Guys dont trust the guides on the internet to activate this. If you want to activate it (this is for PC since i use a PC) just follow these steps 1. Launch the game 2. go to extras 3. go to enter code 4. use shift+tab to find the code 5. enter the code with the dash (-) included 6. click accept and then a notification should pop up (in game) saying you unlocked ....... and i suggest doing this for the other DLCs too if you bought them as well
You want to know what happened to Subject 16 and Lucy (why you did what you did at the end of Brotherhood)? You'll find out here
I know people don't like these segments, but I loved them. Clay's in particular had more variety in architecture and traps, although Desmond's had the cool music. Also, I was underwhelmed that Constantinople, while beautiful, was comprised almost entirely of the crowded city street layout, and I found this change of scenery rewarding. Besides, it's cool to play a historical adventure, go through something bizarre and "computer-y" like this, and say that it's totally the same game! I love this series! The only thing I disliked: This first-person vision with blocks-generating to platform wasn't compelling enough. If they had used Desmond's skills to make a third-person free-running parkour in these scenarios (just like that level in Brotherhood where Desmond met 16), Desmond's Journey and this DLC would have been so much better and remarkable.
Despite its short playtime, the Lost Archive DLC pulls off the feat to feel like an eternity thanks to its incredibly dull and boring gameplay & presentation
Did you enjoy the “Desmond’s Journey” side content during the main game? Do you want more of it? Considering the reception to it, the answer is most likely “no”. And yet, the Lost Archive DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations gives us about 1-2h more of it, for some godforsaken reason. Instead of going through Desmond’s life, you’re exploring the life of Subject 16 this time around. Which, in theory, isn’t bad considering we don’t really know that much about him to begin with. And with some additional information about Lucy Stillman, the (little) information we do get about them could be quite interesting for any dedicated Assassin’s Creed fan. However, these little lore bits are part of a DLC that’s so overwhelmingly dull and boring, that you should save your time and just read the Wiki entry itself. Seriously, considering what little presentation the gameplay sections offer, you’ll lose nothing by just checking the Wiki. Just like the Desmond bits from the main game, you’ll pass a lot of monotonous hallways with a few lasers in between. There’s not a single character model to be encountered, hell, even the player doesn’t have one. What you do encounter are a lot of extremely simple puzzle platforming sections. Although “puzzle” might be too strong of a word, since the riddle aspect is mostly figuring out where the hell the goddamn barrier-disabling button is located this time. The rest of the time you’re slowly walking around or building platforms to pass some extremely easy obstacles. This makes for an incredibly mind-numbing experience, considering neither a good presentation nor interesting gameplay is present. When the end finally came, all I could feel was happiness that the entire thing was about – until I realised that there’s actually an alternate ending present, which would require me to play this game some more. I considered this scenario for about one second and then decided to uninstall the game instead. Watching the alternate ending on YouTube, I found out that I made the right decision. Concluding, the only people who can get something out of this experience are either diehard Assassin’s Creed fans or the few who actually enjoyed “Desmond’s Journey”. Everyone else should just check the Wiki & be glad they saved themself some time.

Do not buy this dlc, it will break your save games!

Only for diehard fans of the series. If you enjoyed the first person Desmond portions of Assassin's Creed Revelations then you will also enjoy this. If not, then stay away as this is more of the same. The main reason to check this out, and this DLCs strongest aspect, is its story. Subject 16's tale is fleshed out nicely and you gain new insights on Lucy, William (
Desmond's father
) and Abstergo as well. However, I can't recommend paying full price for this. 10$ for ~2.5 hours of content, including seeking out all collectables, just isn't a good deal in the video game genre. Then take into account the mediocre gameplay and sometimes overly simplistic visuals and audio and you have a product that is very borderline in whether to recommend it or not. I do appreciate the abstract art style but I think they did them better in Desmond's story. The same is true for the audio, particularly the music. That never grabbed my attention, unlike with Desmond (I loved the club scene).

This DLC unlocks Altair outfit which is my all time favorite, but honestly I don't think we'd be able to use it anymore, since Ubisoft is shutting down the servers, and we won't be able to use the DLCs!

Before you activate code for this DLC in "Extras" - BACKUP your save file!!! If not - activation will override your save file and you can't continue playing. Shame on Ubisoft, you, guys, SUCK!

This DLC is about the same as Desmond's memory sequences you unlock in the original game by gathering animus data fragments. It really focuses on story, discussing some interesting topics on the main assassin's life. On that point, it deserves one's attention. However, it falls short on gameplay. It is pretty much the same experience as before, except this time it's longer. The journey gets tedious from after the first 10 minutes until the end. If you're really a fan of the Assassin's Creed series and like to learn more about the story behind Desmond, I'd recommend you to search for it on google or youtube, as it is worthwhile. Otherwise, just ignore this piece of downloadable content.

The DLC is unplayable since October 1, 2022 because ubisoft shut down the online service and the DLCs are tied to the online (except if you have already activated the DLC or something) You can still buy it on Steam ofc :) EDIT : I succeeded. I was playing on singleplayer, and a little pop up appeared in the bottom-right corner, above the minimap, stating that "the connection to the ubisoft servers had been retrieved". I quit to the menu and could add the keys of my DLCs. You probably won't be able to do the same, but hey, we never know.
