  Rollercoaster Tycoon the best of the rollercoaster creating games! If you never played this in your childhood, your parents probably didn't love you or you weren't old enough to comprehend how awesome this was/is, Now you can experience it whether you played it back in the day or are new to this!! Have fun building awesome rollercoasters that visitors are to afraid to get on, that took you an hour to create! You can build cool food courts with fountains and flowers with a random pyramid built in the middle because WHY NOT!?! its all to make your park looks cool! You can also build death traps! do you remember those visitors to afraid to go on you really cool rollercoaster that took you forever to make!?! why don't you just go kill them off by build a rollercoaster that launches them into the air and then they hit the ground in a ball of flames! That will teach them next...well it will teach the other visitors!! In conclusion this game is awesome and cheap and it has the same stuff back in the day! i give this 1,000 visitors and a Park Rating of over 900!!! or 10/10

  In a post-apocalyptic world, you are the manager of a random (more or less) spot of land with the ability to instantly change the terrain and build Disneyland rides, and an endless population of white, brown-haired males that need to eat, drink, go to the bathroom, and be entertained. In order to survive in this unforgiving world, you must ask yourself difficult, sometimes painful, questions. Such as: Should I create a legit coaster or something to turn people into cherry pudding? Why will nobody go on my roller coaster I spent the last 2 hours making? And, most crucial of all... How did I lose all my damn money?! Roller Coaster Tycoon. Your Decisions will shape the amusement park around you For real, if you didn't play this game (or one of the sequels) as a kid, something went wrong in the system. Sorry to break it to ya.

  Still the same great game. Plays and runs just as I remember from childhood. Here are a few issues I experienced and how I fixed them. I had one game crash with several food shop windows open and a couple tools. I don't even know if this caused the crash but it has been perfectly stable every since and I try to close each window before opening another. Also I have had several windows open at once since then, but when I realize this I am quick to close them all. I had an issue with side screen edges cutoff in full screen mode. Changing resolution in game requires you have the map loaded and using the blue floppy disc icon at the top. Seemed to fix the edges when I changed the resolution. After fixing the resolution problem, the game began to lose brightness. I would load a new map and the screen would get progressively darker over about 15 seconds. Restarting the game reset the brightness but it always got dim again. Monitor brightness adjustments had the same effect (reset recur). Finally switching to windowed mode kept it at normal brightness throughout, and also did a better job scaling resolution to my display than full screen. double win! After ~15 hours of playtime with this version I updated my NVIDIA driver and the game began to experience very bad screen tearing, so I activated V sync with nvidia control panel, and tried every compatibility mode from windows 10 and back. Nothing worked, but when I set the control panel to disable V sync instead of default it actually fixed the screen tearing.

  I remember the olden days when I was a little 10-year old kid who enjoyed drowning my customers. I'm still doing that 8 years later. 10/10. EDIT: After upgrading to Windows 10, I am unable to play the game (there may be a way, idk), but it runs fine on my Windows 7 Laptop. EDIT 2: Ran with windows 8 compatibility mode and works fine in 1024x768 resolution, but it's an old game and damn it, it's still so much fun to come back to.

  A charming and timeless game, Rollercoaster Tycoon will continue to please the young at heart and theme park fans today. The Pre-Rendered graphics still hold up to this day better than most games of it's time. The most impressive thing about this game is the development of it. It was programmed by one man; Chris Sawyer. The highlight of this game is seeing your guests come off your ride enjoying themselves. It is a very rewarding experience. That's not to say this game is without faults. One of the bigger problems is the limitation of scenery. This was however fixed in the game's sequels, and if we go into nitpicking, there are problems with the janitors only mowing grass (which can be easily fixed by checking a box). These things can be overlooked however and I believe that this entry in the series is by far the most rewarding. I haven't sunk as many hours into this game as the other entries but that doesn't mean I haven't had fun the entire time, grinning like an idiot ear to ear 8/10
