  The graphics and art style are simply breathtaking, and every aspect of the game world has been crafted with incredible attention to detail. It's clear that the developers poured their hearts and souls into creating a world. This cooperative game is a perfect example of teamwork and communication, with easy-to-learn mechanics and satisfying challenges.

  Warning: There's no keyboard support yet. Had a fun time playing this, but we did hit a few bugs. I wouldn't recommend buying this right now, but I'm still giving it a thumbs up because I had fun in it. For one, the audio sliders are completely useless. Even if I put master audio to zero, there's still sound, audio needs work. Also, you're going to have arguments with the person you play this with, but I have no regrets.   Fun game, played it with son at EGX London and enjoyed it, son loved the characters and the vivid levels. Puzzles need good coordination and timing but is forgiving. Could do with save spaces for different attempts.

  I have just finished playing with my 8-year-old daughter. River Tals was a fantastic experience for both of us! we were familiar with the game because we had the chance to try it at EGX and couldn't wait to play it. she instantly fell in love with the furple cat and when we had the chance to pick it up my daughter was thrilled! we had a lot of fun having to work together to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles and defeat bosses. the game isn't always easy, but it's not punitive and allows you to try again and again without losing progress. it seems that the fish has it a bit easier than the cat and that's not necessarily a bad thing. in the parts that were too difficult for my daughter we just swapped controllers to overcome the part and never really interrupted the flow of the game and the fun. One of the highlights is definitely the truly delightful graphics. Every detail, from the bright colors to the fluid animations, has been designed with great care, you can see the love the developers put into making everything. The cinematic soundtrack is equally enchanting and fits the atmosphere of the game perfectly, the audio on the other hand is still a bit rough and can make progress, but after all, let's not forget that it's early access. in conclusion: I cannot recommend this game enough to all parents looking for a fun way to spend time with their children. River Tails is a colourful, fun and engaging game. If you are looking for a game that allows you to combine fun and closeness with your children, this is the one for you! the storyline is not complete at the moment, at EGX i played a level with canyons and turtles which is not present in this release. I hope the developers will add it soon. I look forward to the full experience!

  My girlfriend and I are loving it! It's not a huge AAA co-op game and it needs a bit more polish and the 3D platformer aspects of the game make the game slightly harder for newcomers to 3D platforming in general, it's nothing dreadful but I wish there were some "accessibility" aspects Otherwise you can see it has some parts where the camera isn't see through (insanely annoying) or behaves in weird ways, that's about it when it comes to complaints. Otherwise it's just currently lacking content. I'd say "Wait for..." but not really, these types of games don't sell well and the devs also got to eat, they aren't robots (yet) Also yes, I do recommend the game at this state. It surely needs polish but it's really fun! Hopefully it gets a console release and gets the word out, sadly PC gamers aren't too keen about co-op I absolutely commend them for bringing a reeeeeally small niche game to Steam, and they're also listening to feedback!

  This game is sooooo cute. I adore the character designs & animation so much. Its also consistently funny that every animal is this world except Furple (& i suppose the beavers) are petty jerks to each other. Of course the main hook of the game is the co-op platforming which is extremely fun! Movement feels great & the currently available two chapters offers consistently solid teamwork puzzles that are well checkpointed. Looking forward to the full release but the current early access release is a really fun evening co-op romp

  If you love playing co-op games, this is a must! I have played this with my bf and we laughed a lot!! The game deliver what's promised: art is joyful and colorful, characters and animations are cute and every mechanic of the game works ONLY if you communicate with your gaming buddy. I was playing Furple the cat (which imo is slightly harder than the fish). In certain points the difficulty is slighlty challenging at the moment but checkpoints are very generous and every fail is a laugh anyway :) PRO -you laugh all the time -art is neat -simple and easy to get -furple is too cute CONS -some difficulty spikes can be improved, hopefully in the final release we can hope in an "assist" easier mode? -camera! (it happens just a couple of times but it's frustrating) gets occluded by environment elements, needs some extra polishing, please consider fixing this for final release. In conclusion this is a great Early Access, no major problems, final release is promising. Hopefully this will get on consoles? I would love to play it also on Switch. Looking forward to the final release!

  The game is really delightful; even at this early access stage, it is very enjoyable. Technically sublime, with exceptional animations. In general, all the love that the guys from Kid Onion Studio are putting into their first game shines through in River Tails — just kudos.

  really fun! the solo mode is really challenging but if you take the time to master it, you enter this awesome flow state where you just nail every section. the co-op is also super fun, getting through challenges barely even trying with your partner is really satisfying. the one thing i'd say this game *really* needs is some sort of online version, but remote play applications have worked (mostly) fine for me. overall a really solid game, especially for being in EA.

  I've beat all of this game (currently has to offer). It is early access so only the first 2 chapters of the game are available for now. I have beaten this game solo, even though it was designed for 2-player cooperative play. It was by no means was this was easy and at times it was just plain mean. The hardest part of solo playing this games was chase sequences There is definitely still a few bugs that cause me lag during cut scenes, no-clip through the ground, and controller configuration, etc. Furple, the purple cat has less traps and no enemies you had to fight, even the 2 bosses were sea creatures, a piranha and a frog. The hardest part of playing purple was coordinating the jumps to the other players movement. Finn, the orange fish has a lot more to do; he creates planforms for Furple, lures the enemies, run from danger, does more of the fighting, and more. whoever would play him would have more work to do. I like the game and would like to play it once it is fully completed and this hopefully with someone to play it with instead of a complex solo-play
