  Controls and shooting are pretty clunky and outdated, even for the time of this game's release. Nevertheless, this is one of the best adventure/puzzle games out there. Voicing and sound design is great. Levels are unique and varied, presenting the player with a wide variety of challenges. The final level of the game had an element of its design that absolutely astounded me: a non-euclidean 3D space. That is, part of the 3D environment would change depending on which direction from which you entered it. Mind boggling for a game of its age.

  This game is CLUNK CITY but once you get used to how it handles, it's a very fun action Tomb Raider-esque platformer. The story is good enough to adapt into a movie, the cutscenes sometimes feel straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. Fair warning tho, the opening cutscene to the Lava Temple level has a tendency to crash so if that happens go into Options and set Video Settings as low it will go. The cutscene should play after that and you can put everything back how you like it. If you like Indiana Jones you'll probably like this game

  If you can get past the tank controls, this game is really fun. It's obviously a Tomb Raider ripoff, but Tomb Raider was inspired by Indiana Jones anyway, so who cares? Would you call this... an infernal review?

  HOW TO PLAY ON STEAM DECK: This game has pretty clunky controls but if you're in for the nostalgia trip it's a fun time. When playing on Steam Deck I encountered an issue that essentially turns the save/load game screens into unusable white boxes. Here's the workaround. 1. Find a community controller layout that works for you 2. Assign the quick save (F5) and quick load (F8) buttons to any free/unassigned back buttons. 3. Use the quick load button when death is inevitable (Low health or falling off a cliff) 4. (Optional) Assign the escape key to a different unused back button. If you die, you'll have to exit the game and launch a new one. You can skip the cinematic intro if you assigned the escape key as I suggested in step 4. Now you'll have to re-watch the unskippable intro where Indy shows up and says: "Time to go to work." It's only like 10 seconds long. From there you'll be able quick load into wherever you last quick saved. Is this annoying and cumbersome? Yes. But it's the only way to play this retro game on the Steam Deck. Hope this helps!

  This game is a good 3D adventure platformer: think about Tomb Raider with Indy instead of Lara and you have it in a nutshell. People who played the graphic adventure "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" will rejoyce seeing that Sophia Hapgood is back in action. Or maybe not, because she was kind of obnoxious. The story takes place in 1947 so the bad guys aren't nazis anymore but rather commies. There's no big difference, though, as you still have to kill them all. Anyway, the gameplay is the same as the aforementioned TR (you even get to drive vehicles) and there are plenty of weapons to suit every strategy. Graphics are fine and dubbing is excellent. For its time, it was great.

  The only way to get any enjoyment out of this game is by being a big enough Indiana Jones fan that you'd torture yourself with this Bubsy 3D level platforming. Luckily I am that big a fan. Other groundbreaking 3D platforming games had been out for a while before this game and all Lucasarts seems to have done is directly translate a Point-and-Click game into a 3D platformer, without giving much attention to controls. I like that you can draw on the walls, I love that you can name your save files, I really enjoy the silly dialog when Indy finds something interesting. I absolutely abhor the platforming and controls but as an Indiana Jones fan, I can't let this classic go with less than an 8/10.

  I have fond memories of playing this game in the late 90s. I just booted it up and played through the first couple of levels. It runs surprisingly well, although the controls are a bit dated (keyboard-based). I'm glad Disney brought it and the others to Steam!
