  If you can get past the tank controls, this game is really fun. It's obviously a Tomb Raider ripoff, but Tomb Raider was inspired by Indiana Jones anyway, so who cares? Would you call this... an infernal review?

  The only way to get any enjoyment out of this game is by being a big enough Indiana Jones fan that you'd torture yourself with this Bubsy 3D level platforming. Luckily I am that big a fan. Other groundbreaking 3D platforming games had been out for a while before this game and all Lucasarts seems to have done is directly translate a Point-and-Click game into a 3D platformer, without giving much attention to controls. I like that you can draw on the walls, I love that you can name your save files, I really enjoy the silly dialog when Indy finds something interesting. I absolutely abhor the platforming and controls but as an Indiana Jones fan, I can't let this classic go with less than an 8/10.

  I have fond memories of playing this game in the late 90s. I just booted it up and played through the first couple of levels. It runs surprisingly well, although the controls are a bit dated (keyboard-based). I'm glad Disney brought it and the others to Steam!

  Very good! I had always wanted to play this game when i was 14 on my Nintendo 64 but never was able to get my hands on it on the shelf of some local european videogame store! Always had the idea in the back of my mind of playing this through when i 'd be older! Im 32 now and finally fulfilling my destiny and flailing around with excitement! Buy this one if you have N64 nostalgia of platformers with clunky camera angles and dull controls! This one is Indiana Jones' first foray into a mix of 3d platform and action shooting game but its worth the ride ! A tough nut to crack for the most resilients among us!

Also before doing something stupid or Indy falls like a dork and loses half health. +/- Changing resolution to match monitor will fubar the health icon and item system (1680 might work better) +/- Level design was basic back in the day -Game crashing at Palawan Temple intro. For a fix go to the link. This fix was tested by me and works. Indy has aimbot. -Lack of patching support when new -Still has many bugs -Infernal Machine does have mouse support. Takes over control of movement from keyboard. Combined with bad camera angles, it's not recommended to be enabled. Rebind for wsad or keep using arrow keys.

  If you're a big Indiana Jones fan, this is the closest you can get to a legitimate Indiana Jones game and not just an action game with Indiana Jones in it. I love this game because I loved Indiana Jones since I was three, but it has frustrating platforming, bad action, cheesy dialogue; Fate of Atlantis and Emperor's Tomb are both far better options for Indiana Jones fans and action-adventure platformer fans. Despite all that, I love this game so much and can't bring myself to not recommend it. I'm blinded by nostalgia, but Indiana Jones fans will still love it.

  Without any warning, Steam decides to add one of my favorite childhood games. I still remember playing this in my mom's old PC. Always under the shadow of the tomb raider games, it is still a great game on it's own, with an interesting story, great voice acting and many not-so-simple platforming puzzles. But just a piece of warning to newcomers: this game only has keyboard support, no mouse, and the camera angles and control are a bit clunky. For some this can be a turn-off, for others (like me) just creates another great challenge. 'Cause I just started a new playthrough after all these years, and it is still totally playable. An amazing classic, greatly underrated.

  I hate to do this because I love and do enthusiastically recommend this game, but this version is terrible and should be avoided. For years, we've been plagued with compatibilty problems with this game; crashes, resolution/ scaling problems, incompatible 32bit installer... you name it, this game has probably suffered from it. Until just the other week, anyway, when GOG released it. Much of the stability problems were fixed, and lo! finally the game scaled properly in higher resolutions. Sure, the game still has its problems-- it's been buggy since the day it was released, but for once it ran relatively well on modern systems. The GOG version was and is a revelation. The biggest problem was being unable to rebind controls in game without a crash, but it could be worked around. Now Steam releases their version with a new Launcher that works well, the ability to rebind controls without crashing, and a much needed ability to default movement to run without having to hold a second key. All sounds fine, except all the resolution and scaling problems fixed in the GOG release are present again here! And the opening animations are just as jittery and unwatchable as they were with the old stock installer from the CD-ROM on a modern system. Why?! Why does the GOG version fix these problems but the Steam version does not!? The other improvements are inconsequential when you consider that the game doesn't play correctly unless you seriously downsize the resolution. This is absolutely a shame, and unless it gets addressed in a future update, I must unfortunately warn all away from buying this. Go buy the GOG version instead, you'll be much happier. It's really a wonderful adventure with great level design, addictive puzzle/ platforming, excellent voice acting from the great Doug Lee, and of course a story by Hal Barwood-- there's a lot to recommend! I just recommend that you play it elsewhere.

  Although I love this game, it doesn't work! I tried to open in different compatibility modes but none of them worked. Try to search in the internet and only found people with same problem but with no fix. Steam shouldn't release old games without been totally compatible with the current OS
