This game plays as if it was created by a 13 year old pubescent virgin. The cut scenes appear to be thrown together; graphics were crappy, dialogue was poorly written, and the voice acting was attrocious (almost sounds like the voices were computer generated as opposed to being voiced by a real human). The gameplay was bland, combat felt clunky with the keyboard and mouse, but improves with a controler. I'd say that the controller support is one of the few highlights of the game. It's clear that this game had a low budget. Low budget games don't have to be bad. I've played plenty of low budget games that had incredible gameplay and imaginitive stories (vvvvvv is one that comes to mind). It sort of feels like dead mage blew the entire budget on graphics at the expense of every other aspect of game play. I realize that I probably spent more time downloading this game than actually playing it; however, if someone had a gun to my head forcing me to play this game or die, I'd probably rip the gun out of my captor's hands and take my own life.

Somehow, even worse than the first game. And that's an impressive achievement.

The prequel to the "Garshasp: The Monster Slayer" game. While the game is very short, 1,5 - 2hrs to beat it, I experienced the same dull combat like in the predecessor, but level design that is even more uninspired, more FPS drops, more bugs, and hilariously bad writing and cutscenes (the opening animation is comedy gold: "Well at least let's take a rest. I'm your brother. Can't you see I'm dying?!") The only noteworthy thing is that the combat animations are slightly, slightly better. Avoid.

The voice acting is laughable (like, Ed Wood or The Room bad). You'll fight with the camera more than you will with enemies. Half of the boss fights the boss will be off camera somewhere doing... something... if you move around at all. Controls are all over the place. If you thought the original was badly designed, this prequel will blow your mind.

This is far shorter than the original, and suffers from worse framerates, jankier controls, and sometimes broken cameras. The final boss fight is needlessly drawn out and not terribly enjoyable. Same caveat as before: Only on a deep sale, and only if you're very bored.

Literally one of the worst games I have ever played with one redeeming value: It is mercifully short. If it did not crash or softlock so often, probably less than 1,5 hours, maybe even 1 hour. Everything I could say has been said: Terrible controls, laughable animations with dated graphics, a camera that is actively fighting the player. The first game was not that bad, even if it gave me a bluescreen and was dead after I saved my computer, I was only 15 minutes from finishing that. This one on the other hand is an insult to players. Trust the reviews, do not waste your time.

Contrary to others I find this game fun and quite enjoyable. It's fluid, has a good combat engine. What more do people want? I can see myself stuck in my chair trying to play through it. This type of game is a rarity on PC and I think It translates well. I am more than happy with my purchase. To those that don't like this game I ask "What more do you want in a game?"

its alright if you're really bored my biggest complaint is that 90% of all sounds in this game are completely stolen from oblivion go play oblivion for 20 minutes then play this, not a single original sound

Ths is the sequel to a reasonably enjoyable, and technically proficient hack and slasher, and all I can say is "Wow!" I'd love to be saying "Wow" because the game is a stunning sequel to something that had potential, and because this game realizes that potential.....But, if the negative review doesn't give it away already....*drum roll*... it fails miserably. First and foremost - I quite liked the first Garshasp game. It wasn't stunning, but it showed a decent level of craft. This game however is fairly sloppy, and really, really, really (REALLY!!!) short. I finished it on hard in an hour and forty minutes, which is disgraceful value for money. The story and voice acting is utterly terrible. The camera, which was previously fixed, is now mildly dynamic - but often jittery, and frames the action awkwardly. Truthfully I think this is an unfinished game - despite it having a beginning and an end, its the bare minimum for qualifying as a "story" (a really bad story) and being a "game". The worst thing is that up until the abrupt ending I would have said it was a more confident game than the first one, and despite the wonky camera it is fairly enjoyable. But then it went and threw all that away, with an annoying final boss, a ridiculously short play time and a seriously naff ending. This is a pity, as up until that point it was a much better paced game than the previous one. In the end though it's one of the most shockingly poor games I've ever played....(and I played the playstation 1 version of Shadowman all the way to the end lol)
