  Good simple murderous fun. Small but enjoyable selection of weapons. Tracks aren't too challenging but when you're busy killing things that's not a bad thing. I look forward to finishing all the achievements to this game.

  I love combat racing games and this one is a fun and cool combat racing game with original design, nice graphics, good gameplay and music. It gets even better - more frantic and reckless - once you unlock faster cars and higher weapons! Over the last couple of years, it seems that this genre of games, with a few exceptions, almost completely migrated on mobile. I honestly don't care if it was originally a mobile game, mainly because it's a good ps port, but also the shortage of such games on PC is rampant. I'll say this - after having played this and Cyberline racing (both solid games on PC) - Start making good PC ports of mobile combat racing games and bring them on steam, we need them! :D The only gripe I had with the game was, that I couldn't fire both weapons and steer at the same time, a keyboard ghosting problem, but after posting my issue on the discussion forums the developer told me not to use ctrl and alt keys for left and right weapons, and that is exactly what I had set. So I changed them back to left weapon z or y key (y in my case because I have an QWERTZ keyboard) and right weapon x. This fixed the problem completely. Update: after finishing the game my thoughts are, well, it gets boring when it starts to feel repetitive and almost like a chore. But after all it was made by one man, so props to that.

  Battle Rider not a bad game for the money ok graphics looks quiet nice on 4k tv plays well. If you like a bit of easy racing there is a good few hours of fun to be had with this game. Handling and feel are good but basic always fun though multiplayer would be a great addition.

  Tremendous. I was looking for something with cars equipped with weapons and this more than fits the bill. It is not as complex as a purist racer but the basic racing is solid enough even without the joy of nuking someone who dared drive in front of you. Do these opponents not realise you have the divine right to conquer? Fall behind me and eat my dust; get in front of me and eat my missiles.

  If you value your money, spend a bit more and get Gas Guzzlers Extreme. This game is awful. The only reason it's so cheap is because it feels as a Mobile Phone port to PC (i'm not surprised if it actually is.) This game feels very claustrophobic, and has a ton of issues and stuff that should plain simple work. - Maps aren't open at all, you feel very enclosed - The AI sucks, I don't feel challenged for a second - The driving is just bad, the physics suck, even for a mobile game - UI, doesn't support controllers, the way of choosing colors and stickers should be a drop down sort of menu, not a previous/next one. - The Cars get very uninteresting very quickly, you don't have a lot of actual diferentiation for them And a lot more that I can't even remember right now. I'll keep playing it for a while and try to get all the achievements (I'm an achievement hunter) but so far, I won't recommend this game to anyone, Gas Guzzlers is a lot more fun. If my opinion ever changes, I'll let you guys know. If this game was on my phone it would be passable.

  I feel like this game deserves a review from me as I've quite enjoyed it for 15-something hours (which is how long it took me to practically complete the game, aside from steam achievements). The game starts off a little slow and I was not sure if I would enjoy playing it at first, but I kept at it, because I wanted to play a racing game while listening to podcasts and for that, this game was perfect. There are some smaller issues, like you have to use the mouse for navigating the menus even while using your controller for the races themselves. I also felt like the weapons except for the missiles (which became my default weapons) were not that much fun because you could not really tell if you were making much damage, and it often felt like you weren't really making any damage at all. Destroying other cars however can be quite exhilarating, and the survival game mode where the last car standing wins, became my favorite mode, there's just something to hunting down the other cars. There are other modes as well, such as clean races which exclude the use of weapons. No mode was annoying to me as they sometimes can be when developers try to reinvent the wheel (and in a racing game no less), so that is definitely a plus in my book. You have to win the races (place first) to advance, which I found unfortunate at first, but it's really not that bad because you don't need to win all previous races before moving on to the next. The driving feels fine to me, rather arcadey. So all in all I would recommend this game to racing game enthusiasts.

  Very fun Racer like Death Track, Hi Octane, Death Rally or Have A N.I.C.E. Day. There aren't many racers like those afaik. This one is very well made, with good music, satisfying weapons and good sense of speed. That's basically it. I want to dive into a few thoughts. It's well-balanced. Interestingly enough the cars are basically as fast as each other. You cap out after a short acceleration. Sounds weird, feels weird at first. But that means, the group of cars usually stays together and fights. That avoids the usual extensive use of rubberbanding your enemies. On the other hand though ...it makes clean races a real drag. It has several game modes. Battle Races, Clean Races, Time Trials, Duels, Eliminations, Survival. Clean races & Time Trials are quite weird because you basically rush through the circuit in full speed and you're done. Clean races can be a hassle because everyone rambles and blocks as much as possible. Can be fun, can be annoying and awful. Battle Races is the category where everyone runs in, guns blazing, rockets launching and mines throwing until someone still ends up first. Eliminations do the same, but the last one of each round gets disqualified. Duels are against 'stronger' enemies, but you're up aganist only one. Survival is the mode that really shines imo. No health pickups and if you're shot down, race is over. Haven't had one yet, where someone wins because he's first after the finish line. It's always just the last dude standing. And that kind of fun is just brilliant. It reminds me of the glory days with Carmageddon (although that was in an arena and without weapons). It feels right. The weight of the cars, the weight of impact. The sense of speed. Another word about sense of speed. The game casually puts a number on your dial: first 200, then 220, then 250kph. Those numbers - as usual - have no meaning at all. At least though - contrary to usual practice in racing games - the number is low, the speed is high. It's quite slow in the 1st championship, but speeds up nicely on the 2nd and keeps feeling fast. You don't need some extra rare Koeniggsegg Agera with 440kph before you feel like surpassing 100kph. I find that a very nice feature. It doesn't hold up for too many hours, but so far, I'd reckon, it will be fun for about 10-15hours. It's a racer that you can go back casually for grins and giggles every once in a while. If you're in for a fun racer with some senseless violence & explosions, look no further, this one here is great fun.

  I purchased this game for my grandson, who was not too impressed. The game will not allow the use of programming a controller, and attempting to use the keyboard becomes a real hassle. There are too many functions to assign in order for a keyboard to function as well as a controller. In an attempt to utilize the "input" tab to program a controller, the word nightmare came to mind. The input would only recognize a few entries, and of those few, NONE of the assigned buttons worked as programmed. Suffice to say, this renders the game useless. I would love to see the game allow the use of a Logitech controller, as well as other controllers for that matter. It would be best if the devs would update a patch to accomodate controllers that accept the assigned programmed buttons. (aka) make it so controllers will work

  I've seen literally everything that the game has to offer by now, and there is certainly fun to be had here. The racing and the combat are competently made, nothing particularly exciting but it won't offend the senses either. My one gripe with the game is that the gameplay doesn't get all that interesting until you get past the first tier, since cars will go faster and you end up unlocking more weapons, which help add some variety and strategy to races. The game would greatly benefit from having multiplayer, even if it was just local splitscreen, but as it stands it's an OK way to kill some time when you don't feel like doing anything else.

  While not the worst mobile to PC port I've seen, Battle Riders just really isn't as fun. It has decent graphics, decent physics, but horrible sound design and music. It still contains that 'brainless' mobile type of gameplay where everything is dumbed down for phone controls, so it just becomes a boring experience. For $5.00, you can get Gas Guzzlers: Combat Carnage, which is miles better than this game.
