  Cute little base building, survival, crafting game. I think it's been abandoned though since the last update was November 2022.

  it's a fun game with a good balance between exploring around and trying to build your base up to maintain yourself. i dont usually like games with this type of art style but it's honestly so cute and will definitely work well on older computers. after about 6 hours of game play, i've already done everything there is to do so far but it's only a $5 game so i'd say it's worth the price especially because it's still in development and will have more content in the future. the only problem i've ran into is that it saves your progress at the beginning of each in-game day and if you die throughout the day then you will be respawned at the last save (usually at the beginning of that day). that's not a problem until you run out of oxygen as a new day begins and the game saves and you're nowhere near your base and don't have an oxygen tank on you. this basically makes it impossible to continue with that game save as you will just repeatedly spawn back far away from your base with not enough oxygen to make it back. i've learned to always carry an oxygen tank with me when exploring but i think respawning at your base with the items you had at your last save would be a better way to deal with dying so you're not forced to start all over (which i had to do). also constantly having to repair your base can be a bit annoying as it takes up a lot of time running around repairing things. there is a repair bot but it's slow and can only do one thing at a time before having to go back to its pad thing to start the next repair. overall i do enjoy the game a lot and it's definitely going to be more fun as they add more things (hopefully more customization with colors) and i'd recommend it to anyone who likes easy-going survival/base building games.

  Why make a moonbase when you can add cats and make a Mewnbase? The game sees you take control of a cat who has landed on an alien planet (a catstronaut?) and gives you the simple task of surviving. Seems like a simple task, except you forgot to bring any kitty treats and only half-packed your supply cases! At least you remembered a workbench, an airlock and an air filter surely that can get us started? As you wander round the procedurally enerated surface you are going to discover a variety of resources which will help in your 13 day mission! Gather resources, research new technology, craft items, design the ultimate MewnBase and, critically, survive! For being early in development and only about to enter Early Access the game feels pretty accomplished and the only bugs I have encountered so far in my first couple of hours playing are minor graphical glitches that I can overlook. I would definitely reccomend this game which is a steal at less than £5

  Pros - Solid mechanics, balance scouting and scavenging for materials with keeping the base powered and your suit oxygenated - Has cats Cons - Not much to do yet, needs some mission-based goals and some adversaries. - Needs to feature more catness, aside from the player character being a cat and the artifacts being cat toys/food it doesn't factor into the gameplay it is just visual. Recommend for now, with the hope that the devs will expand and not abandon.

  Pros: - A very cute, very enjoyable game. - Has a tech tree and different biomes, - I think randomised maps too. - You get to make your own kitty cat, so thats a bonus ++ Cons: -Super basic - REALLY needs work on its tutorial

  First, a warning: This game is VERY casual. As of this build (0.47) there is really not much of a challenge here. That said, it is more of a challenge than the previous build, so perhaps those who want a bit more stress in their game will have that option. That said, for those who want a nice diversion for about an hour, a round of Mewnbase is actually pretty satisfying. It is a simple survival game with easy controls and a minimalist graphic style. This is one of those games where the whole is more than the sum of its parts and everything is nicely balanced. The little touches like adding light to navigate at night or learning to cook to maximize your food intake are well thought out and make every little advancement feel worthwhile. The only real drawback the challenge aspect. The two modes: endless and 'survive until X days' are two extremes... the endless mode is really only fun for working through the entire tech tree, and the set survival days can seem very short after winning the first one. This game would really benefit from an option to set the length of your mission for those who want a longer experience but also want a win condition. Of course this is a minor blip on an otherwise entertaining little game and it already seems to be taking a direction to fix it. The rest of the game is a good bit of fun and it is very appropriately priced. If you have kids, or want something to lose yourself in from time to time, this is worth getting.

  Value for money here was spot-on. I do enjoy a good base-building survival game. And for some reason this "chill" looking game really resonated with me. First, I played the Normal mode where you have to survive for several days. I nailed this in one go but was a bit like :( when the game ended there because I really wanted to finish my base. So, I replayed in Infinite Mode and had a whale of a time. I think I had everything researched by around day 22. Some modifiers to make the game more challenging would be good. But never-the-less, I really enjoyed this game and would recommend it.

  I bought this game after the death of my tuxedo cat Wulfie to help myself cope with the loss. I played it for an hour or so a day for a week. It's extremely calming, and a fun survivalist game for those that enjoy them. I look forward to seeing more content release for the game, as at the time of my purchase it was an early access game.
