  The game is fine BUT FOR THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST,ALLAH, AND BUDDHA LET ME DISABLE THE WEBCAM each time i beat a event it turns my laptops camera on and gets this just 10/10 picture of my forehead

  First and foremost, the complaints from most of these mixed reviews about the black screen and game crash after startup are true, as I too I suffered from them. Thanks to a bit of Googling, I figured how to get this game to work properly. I'm not aware of any other issues with this game, but the reason that mine had the black screen and game crash is because of EA's dumb*** feature to connect to the consumer's webcam so that their in-game license gets photo updates. Why the idea of replacing photos with in-game avatars never crossed their minds is beyond me, but that's EA for you. How did I solve my issue? My Google searches led me to figuring out how to set up a Virtual Webcam. Once I got it running, the game connected to it in the background and voila! Seriously though, the idea that a webcam is at all necessary for this game to function properly is so ridiculously stupid, but then again, since when is EA ever reasonable with any of their games? Hopefully other folks find this review helpful in that it points you in the right direction to getting Burnout to work. I can honestly say that I'm enjoying it a lot, and I'm happy that I finally have a chance to play Burnout. (Yes, this is my first ever Burnout game. I missed out on the Xbox releases but I'm playing it now, okay?)

  seems to be another bad buy on my part. I wanted to treat myself to a classic and try it out, but unfortunately the game always crashes after the start, when it´s connecting to the Online Services. Apparently there are no possible solutions, since almost 80% of the players in the forum have the same problem...

  I love this game, but the PC port is a mess. To get past the first cut-scene without it crashing i had to: 1. Disable Steam Overlay 2. Make an exception in the Windows Defender firewall 3. Use Powershell to uninstall Xbox Game Bar 4. Install a mod I found the link to in a Reddit thread 5. Find config.ini in the AppData folder (WHICH IS HIDDEN) and change the VSync value to 0 6. Disable all camera devices, capture cards, VR headsets, ect. 7. Switch to intergrated graphics, because it doesn't support NVIDIA cards 8. Unfriend any EA friends that have more than 25 characters in their name Get it on console and save yourself the trouble 10/10 game 0/10 port

  PSA: GAME LAUNCHING IS BROKEN. Hugely disappointing that this cannot be launched without all kinds of stupid work-arounds. I should have read the reviews! You're probably thinking "Psh, i can put up with some pain to get it going, its so fun!" nooo. Once you get past the first hurdle of needing to play with Origin in Offline mode - then you will be stuck listening to the tedious and unskippable intro video just to see the game crash at the DMV screen over (before saving your license) and over while you try different things. Its not worth it imvho.

  So I heard that this game is an amazing classic and wanted to try it out, but if you've read other reviews, you probably already guessed why this one is negative :) Yup, game crashes every time, no matter the fix i tried. Good thing steam has a good refund policy. Conclusion: buy at your own risk and don't be too surprised if it doesn't work.
