Super Meat Boy Forever Funciones

The challenge of Super Meat Boy returns in Super Meat Boy Forever! This time around Meat Boy is always running, like literally...it's an auto-runner. He can't stop and he won't stop. Levels are brutal, death is inevitable, and players will get that sweet feeling of accomplishment after beating a level. Players will run, jump, punch and kick their way through familiar settings and totally new worlds.

What’s better than playing through Super Meat Boy Forever once? The answer is simple: Playing through Super Meat Boy Forever several times and having new levels to play each time. We created over 6000 level chunks and smash them together to create new unique levels and each time the game is completed the option to replay the game appears and generates a whole new experience by presenting different levels with their own unique secret locations. We’ve handcrafted literally thousands of levels for players to enjoy and conquer. You can replay Super Meat Boy Forever from start to finish several times before ever seeing a duplicate level. It is truly a remarkable feat of engineering and a monumental example of ignoring the limits of rational game design and production.

Super Meat Boy Forever takes place a few years after the events of Super Meat Boy. Meat Boy and Bandage Girl have been living a happy life free of Dr. Fetus for several years and they now have a wonderful little baby named Nugget. Nugget is joy personified and she is everything to Meat Boy and Bandage Girl. One day while our heroes were on a picnic, Dr. Fetus snuck up on them, beat Meat Boy and Bandage Girl unconscious with a shovel and kidnapped Nugget! When our heroes came to and found that Nugget was missing, they knew who to go after. They cracked their knuckles and decided to never stop until they got Nugget back and taught Dr. Fetus a very important lesson. A lesson that can only be taught with punches and kicks.

I wanted to enjoy this game, I really did I waited so long for it I got Super Meat Boy back when it released and loved it, it was hard but fair, everything I did wrong felt like my fault and I loved it This game is not Meat Boy This feels like a different game with a meat boy skin added Not to say its a bad game, but its not a Meat Boy game The Auto Running ruins everything, especially in Dark World Levels 90% of Deaths I got in my hour of playing felt like the games fault instead of my skill because you just keep running, you can't adjust yourself to react to the fast moving environment, you just have to accept what comes, and the A+ Time requirements are too strict, it took me 7 attempts to A+ the tutorial, THE TUTORIAL, even when I was spamming punch to boost myself as much as I could it just decided not to give me it, I got super close but not enough so many times, and I just barely made it on my 7th attempt I am so disappointed by this I actually feel like crying If you are a fan of Super Meat Boy, don't buy this

The first thing for people to mouth often is "autorunner??????" with 0.2 hrs of playtime, and whilst it's fair for people to be upset it isn't just more meat boy, I feel it's a bit unfair to only talk about that design decision. There's a bit to like, but a lot to complain about too. It's not just a disappointing sequel, it's pretty poorly designed gameplay wise. Before I get there, let's go over the positives. For one, it has a great artstyle and the animations are quite smooth, I liked the small touches with idle animations and the cutscenes are very charming. For two, the warp zones were pretty cool concepts, kinda harsh sometimes, but fine. And finally, a fair few gimmicks are actually quite cool but underused (like pipes in world 3, which only appeared once). Now, let's get into why I think this is simply not a good game, nevermind a sequel. I've tried to give this game justice, so I played through the 5 base light worlds and at least attempted every regular dark level, so here we go. First off, why the hell is this game proceduraly generated? Whenever a new save is created, the game chooses a seed and randomises most level's structures. For a endless runner precision platformer, why would you do this? Platformers should be recognised for their level design, nevermind a precise one like smb, so it being semi-random is so obviously dumb it baffles me. Second, a weird design choice was making the levels in a more traditional format, being longer but with checkpoints. There's a reason original smb used short levels, being it's a tough game, so being able to take a break between short yet quite difficult levels levels was quite nice. Worse yet, A+ levels in this game is just AWFUL, nevermind the new frame-perfect S ranks. The game shows how much time you saved from an A+ after each checkpoint, problem being, if you mess up a section, guess it's time for a full restart or find a way to die before next checkpoint since there's no restart from last checkpoint option. I had a level once where there was no way to die between checkpoints, so I had to do THE WHOLE THING without more than one mistake to A+ it. The fact dark worlds are much harder contributes a lot to the new level system's issues, speaking of, the difficulty curve is very dumb, often spiking and then dropping back to piss easy, again, doubly true for dark worlds. And lastly, the elephant in the room, it's an autorunner, but worst part, it feels like a damn mobile game. The jump and punch button are the same button (or buttons) so often you'll end screwing up thanks to a precise use of, say, a teleport. TL;DR: Great visually, but quite lacking in gameplay. Only buy on a heavy sale if you're curious to see what it's like or for visuals.

An Infinite runner can work for games like this, but not for meat boy, it takes away the whole point in my opinion. It's not the platformer we all loved. It feels like a mobile game. Big sad.

Was a big fan of the first one, did not like Forever at all. Played through the first 4 levels, they felt uninspired, the autorunner aspect was the most challenging part of it, most of my deaths were caused by Meat Boy casually running left. Soundtrack sucks, doesn't fit. Meat Boy running dodging bloody saws while some dudes sing a capella. Ultrawide support is non existent, I get it. But to have no option of playing full screen without the game streching to the sides becoming a distorted mess? The only option for ultrawide users is playing windowed. Then there's their exclusive deal fiasco. Had to wait a whole year to try this mess. Gonna ask for a refund.

I didn't mind the differences between the original Super Meat Boy too much, but the game stutters fairly frequently for me. Considering it's already been on the Epic Store for a year I can only assume that the issue won't be fixed. Refunded.

Completely different game to the original in all the wrong ways. I'm amazed they managed to fuck this up so badly. All they had to do was make the game again with more maps and characters with some modern polish. Instead they decided to make a diet mobile phone auto runner game with poor controls, a soulless art style, and port it to PC locked at 60fps with no options. I got this game for £1.50 and it's not even worth that. I will be refunding. There actually good autorunners out there so why tf would I play this. Just make the game we all wanted next time instead of trying to farm the chinese mobile market.

Quick first impressions. The decision to make this game an auto-runner and deviate from the classic version will obviously be controversial. It works, but honestly I liked the old style better. This feels more like a cheap mobile game now. 60 FPS lock. On a game intended to be all about rapid movement and precise timing this absolutely kills the game for me. *edit* The post-launch hotfix restored the 'Exit' option to the main menu. Leaving this comment here as a record of them launching the game with no way to quit though lol

After waiting over a decade for a new Super Meat Boy game, I have to say I am disappointed. Perhaps I will have to play more to really get the feel of this game but the auto-scrolling aspect feels horrible. It feels so frustrating having no agency over where you can move, especially in such a previously fluid and satisfying to control game as SMB. This doesn't feel like Super Meat Boy and I for one would have just been happy to have SMB with new levels

This just isn't fun to play. "We designed 5,000+ levels..." In the words of the wise Kunu, "do less".

I went into this game knowing full well it was an auto-runner. I gave it a fair chance, played it for about four hours, went through most of the main story before deciding nope, that was enough. This game is the antithesis to fun. What made the original Super Meat Boy fun was brutal difficulty with incredibly tight controls, such that you could really test the limits of your skills and ingenuity to overcome the challenges. This, on the other hand, decided to forgo good level design and precise controls for what feels more akin to a mobile game. The auto-running limits your ability to control your character; the fact that getting turned around and running into the left side of the screen can actually kill you because you can't stop or turn around just feels more insulting than difficult. Most levels are fairly one-dimensional as well through the story, adding one new gimmick per level and making those the emphasis rather than increasingly difficult platforming challenges. And sadly, this also makes levels feel rather scripted; generally there's one solution to each level, because the auto-running limits your ability to execute such that it pushes you to do it one specific way. It's not all doom and gloom though as there is some sense of satisfaction from overcoming the platforming levels. The same cannot be said for the bosses; fighting a boss in an auto-runner is just flat out frustrating and not at all enjoyable. It didn't feel like I was dying because the boss was challenging, it felt like I was dying because my inability to control my character limited my ability to execute. There was no room for creativity; the auto-running typically means there's one specific way to beat a boss, making it feel more akin to a puzzle, but again, one that's crippled by an inability to control your character. Every time I beat a boss, I didn't feel a sense of satisfaction or elation. I just let out a deep sigh of relief that the horrible ordeal was over. If you want a great 2D Platformer, this is not it. Play Celeste. Play the original Super Meat Boy. Play Super Mario World. Play literally any other 2D Platformer. As someone who grew up with 2D Platformers, and someone who loved the original Super Meat Boy, this game was a monumental disappointment in every way, shape, and form. I am reminded of an old saying; "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
