I can just repeat what the other reviews already state and add to the negative tenor. What to add: It is even worse as some reviews state it. Not only is this DLC cut content (HELLO INNER SANCTUM DOORS) there is almost NO explanation of the items in terms of data or facts. Or rather, thats why it worse, the info text IS the explanation, which means that many items have no real value or rather that the stuff ingame is better! Let me explain and state what the items do (or don't do): - the beds: while there are now beds for every minion type (nice) they do not have the upgrade from the bed mk II. Meaning that you have fancy beds for the all minion types but loose the bonus of moral and vitality restoration (+ it is not faster anymore, so more downtime and more space used (in comparison with the normal bunk bed) - the doors: even if the doors give 1000% lair awesomeness, they have no stats - they are just doors. Considering doors are more or less meaningless anyway (they get hacked/opened in no time) it is still a fail, if you want to use the better versions, namely reinforced and laser doors (which are strong against special kinds of AoJ). - the XY-restoration/buff stations: although the stations (robot-boxing, vitality-chamber, smart-boost, ..) give good and nice boosts/restoration effects they make one problem of the game even worse - travel time and space management. For one the stations are quite big, which would be ok regarding that most stations are big, but they are also just temporary. Of course nobody wants pay2win but because they wear off, the minions will go there again to refresh the buff. Add to this the bad beds, the way to the mess hall, etc. etc. and you loose more than you really get. Especially because it is hard/impossible to control which minions use them or when, so you can not "buff all guard minions" in preparation for an attack. Either they use it or they don't. Still there are some things which get even better or a nice option to consider (after early game at least) and because the DLC page is bad at explaining them I will state the best IMO here: -Unpleasant Holding Cell - it is more expensive than the normal cell, but drains resolve faster. Not needed on one hand but at least an upgrade on the other (the other secure holding cell has a camera build-in, can not say if it makes really sense, but looks cool) -360° hallway camera - nice bad boy. Range is not great, not bad, but not good either, at least it gives more options for camera placement - on the floor in hallways. They have about 45-50% the range of a normal cam, but in all directions -nice. -Security Checkpoint - looks just awesome. It is a mix of gun-station (of a turret or such) with scan screen and four gimbal cameras and security station (where cameras are controlled) and it helps to see through disguises - also it is a camera (it counts as one but also generates one slot, so nothing lost). Its range is also rather short (30-40% of a camera) and right infront of it, but it works and looks bada** secure. -Communication array - nice addition, besides one broadcast strength it also improves the returns of schemes - meaning you get more money out of them. They are WAY more expensive than the improved broadcast stations (which give two BC strength), so you loose a lot of space, power and money, but they are nice overall. Sadly this can not be said about the Advanced Computers, they seem just to be more expensive. -Armoury Training devices - so far I do not know how long the buff lasts, but, hands down, they look just cool. Like almost all other stuff they feel like cut from the game and should be no (paid!) "DLC", but at least the buffs are great and they look awesome. Besides money they also took quite a bit of space in the armoury, but when the player puts the security stations in its own area the disguise trainer can be placed there, while the other stuff gets nearer to the front line. Luckily at least the melee trainer is rather compact and should fit near many checkpoints. Last but not least, why did I bought it? First so I can add my review ;P but more importantly most reviews did not give me much info beside the "IT IS CUT CONTENT", so I wanted to write a bit more about the content so that the next person can really stop buying it (or buying it and feeling a bit less bad). Also I had high hopes for the computers, wanted the doors (some at least) and really wanted the damn shooting range! YEEEEAAAHHH! <*>tl;dr: if you are on the fence: DO NOT BUY. @Rebellion: Mostly negative is not mostly enough! Count yourselfs lucky and, please, finally make an effort to improve the game properly.

this should have been in the base game, I'm honestly offended that they kept this for the season pass when it would have had massive effect on how you'd play 10-20 hour campaigns, it takes more than the launch windows time to model/animate etc and implement this stuff's. we're back to on disk dlc except now it's just kept away until it's drip feed to us.

Another DLC where you must start your game over. This is another disappointment. When will the developers learn?

2 dlcs so quickly after the game released and still there are bugs... Yeah clearly rebellion is starting to follow paradox for dlc market.. Please fix the building or mass move of items

Many of these items are just straight up cut content from what I've seen. Others are pretty much things you would expect to be in game already. Prison cells? Only the basic one was in the game prior, buy this to get the upgraded one? Basic lame camera? Sure thing. New and improved 360 degrees camera? Buy this! This is not acceptable Rebellion, not at all.

    Cut Content isn't DLC

UPDATE: Since Rebellion has added the ability to incorporate DLC into existing games, *some* of the sting of this DLC is gone but it is still a blatant attempt to get people to pay for vanilla assets they cut This is pure BS cash grab by Rebellion to see if they can get away with it. I have the season pass as part of the deluxe edition and I still call this a ripoff. Several of these items were core components in EG1 so this is just blatant cutting of vanilla core game assets to be repackaged as DLC. Up until now Rebellion has done really well with this game, but this pack cannot be defended. All of this is further exacerbated by the requirement to start a NEW GAME to even get these items to appear.... considering a single game can take 20-40 hours to run through, this is a MASSIVE draw back, doubly so when the last DLC is only a few weeks old, and a casual gamer likely hasn't even finished a game they might have started with that DLC. The items in it of course fit the game well and work just fine. edited: I just noticed the free item they gave away with the patch IS compatible with an existing game so they CAN make these things save game compatible but CHOOSE NOT TO.

I love the game, and enjoying the DLC. But having to start a new game every time a new piece of DLC is released is getting tedious. I don't get much time to play, I get about half way through a run (I think), and have to start over if I want to enjoy the new DLC. Please, please, please make it that you can incorporate DLC into already running games!

Awesome image you guys are building 6 weeks out of release and you already have 2 DLC packs. Guess cutting regular content from a game and trying to make more money is how you guys do business. I will be avoiding any future games from your studio, good job.

I had a campaign measuring some thirty hours running before the In-Genius Items Pack released. My save was not compatible with the new DLC and I was forced to restart the game in order to use the new items I paid for. This was a very Evil maneuver on the developers part and runs 100% with the theme of the game. I applaud the level of meta put into this product. 10/10 Would fall victim to nefarious marketing scheme again.
