  A great pick to play with your friends. Deep Rock Galactic is a stunning balance of goofy lore building and intense high risk, high reward fun. Venture down the bowels of the richest, but foulest planet known, completing various missions for your profit-focused employer. Climb the echelons of the space mining ranks and earn management’s praise with cool customizations and gear upgrades. Work with your mates to face hordes of arachnoid monsters and brave the darkness together. Let each “Rock and stone!” bring your tale closer to that of legendary miner Karl! With its charming lowpoly artstyle, silly storyline, and on-point voice acting, DRG does a very good job of making you feel like this ambitious space dwarf who’s resolute to make a name for themselves. It’s a cosy and light-hearted sandbox coop mining game that puts teamwork at the center of its experience. For management won’t come back to save you once the drop pod has descended the abyss – it’s your team versus the vile nature of Hoxxes IV. Succeed and ascend again, fail and be forgotten – your fate is bound to the depths… The gameplay is quite fun. Pick a class offering unique abilities, choose a mission, and hop in the drop pod. Get in the deep – do all it takes to survive, and remember: leave no dwarf behind. You’ll learn from your mistakes and become acquainted with all Hoxxes has to offer. It’s a very straightforward learning curve, but the experience hasn’t grown old for me. When they’re not on duty, your character has much sweet customization to dabble with. Upgrade your existing gear non-linearly and purchase exciting new weapons through company assignments, style your dwarf from a vast selection of beards, accessories, outfits, colours, and more; complete special assignments to unlock further customization and gather the necessary to forge powerful overclocks for your weapons; promote your dwarf in one class to unlock additional perks reserved to the worthiest miners; mess around with the silly minigames in the space rig, and bother management with your barrel-kicking. There’s plenty to do! I shan’t pretend to be an elite management-decorated gigadwarf who has 3000 hours to account for. However, from my 100-ish hours of experience playing with friends, this game is very balanced. All four classes have unique abilities that complement each other – for instance, the Engineer may use his platform gun to help the Scout reach minerals on walls with his grappling hook, the Driller may dig tunnels for the whole team to benefit, while the Gunner may launch ziplines for everyone to traverse large gaps, and the Scout may use his flare gun to illuminate otherwise deathly dark caves. As you can see, there are gameplay styles for everyone here, with weapons aplenty to choose from, all powerful in the hands of the right dwarf. Will you setup turrets to protect your mates or scout forth the depths in search of loot to share? Main your drills across the stone to build pipelines in seconds, or shelter the team in its moment of need under your portable shield? I’ve played a few other coop games, but no team has ever felt more cohesive to me than Deep Rock Galactic’s band of merry corporate dwarves. An issue often reported with the game is its repetitiveness. Indeed, there are only a few mission types and environments which, though procedurally generated, do become déjà vu over time. This is mostly due to the game’s update cycle, which is rather slow. Still, significant additions to the gameplay are brought every season. It’s very clear the developers have chosen to introduce occasional but enjoyable changes to the benefit of their existing player base rather than pack in a ton of new content to attract masses of new greenbeards – it’s quality over quantity, and I find that reasonable. I personally play this game by bursts, whenever I feel like it, welcoming updates when they occur. Management doesn’t mind part-time workers. Furthermore, all DLCs are completely irrelevant to gameplay: they are purely cosmetic. Even the performance pass, DRG’s take on a battle pass, is completely free to play, with no premium equivalent. This approach is, I think, very laudable and demonstrates the developers’ regard for their players. Purchasing a DLC for this game feels like you’re supporting its development rather than being robbed, and I was glad to purchase the Supporter pack DLC for this reason. In summary, I'm glad to report Deep Rock Galactic is a rock-solid game. It’s fun, balanced, stable, performant, pretty, and I personally can't get tired of it! I hope you’ll find it as enjoyable as I did. Rock and stone! :3

  Great game with very good amount of content and great replayability (thanks for proceduraly generated caves) Toxics in this game are preety rare thing. Most of the players are friendly and will give you advice if you ask (just don't press buttons right away, ask your team before you press one) Good devs that listens to players. And mod support that allows you to install mod that you want in 1 minute without leaving the game. And very rare thing in our days - there is almost no payed content, only dlcs in steam that contain purely cosmetic items even the battle pass is fully free and with task that you complete just by playing the game. I don't have much to say about game, it's just very good. Don't order leaf lover special (or you will be anihilated) and rock and stone!

  This game is so underrated, so if you like looter-shooters and minecraft, then i definitely recommend trying this game! IF YOU AIN'T ROCK AND STONE, YOU AIN'T COMING HOME!
