  Although somewhat expensive, I mostly like the DLC. The map is a nice break from Goldcrest Valley, and the new equipment is interesting enough. However, after playing ~14 hours on the map, all my vehicles suddenly disappeared -- i.e. a game-breaking bug. Others have experienced the same bug too, not to mention multiple other significant bug reports on the forums. After spending several days trying to debug it myself (I work as a dev and have been for roughly a decade), I spent quite a while reporting the bug in a useful email to Giants, offering my assistance in tracking down the error. I also suggested several steps we could take to resolve the issue, that would require cooperation. And all they did was brush me off with a "did you try reinstalling the game". (Yes I did -- this is not my first time touching a computer, thankyouverymuch.) They clearly didn't even properly read my email. I'm appalled by Giants' response, and disappointed in the bugs. I would definitely recommend the DLC if not for the bugs, but until these get patched I'd say hold off.

  The video and screenshots that advertised this DLC made it seem like It was a major content add-on. Unfortunately, It's just a re-skinned map with very little to come with it. The graphics actually look worst than the base game. Actual value based off what's given is MAYBE 3-5 dollars USD. Do not buy unless you get it for very cheap. I'm in the process of getting my money back. Yeah, they give you new equipment but it boils down to them re-selling the same thing it just looks different. It says 0.0 hours but i spent a good 30 minutes on the map. As soon as you join it just feels barren. I had hoped it would be something that really pulls you in and renews the game but it's not. 20.00 bucks for a new house surrounded by desert? Yeah fucking right.

  This expansion is great! The new map is awesome as well. The new machines and vehicles that come with the Platinum Expansion are very well detailed and the sugar cane looks very cool. I recommend picking up this beautiful DLC if your new to FS17 or even a hardcore player like me. The $20 is worth it.

  I wouldnt recommend this. Pros. new crop and some really nice looking vehicles. Cons. 1 map, it crap, its like a "my first mod map" so flat, not much going on 1 main rd very unfarmlike played 1 hour on it and wasnt even worth saving, back playing the west coast, cause thats a farm is like! £15 for this, not happy about the work they dont in this due to the map, but its you a fan like alot of us wait till a sale like under £10...

  At first view of the map, it looked alright and the machinery was nice. After a little time on the map i noticed several flaws with it: There's only 1 vehicle shed and it's not even that big. There are a bunch of big tree's in the courtyard right by the 1 vehicle shed that cannot be cut down with a chainsaw and they are probably not the only tree's that can't be. When driving from the vehicle shop to the farm there's a patch of brown dirt which then when you get closer is slightly hidden away by harvestable grass and by that patch of brown dirt there is a bunch of palm tree's with loads of space inbetween them which holds a giant square of concrete which from the road is very much visible due to grass not loaded in at that distance and as i said grass, yep you go closer to the concrete, they just dropped a load of harvestable grass ontop to try and hide it it. When looking at places to sell your produce then you get like 2-3 options where as on the other maps you get many options as to where you can sell your produce. The new machinery seems to evolve around the new sugarcane but they have added a few other machines to make it seem like its not all about the sugarcane. so in the overall aspect, you get a few hours of fun from something costing too much, in my opinion it shouldnt have cost more than 9,99€ instead. i do not recommend this "expansion" if you want long time fun.

  About the map first, there are really complex and impressively interesting maps, with a lot of unusual addons and they are given as free mods. The feature of "production" is becoming common lately. Now, we are given a vanilla map for 20 euros... It doesn't make sense. Other than that, I have not been in Latin America, I believe the map resembles Cuba telling about the architecture and the cars around, so I cannot tell if that pink-red ground is realistic or not, but it definitely makes a boring scenery to the eye. It is sometimes difficult to see the fields boundaries from a small distance. A marvelous house is given and you can enter and roam inside, open and close the doors etc. This is good, although I couldn't turn the lights on. Anyway, this gives the sense of home and a home-farm but although the cows are nearby, sheep and pigs are far away and this contradicts the "home" feeling. Last but not least, placeables... If you want to add placeables to make the map rich in what you can do, you will have a hard time. I tried to add a milk sell point in the city and was impossible. All inhabitant areas, harbors and the bga factory do not allow palceables. If you want to place a milk trigger (as I tried) or a market place you have to place it in a very unnatural area, outside the city or where people live. Most of the existing buildings seem to occupy a huge area. The new machinery is good if you want to deal with sugarcane, otherwise it is only a couple of tractors offered, vanilla style again, without IC or doors/windows to open. All-in-all, do not spend your money unless you are from Latin America and such a map is what you were looking for to play your favorite game in a common scenery.
