  Such a buggy mess. I understand all the nerdy stuff like following the speed limit and avoiding stupid brake checks but this DLC literally does not work. Esocrt vehicles just stop on the middle of the road and i have to cancel the job after all that time i spent going 60 KM/H. Don't buy this stupid DLC.

  Now this, THIS is trucking! You thought Heavy Cargo was challenging? Well, get a LOAD of these babies! HUGE tanks, containers, oversized tires, gigantic pieces of machinery, an entire BOAT! Half a friggin BRIDGE? WHAT?! Things, that are obviously never meant to be transported on open road... but now someone has to do it! Do you have what it takes to pull off a job like this? First of all, hands down this is the best DLC for ETS2 yet! Not only does it add 11 new cargo jobs, but changes the whole gameplay entirely! No, really, these things are MASSIVE! Super long, super wide and super heavy! So big, in fact, that they require an elaborate operation to transport, involving police road blocks, detours, support vehicles and an army of personnel. First of all, you'll need a beefy truck and even beefier nerves! Attaching one of these things to your rig is an undertaking in itself (which you get to watch in the nifty new intro videos you get for each of these jobs). From then on, you'll have to coordinate with the support vans in the front and back. Your route is set, no deviations allowed, not even for fuel, a snooze or even a peepee! (Luckily, your truck is refueled and your sleep meter is reset when starting a special job.) Such unusual sights also draw crowds, so expect clumps of onlookers and media crews watching your every move! Feel nervous yet? You'll have to follow the plan every step of the way, change lanes when you're told, turn, slow down, etc. And don't you dare even scratch the paint! This time, you'll have to use the ENTIRE road. Shoulders, sidewalks, oncoming lanes, etc. Did I mention these loads are GINOURMOUS? You thought cornering with Heavy Cargo was a chore? Well, buckle up, Buttercup, because you'll sweat bullets trying to squeeze one of these goliaths through a normal on/off-ramp or intersection. You'll wish you were still hauling peas and toilet seats! City streets never felt so chokingly narrow! On the bright side, you won't have to deal with much traffic, since every intersection and choke point will be closed off for you, your support vans will help you change lanes, and you don't have to obey traffic lights either. This won't make that turn any easier, but, you know, count your blessings. Special Transport is without doubt the most fun and most challenging DLC In ETS2 to date. Pulling off one of these jobs without a hitch is the greatest feeling ever. After this, going back to hauling frozen carrots and plant pots feels like a sign of weakness. Definitely a must buy for every trucker tired of the boring, normal cargo! And a big THANK YOU for SCS Software for still releasing such awesome content for such an aging game! Well done, SCS, well friggin done!

  This is the best dlc for ets 2 that SCS has released so far! Its nice to see that there are actual escort vehicles and how they block traffic and escort you. The cargo options are also very interesting and you get 11 to choose from. But a fair warning your going to need more advance driving skills especially while driving on the smaller roads, since this dlc is the most challenging yet to ever be made for a truck sim. I recommend it 100% for the price and if you want a bigger and harder challenge. Thank you so much SCS! :D

  IN GENERAL This is NO ordinary DLC like any other previous DLC of this game. This is a "breakthrough", a first time in the history of video games. This DLC breaths a new life to the old ETS2 and gives us a hint of what more to come in the bright and long future of ETS2. A sign telling us that we don't need ETS3, because ETS2 is not going to die, it will keep evolving with new technologies. I believe ETS2 will continue to grow along side her sister ATS for at least a decade or beyond. MY FIRST IMPRESSION Once again SCS has exceeded my expectation. The new AI escort system is very well done. This is the first time i ever felt challenging and the sense of danger at the same time while driving, because ? I got a cargo that is 6 (six) meters wide that covers 1.5 lanes on the road. There is less trouble on the 3 - 4 lane roads. But mind you, when it comes to a 2 lane road that's when you start to worry about everything from traffic signs, guard rails, incoming vehicles, tight exits and every thing along the side of the road, things that you never gave a sh*t before, now they matter. This is no place for "Fast & Furious" drivers, you need to go slow and always keep an eye on both sides of the mirrors or you will deffinitely hit something. WHAT THE DLC DOES WELL - Very challenging deliveries where you need to drive very very carefully. It's almost like a new game within the old game. - Very good AI escorts and road blocks to support you. - The feeling of being important and cooperative. Now the AI actually work with you side by side !! WHAT THIS DLC COULD BE BETTER - It should have included a special paint-job. MY VERDICT: Buy it if: You are looking for a new challenge, difficult deliveries that requires your full attention, no rooms for recklessness. Want to feel important where the AI now actually work with you side by side. Do not buy it if: You hate slow driving, always drive very fast, don't care for traffic rules, enjoy your reckless driving like in MP. Then this DLC has no use for you.

  LED Beacons? Police support? Pilot car escort? Could it be better than this? How much more is there to ask for. This is a really good DLC. And for only 5 euro I think this is really well done, new AI behaviors I have never seen in ETS2 before, the Pilot cars will warn and push the opposite way of traffic to the side to give your special cargo some space. Lane changes is also very realistic, the back Pilot car will change lane to block the traffic behind, then the front Pilot car will change lane and then it is safe for the Player to do so aswell. 10/10.

  Well, this DLC is rather OK than great, but still worth its money. Lets start with the downsides first: - While the real heavy and big cargo deserves a special transport, like the heat exchanger, other cargo like the huge tires or the excavator bucket are completely pointless. The tires are not even that big and no cargo company on earth would ever transport an excavator bucket like it's done in this DLC. This just feels like "Come on we need a few more missions, lets dream up something" - The escort vehicle in front of you sometimes does behave quite strange. When you start a mission, a big screen tells you that a transport like this doesn't stop for anything - not even red lights. So you drive around, the escort vehicle doesn't care about red lights, it even changes half onto the oncoming lane to force the oncoming traffic away from you, in other words it breaks all traffic rules to make sure the cargo is safe, BUT on an open, long straight with no other cars around it suddenly slows down to round about 45 km/h because there is a speed-limit. I mean, really? This convoy is only doing 60 km/h at max anyway - Everything the support vehicle does will be indicated (changing lane soon, is speeding up to warn others, ...) - the only thing which you won't be told before it happens is when the support vehicle slows down (which is quite important sometimes) - Sometimes your cargo does get damaged for no obvious reason - Despite all the police and escort vehicles, occasionally you will find yourself in a situation where some traffic will block you in a way that you can't move on or back. The only option which is left then, is to very carefully "hit" one of the escort vehilces which will cause a mission restart from the last waypoint - Rarely (luckily) you will find yourself in a situation where the route you have to follow doesn't fit the cargo you're delivering. Then you're left with two options - trying to use all the power of your truck to force yourself into possition, which is time-consuming and sometimes doesn't work or you have to abort the mission So why should you buy this, despite those drawbacks? + If you play ETS2 in singleplayer mode, the artificial intelligence of the escort vehicles will add another dimension to this game. Special Transports do feel more "interactive" than normal transports and the way how the escort and police vehicles clear the way for you, really give the impression that your delivery is important + Even though the routes are rather short, you will need some skills to finish the mission. A corner you would normally have taken with some speed, so you don't have to speed up that much again, will now become an obstacle you want to pass quite carefully and slowly + Most of all time your way is cleared quite well, so you can set cruise control to 60 km/h and just focus on the size of your cargo instead of obeying traffic and deadlines, which is a somehow refreshing way of playing ETS2 between normal transports, especially if you deliver a lot of scheduled freight
