  So I'm former foster youth and I have had several periods of homlessness over my lifetime. I don't know what it is about this game but I love it. Maybe its helping me work through trauma, maybe I like the idea that I'm helping someone (albeit a virtual someone) get out of the position I was in, Idk. Point is this is a solid game full of real life experiences. 10/10 would recommend.

  With this game you realize how cruel life can be. The game was really challenging but added realism to the game. May God help all those in need. I am seriously impressed. Time is not important to me in this game. Because in five minutes you'll understand.

  What a great little game this is. You get a real sens eof wanting to actually get somewhere in life. So, you busk, you study, you get the bu to work, you go in the local shops and you beg on the streets. That's only a broad outline. In between there's the thrill - and sadness - scratching a lotto card, getting arrested, washing in a drinking fountain, staying in a doss house and being ignored and abused by total strangers. This game is a real 'Change' from the norm. Buy it!

  Dear developers of Change, Your game is incredible, but too short. I was able to beat the game on my first try by searching for a guitar in stores instead of buying food and becoming a street performer, drinking whenever I was sad, smoking when not drinking, and eventually ignoring my addictions and stock piling on food. There's also a bug where you can sleep on benches for a couple of seconds, hop off, and get about $0.20. I'd love to see you character advancing out of poverty entirely. Maybe you could unlock a second mode where you live in a lowly neighborhood having to protect your items that you've recently gained? It would also be neat to have multiple buildings and more common bus stops. Traveling is a bit of a pain, even when you have the bus pass and often it's easier to run until you find a proper spot to settle down in, then stop altogether and farm that location. My final suggestion is to add a skill tree to the game. A game that's similar to yours that I loved was Punch Club. It had a skill tree that allowed you to evolve your character to match what you wanted to succeed in. It would be nice to choose what you wanted your character to do instead of relying on rng to change your character instead. Maybe the longer you survived, the more experienced you would be, or if you hit certain thresholds in your homeless relations bar, you could learn from the other homeless people? Overall, the game was a blast learning how to make money and watching my character rise from the depths, but I feel like the game is too happiness based and doesn't have enough content (at least yet). I hope when I come back to this game, it'll have multiple stages, more buildings, and more interactiveness in growing your character.

  Hiya Devs. I've been homeless on multiple occasions from periods lasting a few weeks, to a max of 8 months, including surviving through 2 winters. (I'm not any longer, currently.) I've played the game a number of times so far, and while I enjoy the premise, and the gameplay, I find the biggest challenge is the lack of a minimap. Even while not having a place to live, I still maintained having a phone for social media (because having someone to talk to, even strangers online, is good for staying out of your own head), keeping in contact with relatives, and a map program specifically for surviving in new areas where I didn't know what options were around me. Most of the homeless I've known over the years, also keep a phone for those same reasons. For those of us who earnestly struggle to get back on our feet, and back to a place of success however we measure it, having the ability to plan based on knowing what shops are in our surroundings is pretty necessary. Just my two cents.

  Great game. I think if kids we're to play this game at schools the world would be a better place. I walked past homeless man today, sleeping under a bridge. Gathered some can food i had stacked at home and a few warm sweaters and socks for him. Never seen anyones eyes fill with tears of joy as his did when i handed everything to him. probably that idea wouldn't have even crossed my mind if i hadn't play this game.

  In addition to raising awareness to homelessness in this "walk a mile in a mans shoes" type of way the developers take it a step further by donating to help the homeless. As a previous homeless Vet I appriciate their efforts and thank them for it. Thank you Delve Interactive!!!

  So I see some reviews on this game that are negative. The things they want to gripe about in this EARLY ACCESS game pertain to it being a 2d scroller with pixelart that 'doesn't receive enough updates', or people who find it 'depressing'. I want to address those right here, right now. 2d Scroller/pixel: Oh, you don't like those? Well, it shows that that's exactly what it is right there in the video and screenshots of the game. If you can see ahead of time that it's not the kind of game you like because you think pixelart is outdated, then you shouldn't buy it, and you shouldn't be in the reviews to gripe. You're doing nothing but pointing out your own lack of observation before you bought a product. Patches/Updates: Since this game launched, there's been over 225 updates/patches. In less than a year. The game was already playable and enjoyable in November, and since then, Delve has added far more features and stability to this game, really put passion into it. Yet somehow, that's one of the reviews' complaints on this game. Depressing: What, you thought being homeless was happy-go-lucky? I've been out there before. It's no joyride. The game is supposed to make you feel helpless and anxious, simulate the struggle of it. It's supposed to make you aware. If that's one of your chief complaints about a game to raise awareness of the homeless, then you must live a pretty privileged life. I want to point out that I don't really do game reviews. I don't care to throw my voice in. But this little indie developer has earned enough of my loyalty for me to speak up. Delve responded to me in less than an hour about a bug that was only effecting maybe three, four people who actually reported it. In six hours, they had a patch out to fix it. If that's not dedication, I do not know what is. Furthermore, I see all the time where they're taking in suggestions from the community on how to improve the game. They're active with their player base. That's beautiful, alright? How often do you actually get to see that with games/game developers anymore? This game is in Early Access. Don't screw it up for a good indie developer and leave a bad review just because you're unobservant.
