Excessively difficult and boring after the first few levels. Not recommended !!

This is the longest game that I've played from Chilla's Art so far, being around 5 hours in length. The length of my review shall reflect this. The game starts off with an unnerving scene and after that sets up the narrative for the rest of the game. Sadly, the game seems to lose its own narrative while experimenting with different ideas of what the game could be. The more you play the game, the more you may realize this is a disjointed exercise in frustration. The graphics are very nice, in fact so nice the game feels more like a tech demo than anything. The level settings are bland and generic. The brown doors, gray crates with red ribbons and dimly lit abandoned rooms will become your friend. There's one level that could've taken its inspiration from Resident Evil, except that it's completely devoid of any enemies. Another level could've taken inspiration from Outlast, chase scene and all. One level reminds me of the Slenderman game. The thing is, if you take different concepts ideas from more or less modern yet classic horror titles and insert them all into one game, it doesn't mean that game will be automatically good. This game has a lot of puzzles. But the pacing is all over the place. At one point, you're going through a level with only one objective. That's nice and all. but after that, the game throws you into a huge level with more than one floors. You try to solve on puzzle, and you only come across yet another one. I counted to having almost 10 puzzles at once that needed to be solved. That's way too much. There's also clunky game mechanics that get into the way of things. At one point I found an item. "Is this the answer to that one puzzle?" I thought. I click on the item and click on the puzzle, the game does its magic and the puzzle is solved, giving me another item. "Hmm, this must be a solution to that other puzzle!". So I go to the other puzzle, click on the item, click on the puzzle... Nothing happens. "Oh, I guess this wasn't the solution then.". Turns out, it was, but for some reason you had to hold down the mouse button this time instead of just clicking it. Why? Who knows. What I will say in the end is this: If you want an intense indie horrror game with puzzle elements that's narratively driven, you should look elsewhere (Gray Dawn for example could be a good option). BUT if you want an indie horror game that experiments with different well-known design ideas, like puzzles with moon logic, chase sequences and hide and seek games with the enemies while trying to complete an objective, you MIGHT end up liking this game. It's not the worst title from Chilla's Art (that would be Welcome Back Daddy), but sadly it's not a very good one either. And with its pricing you could get several way better games from them.

I am so glad I got this game on sale and only paid $1.50 for it because it is not worth any more than that. This is a strange boring janky low-budget indie horror game with major bugs such as codes not working and having to restart the level in order to get another randomly generated code that might work. The graphics are all over the place with crushed blacks in some areas and poor lighting in others with too much light washing out certain sections. There are also some dark areas that have tiny flickering white dots everywhere. There are also lots of screen flickering and frame rate drops, especially when you are caught by the poorly animated enemy. This game also has too many tediously dull puzzles, your character moves and crouches too slowly, and moving items and opening doors is very janky. You also cannot remap controls or manually save the game, checkpoints are too far away, and you are also forced to play in sections with an extremely heavy and ugly vhs grainy filter for the longest time. In addition, this awful game takes up about 22 GB of hard drive space. I cannot recommend this game at all.

SPOILERS AHEAD The first couple of chapters are okay, the last one is really unclear and I had to search a tutorial for it. It's really frustrating as you traverse a large area of space and look around to find out what to do but the run speed is reallly realllllly slow. Additionally, there's a puzzle in the 3rd chapter with the black smoke that was really annoying, the concept was easy just get the ladder thing to the other side of the room but grabbing/pushing objects in the game is pretty annoying you usually have to try do it from specific angles or move your mouse across like your whole desk to get it. Also in a puzzle in chapter 3 when you pick up the keypad number thing it just appears as a dot in your inventory which is a bug. There are a lot of general bugs with movement, items, lighting (VERY) and more. Even in the last chapter 3 puzzle the enemy can only climb up one set of stairs. Also the hospital scene is too long, don't make every flippin door openable if there's nothing there. And the story barley relates to the main objective. We're supposed to find our baby but we don't even see him once after he gets stolen from us at the beginning. Basically nothing we do relates to the baby.

The game was too amateurish from top to bottom, the story was super weird but... Blame Him was oddly fun experience for me. It has approximately 4-5 hours gameplay time and you can give it a try with a good discount.

As someone who is an absolute lover of all things horror and is willing to try any horror game be it indie or AAA..this is the first time I have closed a game completely and applied for a refund. I played the demo many months ago and although my friend was suspicious of how good or not it may be, I was willing to give it a try the day it came out. I understand that this game WAS in fact, made by two people- however that is no excuse to have your game be absolutely unplayable. Please do not release a game that is so full of bugs and issues and then price it so high. **If you are a streamer and looking to play this with your audience, I highly suggest either waiting a few months for them to work out the kinks, or looking elsewhere entirely. This didn't run well even on the lowest settings and with vsync turned on. By the point in the game where you reach outside- it's impossible to stream smoothly.** Now regarding the game itself- it was slow, mindless, and boring. It had the most typical fetch quests with little glimmers of good horror content. There were moments where I wanted to believe it would get better only to be shoved with more "find xyz" to further yourself in the game. It was silent, little to no atmosphere, and almost put me to sleep. I wanted to believe in the two people who worked hard to put out a game for us all to enjoy, but unfortunately not only was this not a very good game, but it's absolutely not worth the price.

The time that I have played, I must say that I love the game. Please, let's be, honest, they are 2 people, with few resources and have made a splendid game. The little time that they launched the game and we have one update, I mean that they really care about their work. In addition, it more than meets the goal of a horror game. My congratulations, guys.

This game is literally the rock bottom of horror games. Such a disappointment. This game is lacking in many important aspects that makes a horror game great. Even as a starter or a stepping stone for developers they have horribly failed to produce a game that would cater to what you would call horror. This game is literally, a failure. It is buggy, The sound effects sucks. The ambience, The lighting, The mechanics, and even the monster models aren't scary. I don't even know how they had the guts to sell this game for a price. This game should be free. You couldn't even progress to the start of chapter 3 of the game because the lamp disappeared suddenly, It took me almost 30 minutes to figure out it was a bug. I thought it was part of the game but no, it was a technical difficulty. I hope you can take back my time and my money from this wasted, sorry looking, disappointment of a product you have made. This game itself is a horror. Congratulations in creating a masterpiece of garbage.

I ended up streaming this game, and oh boy. I sat through it, hoping for some, ANY resolution to WHY any of this was happening, and I got nothing. There was one section that almost made me quit the game.
In Act 3? I believe? maybe Act 4, There is a section where you must move lifts in order to make a bridge, but no no, you must traverse a maze that has black fog in it, that severely limits your vision and kills you if you sit in it for too long, all while a mannequin thing stalks you in the maze. It's annoying waiting game of climbing stairs, waiting for the mannequin to go to the other side of the maze, move the lift 2 feet, then run up some stairs again to prevent yourself from dying.
It was annoying, unfun, and if I wasn't streaming I would've quit the game right then and there. There is a knock off Slenderman type area right at the end and then... That's it. No resolution to why anything was happening, it wasn't even a satisfying ending. That's not even mentioning the amount of glitches that can force you to restart a stage, or redo puzzles. I thought it could be saved by at least SOME story, or resolution or ANYthing, but I got nothing.
