  It may be a little early in my playtime, but this game is a lot of fun. The drinks are fun to make (and look good with actual recipes); the bars feel different; the clients are interesting to speak to (and reading how they review me after our interactions is pretty interesting as well); the apartment is a nice little time sink (with some customization options and a lot of interactions); and I am constantly chasing Ninja (our faithful companion) down to see what is going on there. Plus, you can always go into sandbox or arcade mode if the story just is not your thing. Definitely recommend.

  I highly recommend this game, although as the game dev I would make a couple steps of service changes. As someone who works as a bartender in New York City and I love my job. I would make it so that with every drink made you would have to place down a napkin in front of your customer every time. Based on greeting time is how you are also rated as a bartender. Also I don’t see mojitos in here which are a basic drink. More margaritas cosmopolitans martinis dry vs sweet vs dirty at the start because any dive bar has a lot of beer sold and margaritas mojitos old fashioneds martinis dry sweet dirty ofc you can’t forget gin tonic vodka tonic rum Coca Cola. Then go onto the sea breezes the hurricanes the more difficult recipes to remember. The difference in shaking a martini vs stirring and cool side notes. A book I would recommend that would help you learn some more and have some cool hints and tips is meehans bartender Manual. And definitely change the system in which a customer only comes when you look away. That is also problematic. I think when it’s more optimized also add the cleaning of the equipment after one drink made.

  Bartender IRL here. Pretty decent game, glad I got the game early and can offer suggestions. TL;DR - 7.5/10: Generally good, room for development, got promise. Try not look too deep into it if you're a bartender, or you'll find yourself complaining about it on steam. - Might just be me, but I find the dialogue a bit dry, having to click through a lot of text is a bit annoying, also might be better if you could choose how to reply (Just my opinion) Edit: Suggestions have been implemented and removed from my review, +10 points for a responsive dev team

  Great game, however I ran right into a bug in the arcade. If you're pouring a drink and the lvl stops the drink is sstuck in your hand. You're unable to remove it or talk to customers and etc. I tried restarting game and everything however it did not fix.

  As a cocktail enthusiast, I was really looking forward to this game. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it in its current state. First, the story mode. It is quite short (took me 3 hours to finish, without skipping any dialog). Most of the environments are completely pointless. The bars and characters are just reskins. Your home looks nice and the cat is cute but you cannot do anything except solve some (pretty vague) quiz questions to get a 10 dollar bonus. Oh, and all you can do with money in this game is buy clothes and wall paint. Unlike in Metro Sim Hustle, you have no daily life and no needs. You sleep during the day, get up at night, go to the bar and mix drinks, then you come back home and sleep. Heck, you do not even get dialog options-all you do is listen to your own character talk like in a visual novel. With no choices. Is bartending not about interacting with customers as much as serving drinks? There are attempts to spice things up (like checking IDs of young patrons, getting threatened by a wannabe mafioso etc.) but these are one-time affairs that lead to nothing. As a result the game gets repetitive and boring even during the short story mode. It is extremely formulaic, you tend the bar for three days and get promoted, rinse and repeat until there is no more bars to advance to and the credits roll. Meh. Second, the actual gameplay. The drinks are problematic to say the least. There are simply not enough of them. Many classic cocktails are either plain missing (Mojito, Pina Colada and LIT immediately come to mind) or their recipes are mind numbingly inaccurate (e.g. I sincerely hope that building an AMF in the glass without shaking or stirring is an oversight). Martinis are made with vodka and shaken by default, which IRL would need to be specially requested (gee thanks 007). Also, the "dry" martini recipe is that of a classic martini! There are no layered drinks or visual effects (for example, you simply mix the grenadine into the Tequila Sunrise). Overproof rum for igniting cocktails is also put into the shaker instead of floating it on top (the result would be very unlikely to have enough ABV to ignite, mixing with low ABV liqueurs and getting diluted by the ice in the shaker). To make matters worse, customers never make any special requests and they do not get drunk or belligerent so every drink you make is the same and every day manages to be somehow uneventful. I also dislike the fact that bottles get arbitrarily rearranged between shifts. If we had licensed names and bottles in the game this would be fine, but as it stands it is already hard enough to distinguish between a bottle of dark rum and a bottle of whiskey so you are likely to quickly become dependent on the bottle highlighting feature. All in all, this game is a great idea with some merits, but the execution is as bland as its dry martini recipe. I do hope that more features are added later because this game has great potential if it focuses more on exploring the broader life of a bartender and giving the player more freedom.

  If you like relaxing, simulator games this game is one you should definitely check out. It is very interactive, and it is fun to learn all the cocktails and mingle with the bar patrons. My only complaints are that there really aren't many things to purchase with the money you earn (only a few clothing and wallpaper options that don't cost very much) so there aren't really incentives to get promotions. I like the interactions with guests, but the extended dialogue can get tedious so having some patrons who only order without long stories would be a nice addition to mix it up. For only being released three days ago i am very impressed, and look forward to seeing what else is in store for Bartender Hustle!

  One of my all time favourite games is an ancient bartending game called Happy Hour. Nothing has scratched the itch since. This game does! I think it’s fantastic and I am really enjoying it. Graphics are great. Controls are easy. Love the characters and the story. 10/10 from me

  An average effort with a lot of problems at the very core. Graphically the game is decent, but it fails where it needed to succeed at its core gameplay. Main issues: 1) Liquid doesn't behave like liquid... I mean, have you ever seen liquid reverse course back into the bottle or can if you don't hold a click long enough? Only in this game 🤣 There's absolutely no 'feel' that the liquid feels like liquid at all, it may be a small nitpick but IMO for a game that's all about POURING LIQUID this is pretty important. 2) The fact you have to put the glass down to do anything. Refer to real life... Beer on tap isn't filled by just putting a glass under the tap. You HOLD the glass at an angle... and the angle matters. IMO this is another huge issue that makes the game feel extremely stiff and stilted... There is no feel of 'picking up a bottle' or anything. I'm not expecting VR Bartender tier of freedom, but you should be able to pick up a bottle and freely move it about, then tilt at your chosen angle and actually POUR LIQUID that feels like its being poured. The way the game handles all this, you could remove all the visual elements and it wouldn't matter since its all just about holding a button until the number is correct. This is the worst part. Even a freaking (((2D game))), the Red Strings Club, where bartending is a side event, lets you pick up a bottle, freely move it around, and tilt at an angle. If it can be done in frigging 2D there's absolutely no excuse here except for dev incompetence or inability. 3) Patrons don't leave/arrive until the camera is moved off them. The game relies too heavily on you moving the camera away for the next person to load. This is beyond amateurish. The locales are beautifully done, why is it so hard to have people walk in and out the door?... People don't just magically POOF APPEAR at a bar... 4) Being able to pick stuff up from literally 2 or so meters away... Anyone can tell your player model is literally just standing still with arms by the side. The devs couldn't be bothered to implement the 'arms holding the implements' coz its too much work... but this is yet another massive immersion breaker. To sum up, the 'core' of the game is there and if all you really wanted out of this is to memorize a bunch of recipes for IRL use or what not, this game will suffice. However you may as well just go look up cocktail recipes online. The game has absolutely ZERO semblance of what it's like to actually properly MIX a drink nor the feel of actually doing any sort of mixing. You could completely remove all graphics, make this a text game and it'd still do the same thing coz all you're doing is clicking and holding a button until numbers reach what they're supposed to be, in order. I let all this go during the demo, but since we're now past full release its time to call a spade a spade and spit out some harsh truth. This is at best 4/10 as a GAME right now and sadly unless everything gets an overhaul I don't see it improving, which is sad.

  Bartender Hustle looks like a free itch io game, it is not worth the $20 price tag. I happened to get the game on sale for $15 and even then, I feel ripped off and intend to ask for a refund. The characters all look alike, simply recoloured models. No one is likeable in this game, all of their personalities suck. Especially Giga Chad that demanded a triple scooped protein shake and yelled at me for not having it. The owner of the bar is incompetent and hired me in just a bra and panties. Making drinks is kind of fun for a bit, but get this whenever the price tag drops below 50%.
