  I just officially purchased the game, but I was active during the play test and my hours didn't transfer. Milo (solo dev) has done an incredible job creating an amazing blend of Mount and Blade, Oblivion, and Zelda all into one beautifully fun and exciting game. He is VERY active on all his socials and even during the play test, he was providing daily (sometimes twice a day) updates to the game. Because it's in early access, it does contain bugs, but with how active Milo has been, I am confident they will all be resolved by release. I cannot recommend this game enough to people who are fans of sandbox games and RPG's. 10/10.

  letdown. not open world. game is designed as an open-area explorer. gameplay is binary, questionable design choices all around. its a shame ive been looking forward to this game for several years, unless something major changes i can not recommend this game

  VEEERY early first impressions before I run off to work today are it absolutely feels like a passion project with seemingly a neat engine and physics to it that make my initial impression of it positive. There's definitely already a fair amount of jank with the options and controls as a lot of keybinds are not shown in the options, or don't actually change when you change them, or conflict with other keybinds you didn't know exist until trying it out as they're not listed. Then something that always annoys me is the inability to select dialogue options with numbers and having to manually click them is awkward to me. As well as not being able to close a lot of menus with escape or other keybinds and having to manual click them is just not very user friendly. I'm also not sure the game wants to stick with the right resolution as the in game felt more blurry than it should be at 1440p fullscreen with dynamic resolution disabled and on epic settings. Either way these things don't immediately make or break it for me and despite barely diving into it the passion from the developer is oozing in the intro and I like the game's engine a lot so I wanted to get a positive review out there to encourage other's to try it and give the developer more support as I want to see what they'll do with this project. Will update this after I sink more time into it tonight and tomorrow.

  I'm split on this game. I had an entire rant explaining how I found the game to try too hard to be too much, but that's unnecessary. I keep sending the refund request, then cancelling said request. This game is not good. and yet, I keep wanting to play it.

  The Good

  The combat for this game is AMAZING. It's incredibly fluid, and the skills are very thought out. Spells are incredibly creative too, very enjoyable. The skill tree is generic, but it doesn't need to be anything else. It does its job perfectly. The weapons are overall rather simple, but that's a good thing. Even though this section is small, it, somehow, (AND I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, I KEEP GOING BACK TO THE GAME TO PLAY BECAUSE OF THIS) is completely balanced with the bad. The combat is so enjoyable that it outweighs all this:

  The Bad

  The Bloodline is many things. There's city building, crafting, physics, general prop building, quests, combat, a large ability tree, a large map, a developed parkour system, grappling hooks, massive list of skills to train, and more. This is not an upside. The game tries to be too much, and it fails with this. Many parts are fleshed out, like the combat, but it just makes others worse than they should be. From the start, you will notice that the stamina bar is impressively low. It's bearable. I'll move on from this. Building does not fit in this game. The amount of effort required to make such an in-depth building mechanic very clearly made other aspects of the game significantly worse. As an example, this game is not truly open world. The "open world" functions as a map with location dots. If it was literally a map, it would be no different. The game tries to make you think it is open world by making you walk across the map, though. This is clearly done due to time limitations caused by the over complications of other aspects. The world should not have been a side project, building should've. I've seen some people saying this is good, but a fake open world is never a positive. It only brings the game down. I really wish this section didn't have to be as large as it is.

  Conclusion

  I believe that the developer needs to cut off the excess content. A good purge is what this game needs to thrive, and the developer has instead opted to patch it up with globs of heavily flawed cutbacks. If they get rid of all the unnecessary (and rather noncontributing) content, I would feel happy to change this to a positive rating. Developer, your game does not need to be gigantic. If you try to make it that big, it will only fall over. Please, focus on polish, rather than content.

  This game isn't open world. It's heavily instanced in to small play areas linked together by an overworld map. It doesn't say anything about that in the "About this game" section of the Steam store page. And for that reason, I'm out Also, beware of all the thumbs up reviews with less than 1 hour played. If it's so good, why haven't the played the game longer than an hour? BEEP BOP BOOP.

  It is early access, and it shows... BUT this game already has me charmed. Cute puzzles, Valheim/Runescape skill leveling, lots of content from what I can see and a lot more planned. It definitely has early access grittiness to it, but ultimately I think this game will turn out amazing once cooked a bit more. Another comparison I'd offer is that it feels like a love-child of Skyrim/Breath of the Wild.

  Feels like they just took whatever free assests off the unity store they could. For what it is it runs like hot ass. Not open world like they said. Not coop like they said. Nothing even to do except kill a few things with different weapon and some cool magic besides that its empty as can be.

  Jumped from the balcony, kissed the ground and blood all over the place.... ... and my ragdolling level increased to 2.... 10 out of 10 :D !

  Some Framedrops, 1-2 small bugs but the gameplay is worth it (i know ist EA^^) It is the Game where you can do whatever you want and you can feel that there is much more potenzial but right now it is already pretty nice. 20€ 10/10 must have if you like the idea of freely exploreable semi-open world setting that feels like a Skyrim with the Mount and Blade map and a little diffrent ragdoll physics^^. I only played an hour but this game will chew through my free time like nothing.
