  A pretty decent arcade game that I'd played before. I was happy to see it and other Data East games on Steam. What I don't like is that the pixel graphics are blurry instead of looking like the original and I don't see an option to turn off the filter that does this as I've seen in other games. Adding this option would greatly improve my opinion. I do wish the Data East games had been part of one whole game where you could choose the machine from a lobby. The price is okay individually (on sale that is...) but I'd rather have them bulked together kind of like the Sega Megadrive/Genesis Classics. 2.5/5 Stars

Originally released in 1990, it has since made its way to newer platforms such as steam or nintendo.   Port works fine, but the video options are trash. You get TWO OPTIONS. CRT Shader or none in which the later looks blurred due to bilinear filtering. Would it have been that hard to give us the option of raw pixels? Refunded.

  I don't understand why this game is getting so many good reviews. Its a mediocre port of a bad game. The later areas in the game throws so many monsters at you that the frame rate slows to a crawl. A lot of the bosses are so unfair that you are better off loading credits and throwing yourself at them than actually trying to memorize boss patterns. The soundtrack gets a little annoying. And even though there are 4 characters, the wizard is so much better than the other 3 that they almost feel like a joke. Also, even if you are using controller, you will need the keyboard to continue and enter credits. Unless you have nostalgia for this, you are going to have a bad time.

  Very simple but fun beat 'em up from Data East. The last level of the game has a good bit of slow down due to the amount of enemies on screen.

  The game itself is fine. It's an interesting hybrid of a beat-em-up and Gauntlet. I'm having fun with it. My main problem, at least at the moment, is that the game refuses to acknowledge my controller. All of the other Retro Classix games have no problem with it. So I'm essentially forced to either use the keyboard or use the controller in the weird half-assed state that the game allows. This means I essentially am using the controller to play, but the keyboard to continue and access the menu. I recommend the game, but I'd really like it if the devs could determine why the game won't accept controllers. I can't believe it's just me.

  I'd say this is the arcade version of Diablo, but this came first. So Diablo is the ARPG version of this. Although, it's basically an ARPG without all the xp and tech trees skills. I highly recommend it!
