  Fun game. Robbers play like PayDay 2 and cops play like Amongus. The team/objective elements are kind of like CSGO and the class based system is kind of like TF2. The game is easy to learn and rounds are quick and the gameplay generally has a good pace. The community is small but friendly. I bought the 2 pack for ~$12 and have gotten good gameplay hours out of PH2 (PH1 has no online players so I haven't really tried it much). I would recommend the game at this price point. Works well under Steam Proton for Linux, have not tried native however.

  Don't be put off by the fact that this is an indie title with simplistic art style from a small developer. Perfect Heist 2 is a hidden gem carried by great execution, excellent performance and many great design choices that went into it. Contrary to what you might think from the bank robbery theme, Perfect Heist 2 is not a guns-blazing-cops-vs-robbers team based shooter but rather a refreshing take on a team and class-based social deception game. The gameplay works very well for uncoordinated strangers but also scales well into advanced teamwork. While the game does have voice chat support, it's optional and no necessary to use (and in fact I never heard anyone on voice comms it in public matches, most people just use the chat). What makes Perfect Heist 2 so special is the fact that the maps are full of NPCs walking around, going about their day. Your task is to blend in, use all kinds of distractions to have the cops chase around while the robbers slowly plunder the bank. With default server settings teams are at more robbers vs fewer cops. For this reason robbers will only have one life each for the round, while cops get to respawn a limited number of times - unless they shoot a civilian, in which case they get suspended (means die for good for the round). As a result the robbers have a hard time winning open shootouts and therefore rely on stealth, deception and backstabbery by blending into the crowd of NPCs that populate the map. Some of these NPCs are citizens, others are bank employees. These NPC types have areas assigned in where they are allowed to walk around. A citizen will not walk into the employee-only area and employees will not walk into the public area. To work around this you have to steal a disguise by knocking out a NPC and taking their clothing, in similar fashion to the Hitman series of games. Combined with walking around to act like an NPC and the fact that cops are not allowed to gun down innocents this makes for a very enjoyable social deception aspect. I had a few moments in which I got nearly caught, walked around a corner, turned 180° and walked right back at someone who then wasn't sure if it's me or an NPC, since they are all over the place. The real charm lies in the fun interactibles on maps. The goal is to steal money and carry it to a van. Carried money spawns a visible backpack on your back with money trailing out behind you. This means you either run for your life to drop off the money - or you try to sneak it out creatively. Money comes from various sources. Some of it can be found as jewelry in glass-covered cabinets (smashing glass makes a noise, unless you have a class that can do it silently), some of it can be gained by hacking ATMs (which then show a red "HACKED" label and quietly drop a bundle of cash you can pick up or leave on the floor for a later attempt at picking it up), some of it comes from vaults (which you either have to blow open, drill your way into or hack your way into), some it comes from minor pickups like cash bundles or "secret files" you can find around the bank and the rest can be obtained through various class-related mechanics (such as hacking computers to install crypto miners, which give you passive income over time, or putting down a literal money printer hidden in a corner and letting it slowly print out cash you can collect later.). You can set fire to plants to distract cops and open fire doors, you can sneak a bomb case into the bank to blow up the vault, you can blow up walls with various placeable explosives or use a drill to quietly cut through a wall or ceiling, you can climb on the roof, or climb into vents, or break windows to toss money out to pick up outside later, you can place all kinds of gadgets and use all kinds of abilities. The amount of mayhem in and around the bank is enormous and it makes it such a joy to keep the opposing team on their toes constantly. What keeps the game fresh is the class and ability variety. You pick a class and really have to play its active skill and passive skill to your advantage. Some of these are pretty specific while others have more generic utility. Some classes can quickly climb up walls without making a sound, others can place guns or armor vests. Some can carry tiny amounts of money without spawning a visible money bag on the back, others can install protective or malicious software on computers. Some throw grenades, some shoot rockets, some use drones or bomb vehicles they can spawn, others can place walls that act like TV screens and broadcast a static image of the room behind (without showing any players, so they can about unseen). Some can obtain hidden information about the opposing team (such as class or locations), others place turrets, barbed wire or blockades. Some spawn VIP NPCs to protect (or to assassinate for rewards), others have a grappling hook. Some can set fire to block of hallways, others can set smoke or lethal gas traps. There are so many fun ideas put into classes, it creates ever changing variety and weird situations. Perfect Heist 2 is built on the Unreal Engine. As the game uses a low-poly artstyle it runs exceptionally well, even on medicore hardware. Since it's Unreal, the netcode is also excellent for a gunplay oriented game. The amount of clutch shootouts you can have, especially unexpectedly when someone suddenly pulls a gun, is insane. The game has a default FPS limit of 240 (which it easily reaches on a decent gaming CPU/GPU combo) but you can edit an .ini file to set the value to anything you want. The only downside is the fact that the game is reliant on custom server settings to make each map enjoyable. That means an inexperienced host/admin might set up awful rules about respawns, required amount of money stolen or round timers that simply do not work very well with the particular map or play count. In this case you either have to use the server voting system and hope people vote to change it - or host your own server (out of the game on your computer or by using the official dedicated server tool on a machine of your choice). The game has a map editor and Steam Workshop support, so given enough time and dedication, there will be ever more maps and content available. All in all Perfect Heist 2 is an exceptionally surprising title sold at incredibly low cost. It's one of the better stealth and deception based games with shooter elements to come out of the past few years. Cops vs robbers just works so well as a theme, you will feel right at home.

  Don't let this games graphics and advertising fool you into thinking its a budget payday or generic throw away game. It's very basically if Payday and Hitman had a baby that follows the rules of Cops and Robbers. It has honestly way too many classes with their own playstyle that are pretty well balanced with most being memes and none that are overpowered. As for bugs I haven't seen many but there are a few very annoying ones. There was one whenever I tried to join a game it would just send me back to the mainmenu. I started my own lobby though and people joined just fine. Next day it was fixed. Rules: Cops: The cops very basically need to figure out who the robbers are and kill them but this is easier said then done since the maps are full of smart NPC's that the Robbers need to blend in with. Cops win when all robbers are dead or time runs out. Robbers: As the name implies Robbers are trying to rob from whatever the map is set to. But this isn't a simple smash and grab job as the cops have much better weapons and multiple lives. So this mainly forces the robbers to blend in with the NPC's by stealing cloths that match which area they are in without getting caught. From there they either need to try and break into the vaults which usually have motion sensers, camera's, and fortified vault doors. Or steal alot of small things in the open. Either way though there's almost no sneaking out since once you pick up any money you are walking around with a suspicious bag that gives you away. Thats when you will probably have to shoot your way out and get to the getaway vehicles or hide it somewhere and wait for the right moment. Robbers win by either stealing a set amount of money or burning through all the cops's lives. NPC's: Like the name suggests these are non playable characters that exist just to be a smokescreen for the robbers but if you think you can tell the difference between a NPC and a player who's pretending to be one you are dead wrong. Unless a player is carrying a money bag, pulls out a gun, Jumps/Crouch, or is wearing the wrong outfit in the wrong area you just cant tell. Its honestly really well programmed.

  My favorite thing to do is to shoot plastic explosives to cops and explode the cops and after that i go to play perfect heist 2 which is quite a good game
