Meeple Station คุณสมบัติ

So What Is Meeple Station?

Meeple Station is an isometric pixel-art space station building and management sim that takes inspiration from games in the vein of Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld. Build a space station up from bare-bone essentials and a skeleton crew, into a bustling metropolis of activity filled with so many Meeple you'll probably forget about a few of them. You picked a great time to hop on board as we're just dropping our major Planets Update just now, which will have your Meeple expanding across the solar system. It's in an early state, but it's the foundation for a summer full of huge feature releases we've been working on and are very excited to share with you! The big recent changes we've added are also part of the bedrock of what is to come. Heee!

Meeple need things to live!

Ice can be melted and turned into Oxygen, which assuredly your Meeple will need to continue breathing. They also seem to like regular access to food! Make sure they have bathrooms near or you're going to end up with one stinky station. Use Meeple for jobs they are well suited to and house them in decent surroundings or the icy fingers of unhappiness will take hold. Just wait until you see the damage an unhappy officer can cause! Once you make your station a nice productive place to live, it's prestige will spread and draw new Meeple to the station and necessitate expansion. Expansion requires more resources, so get to mining! Meeple Station boasts a robust Z-layer system that is seemingly uncommon in many isometric and management games. The system allows up to 32 vertical floors- so stations can get quite gigantic if you so desire.

Trade!

At first, you can get things you need from traders, that you can't effectively manufacture on your own. Once you have a good operation going you can turn the tables and make quite a profit from supplying refined resources and manufactured goods to traders based on their needs. With the Planets Update, we've added the very beginnings of the Player-owned ships system, which we plan to expand on quite a bit in upcoming patches. Assign Pilots to ships and fly construction crews to build new stations. That's right! Multiple stations are new to the Planets patch as well! Now that you can travel around the solar system, you're going to be able to build multiple concurrent stations around different planets.

Fight off lazy pirates!

Pirates gonna pirate. Maybe they did bad in school and space is hard? Whatever the reason, they want your stuff. That's waaaay easier than doing work themselves. Make sure you have guard Meeple to fight them when they come. Station shields and turrets work wonders against bombers.

We have so many big things in store for the near future that we hope will floor you with their scope. It's a very exciting time over here in the dev team. We work tirelessly to try to get them in your hands as soon as humanly possible, because we're over-excited children and this is our little passion project we can't wait to share with our community. Eventually, we plan on an inter-station ship-based trading, cargo, mining, and exploration network. It's ambitious, but we really can't wait to show you what we've been tossing into the stew for the future! Seriously, we sit up at night just playing with pixel planets and little tiny shippies. It's a problem.

Speaking of community, drop into our Discord and say hello! We love to hear from you all!

Clearly unfinished. I lost an entire crew because they got stuck on a plant and couldn't step to the left one space. Pathfinding and building in general is finicky and only works when it wants to. I don't want a refund, I want the game to work - because when it does, it's fun! I wish I could recommend it to others, but you have to know the bugs and gotchas in this game and work around them, which is not great.

I would really like to make a positive review as I like a lot of elements of this game but sadly I can't recoomend it due to mayor cripling issues and bugs: 1. UI. - User unfriendly. Ex: Took me couple minutes to figure out how to turn on refining, I set the minimum number and couldn't figure out why it doesn't work. Trade UI doesn't allow manual input (at least ctrl+click does help). Build menu's items are numerous and together, yet without search. - Uninformative, it is unclear if one table is better than the other, it is unclear which meeple are unhapy with each other, primary construction resources are not visible. - Feels iconsistent. Solar map is an excuse of a map, feels like it was made for phones instead of PCs. Comms are are an oversimplified dialogue. Trade and refinery UIs are drastically different visually and functionally. - Even bugged in some places (ex: on solar map arrows are sometimes missing, arrow can be missing in trade menu). 2. Game lacks some features that are lifeblood for games of this type: like prioritizing mining or refining of certain resources. 3. Trade is extremely disbalanced and not in a fun way. It's trivial to earn credits via trade. 4. 'Meeple' are oversimplified. 5. Very slow start, nothing engaging happens besides waiting. Most of the game I spent at fastests speed and it still felt slow. A lot of people will just drop the game after half an hour. 6. Bugged start. For example I tried to generate a station when starting a new game and it complained about being our of finances on first attempt, second attempt immediately run out of power. Removing parts during station generation phase is also buggy, I somehow ended with more finances then I started with. 7. Doctors are broken. I have a doctor, medical beds (which were under medicine production research), medicines and medical cabinets, yet I haven't seen any treated wounds they just keep getting worse. 8. Guards are broken. They keep looping trough airlock, meanwhile pirates are free to kill crew. Setting a rally points sets rally point outside of the station even when aiming inside. This game has a lot of interesting elements that the likes of Space Heaven and Starmancer have nothing on, but crippling issues prevent it from being interesting and engaging.

Have only a few hours in the game and I am absolutley enjoying it (despite killing off my first set of meeples lol). If you are a fan of Rimworld or prison architect style games, you are sure to enjoy this one imo. Cant wait to see what the devs have planned for in the future.

That could be a wonderful game but it's not ready for Early Access. It has everything in the place, except the point to play. Huge amount of content but no meaning. Play to build. Build to play. There is no any events, things or a anything that motivates you to continue. Or even to start... Built first space ship. Ran it. Everyone is happy. Everyone have enough food. No one wants anything else. Why do I need to collect resources if I don't need to build anything? Why do I need to invite new meeples if my first four can handle the spaceship work perfectly. Food and oxygen is infinite. No pirates or treats at the sector I've started. It doesn't feel like the game - it's some kind of constructor. Remember Lego? It's the advanced version. Build your spaceship. If you want to build it bigger - collect the resources. If no - then no. You'll never need new meeples. They bring problems without any impact. You don't need to explore the space as the sectors only differ with resources. You don't need to evolve as it brings only troubles. I've played for about 4 hours and I didn't meet anything that will motivate me to do anything. And don't even start about early access - the game already full of content. It's useless but it's there. I've tried RimWorld at the early access (at the really early stage) - and the game gave me motivation from the first seconds. You'll die if won't find food. You'll die when winter comes if won't stockpile the food. You'll freeze if you don't have buildings with some heating. You get killed if won't produce weapon. You can't handle to do all that stuff if you have only 3 persons - you need to evolve, get more people, build the base, collect the food, do stuff. Unless - you'll die. This is motivation to grow. To build. To evolve. I will change the review as long as the game will provide any reason to play.

So I got this game a while back and played it for about 15 min and got bored with it. Considering I play a TON of Space Station 13 AND Dwarf Fortress, I felt like I had to give it another chance And man am I happy I did! Once you get used to the layout and the mechanics you can really start to enjoy the hell out of it. It still feels a little bare-bones but the potential is there and being improved on all the time. I really feel like I can see the future of this being astonishing and hilarious. It is still a diet version of what it can be and its shaping up one step at a time. I can hardly wait to see the finished project. (Hopefully It never is considered 'finished' because the thing that sets SS13 and DF apart from the rest is it they are both being expanded on non-stop.) With mod community this can be unstoppable! Buy it! Support this like its a damn Star-Citizen fevered dream with competent developers! I know I will.

I play a lot of these types of games. I encountered a problem and got help instantly through their discord. The game is great, and with developers who are responsive and helpful, I can say with confidence that I will be playing this game for a long time. Minor bugs that are to be expected for a game in alpha. Cant wait to follow this game through development.

While this game has great potential, the execution is flawed. The doctors don't heal injured meeples, you get attacked by pirates on peaceful mode, they even have leftover remnants of heirarchy section of the game that the had removed, you can destroy credits in the initial building phase of the game, the thorium reactor claims to run on thorium 238 but it appears to run on ship fuel, the thorium processer does not even exist even though you can see it in the build menu. you can't release bugged content if it's THIS obvious, that turns potential buyers off. So would I recommend this game to other players? When they fix these issues, possibly, until then, I can not recommend a game this buggy to others.

I've been following this for a while and I REALLY want to be able to play it. Unfortunately it's an exercise in frustration at this time. You can't right click and drag without causing layers to go away. For instance, I open up the utilities tab and select oxygen, then right click to drag the station and the utilities layer vanishes. Sure I can use the WASD keys, but right click and drag is standard in any game. Frustrating when you can't do that. Next thing, when you try to build something with it's utility lines shown, you can't. Because selecting the component makes the utility lines vanish. If you select the component, then bring up the utility lines, the program doesn't recognize that you have the component on your mouse. You also can't rotate the station on the y-axis in order to see whats on the other side of a wall. Very difficult to tell if a tile is already occupied. There are other frustrations I was able to work around, but eventually it adds up and you no longer want to play. I'm going to hold off on refunding and hopefully in the next two weeks they can make the game more user friendly.

This game has been on my wishlist since Early Access, the game EAccess came off pretty alright until Sept/Oct '19, the dev/community manager somehow stopped replying to queries and everyone thought they abandoned it, so did I. Yesterday, I was surprised to see that it has launched in 1.0 and bought it right away. Fast forward today, I finally had some time to sit down and playthrough it and it was a pretty buggy mess along with certain basic QoL that should have been in there along with launch and I feel that they shouldn't have released it at this state at all. Right off the start, there is a very simplified tutorial in the game, but please don't go in and expect hand holding, there's a hint box letting you know that you can go to Meeple Station's wiki to find out more about how certain things work. Campaign mode is somewhat like Sandbox, the very first "mission/objective" is to "Grow/expand your station" and that's it, you are suppose to expand your station renown by trading and expanding your station. Here comes that QoL I mentioned that should have been there at day 1. If you decided to restart your campaign/sandbox mode, be prepared to sit through 2-3 minutes worth of "cutscene" that CAN'T be skipped. Those who are looking to do a refund within that 2 hour window, I hope you are able to configure a perfect layout for your station as well as perfect stats for your starting meeps, otherwise, you'll more likely cross that 2 hour refund playtime because you wanted to build your own station as well as setting up perfect meeps while trying to figure things out. The UI isn't really that intuitive either while there's a few bugs I ran into myself, meeps not refining things; yes I have selected occupation/job for my meep as refiner but meep suddenly just broke and refuse to do it. Meep getting stuck while building station wall. Also, building your station in this "blueprint" state after the cutscene, you can't get your "Credit" back if you click the "clear" button and you're stuck with whatever credit you have used, but like every other bugs, reloading solve the issue BUT more importantly, this shows how important it is if you decided to launch a game in Early Access, the people who bought your game in Early Access SHOULD have access to your prelaunch product so they can actually give you more productive feedback that could help in improving the game. I read that there was play tester that was helping with the development process but as devs, you forgot something, the play testers do this on a regular basis and don't see what newer audience or players see, which is why the product is actually launched in this state and it was nonetheless, pretty disappointing. I am stopping before 2 hour mark hoping there will be more update that will really fix the game, otherwise, I don't think this game is worth the support at it's current state.
