  This game is worth for the B17 mission alone. It's still fun and brings back so much memories.

  Although I've only logged 10 hours on Steam with this game, I've been playing this game since day one and I have over 10,000 hours logged on legacy platforms like X-Fire. Call of Duty: United Offensive is the best addition in the franchise by far. No weapon skins, no perks, no kill streaks. Those things don't make a game great in the slightest. Starting with the Campaign. To this day I still go back and revisit the campaign at least once a year, the campaign is action packed, tells a fantastic story of some of the battles during World War 2, although the graphics, animation and physics do not compare to the newer versions of Call of Duty or new games in general, playing through the Campaign never fails to entertain me. Call of Duty United Offensive has bought me probably the best multiplayer I have ever played, again it's dated compared to games nowadays but you can't get more fun than going through Foy in a jeep or tank with your friends or even going it alone will bring endless hours of fun. Unfortunately, the Multiplayer is not as active as it used to be, however there are still plenty of servers running stock maps and generic settings. Mods are another thing that make United Offensive such a great game. There are so many different maps (Both serious and silly) the game will never go stale and unlike modern versions of the Franchise which release yearly and provide no modification tools to the community, effectively making the game stale after a year. Is the game worth getting? Yes Is it worth $24? Yes and No. A 10 year old game should be cheaper. If this game is ever on sale, I recommend this game for hours of something new and fresh.

  Right so... This game is exactly like it's predecessor, Call Of Duty {2003}. 1 thing you should know is if you want to play this game you MUST have Call Of Duty {2003} installed. God Bless

  Hands down the best shooting multi-player experience around. And I've played them all. Buy it for the base - assault mode. This expansion is over ten years old and people still play. The controls are so precise and unforgiving you need real skill. Forget about heart beat sensors, drones, infared, load outs. You won't find that here. Here you get bolt action, iron sights. And tanks. Nothing beats running over some camping sniper with a tank.

  Call of Duty: United Offensive is an expansion pack for the original Call of Duty, from back when expansion packs were actually a thing, and not just a DLC, and, for an expansion pack, it feels large enough that I can recommend it, even if I had some issues with it that I'll go into detail further down this review. So, if you're already familiar with the first Call of Duty, you should know what to expect when it comes to gameplay and even story. World War II is raging on, and the campaign is divided in three main chapters; first as an American soldier, then as a British soldier, and finally, a Soviet soldier. While the number of missions is less than half of the main game, the levels themselves feel much larger, and there's a decent variety as in one of the missions you'll be part of a B-17's crew, or a spotter for artillery (which is one of the new mechanics added in the game).When it comes to gameplay, beyond the previously mentioned artirelly spotting (done with some binoculars in the Soviet portion of the campaign), there's a few new weapons: from machine guns you need to deploy in order to fire, to flamethrowers. Your character can now sprint as well, though for a rather short while. Now, the level design is something that, personally, I didn't enjoy as much. While the larger levels might be a welcome sight, item placement feels poorly thought of at times, with large stretches filled with enemies and little to no health packs or ammo (meaning you'll usually end up discarding your original weapon, even if it's better than enemy weapons). Another issue is that several of the missions require you to hold off wave after wave of enemies, waiting for reinforcements, or simply keep spawning enemies until you make a mad rush. The final mission was, in my opinion, particularly annoying, as it has you destroy five tanks (which take a while to come out), while enemies keep spawning and planes keep doing bombing runs. And once you've destroyed the tanks, you still need to hold the enemy off for at least two minutes before reinforcements arrive. While those missions were engaging the first few times, by the end of the game, it was a bit tiresome, and I just wanted it over with. Still, despite my personal issues with the game, as I said in the opening paragraph, I can recommend it for players who want more of the original Call of Duty. Of course, the graphics haven't changed at all (and this is a detriment in the final few missions, the city you fight through is basically a big box of grey), but the game shines in other areas; sound design is still very good if a bit dated. As a final warning of sorts: don't be like me and uninstall the original game before playing this one. You need to have it installed even if this one shows up as a separate entry on your library.

  Great game, but I don't know what planet you have to be on to charge £15 for a game that's almost 20 years old. Even a decade ago this game would have been in the bargain bins at game stores, you could have picked it up for well under £10.

  Well, some missions are boring and repetitive. Some others are good to play. The game is significantly harder. Normally I play at hardened mode but even regular mode was somewhat hard. 6/10.

  Probably the hardest CoD campaign to beat on Veteran (without save scumming). Not recommending because they are charging a ridiculous $20 dollars for the game. The Warchest bundle is an ok deal but I recommend waiting for a sale or finding the game elsewhere.
