  The customisation is pointless because the arena is so small that there is no other play style than performing laps, no strategy. This is a stylish toy, not a game.

  It's an amazing game for its price. At the beginning the small map and retro movement may make you feel dumb but after a couple of runs you just get used to it, and it's just fun to go around destroying everything. You get Skill Points pretty easily so you can start customazing your way of playing quite early. There's a lot of lingo that's not explained though, and the menu, even though the concept of it being a terminal is fun, at the end is just an annoyance. Also, the game was dropped before a lot of stuff got fixed so RoboLucca's guide to modding and their unofficial patch are recommended. Still a good game, recommended.

  Really cool little game that encourages experimentation. Cons: -Can get repetitive -Limited variety in environment (as in, there's only one) -Screen can get messy Pros: -Screen can get messy >:] -Decent replayability -Great music -MANY upgrade paths -Upgrades feel like Borderlands meets Path of Exile -You can turn down screen shake I would absolutely recommend this game, particularly for the price point. An extended version of the game with more environments, zone progression and more (maybe randomized?) class upgrade options and ships would be excellent to see.

  Fantastic game for 2 USD. Gameplay is fun: more experimental than grindy. It doesn't take long to get deep into the skill tree, and the skill tree is massive and malleable, letting you change things as you go and giving you plenty of opportunity to do so. Dying cashes in your profits, making death rewarding. Soundtrack is lovely. Dev is helpful and responsive.

  After playing two builds, I can say that this is a very fun game with a lot of potential replayability for $2. It took me a while to understand how some of the passive mechanics worked, but after messing with the tree for a bit, most of it makes sense. My only real gripe is that once you have a solid full build, the limitation on how far you can take it seems to come down to your hardware. My second build was a Nuclear cycle-bomber that got all the way to level 106 before the game slowed to 1 FPS and eventually crashed. It seems like the difficulty scaling should probably increase enemy HP and damage rather than quantity at a certain point.

  [b][i]BYTEPATH[/i] is awesome.[/b] It reminds me a bit of [i]Bit Blaster XL[/i], but with a lot more meat on the bone. Also brings up thoughts of [i]Gran Vitreous[/i], but with less grind and more control given to the user with regards to making a successful build. [b]In any regard, lets be clear that the asking price of two bucks is insanely low.[/b] I think it's probably worth about ten, no questions asked. The soundtrack is outstanding, and the artwork works really well. [i]Essentially, this is a bit of a sandbox game where you try to make your craft as OP as possible.[/i] You need to grind to unlock stuff, but that goes fairly quickly. Trying out different builds is both satisfying, and different choices feel quite potent. The whole thing is addicting in a zen kind of way. [b]Pros:[/b] +The artwork is fantastic +The music is superb; some parts remind me of a modern-ish [i]Neverending Story[/i] score +Really fun one-more-run appeal +They give you a sandbox to pick and choose characteristics for your ship; choices feel potent +Two bucks is crazy low [b]Cons:[/b] -Depending on your build, you may not need a lot of skill to be successfull; I made a ship where it had a super thick field of missiles around it and I could basically just plow into anything - but again, this is some of the fun of it -Yeah, there is not a huge variety of enemies or anything like that - it almost has a modern [i]Asteroids[/i] angle going for it [b]If you find yourself perusing the store page - I assure you that you are gonna have a good time.[/b] Well worth full price.

  An awesome score chaser well worth $2. The ability to try out different builds which can make the game harder or easier in your preferred favor is where this game really shines. Perhaps you'd want to go slow and have tanky health with a barrage of infinite bullets changing every ten seconds. This is possible with an expansive skill tree that lets you choose up to 80 nodes out of it's over 900 possibilities. [h1]Pros[/h1] +Great soundtrack +Variety of play style through classes, ships, and passive skills +Just one more time mentality score chaser +Visuals such as screen shake, glitch, and distortion can be tweaked to be less on the eyes +Creative menu [h1]Cons[/h1] -Can get repetitive (Not as bad if playing around with different builds) -Game still seems to have visual hiccups especially when there are a lot of bullets and enemies on screen at once -Node management can be a pain sometimes (I would like to see it separated in to clear build paths I.E. speed, tank, sp, bullets) All in all this is a fun little score chaser and definitely worth the low price requested. If you like arcade shooters this is one you should just go ahead and pick up.   Really fun game, the more you get into it and start creating and testing different builds makes your couple dollars worth on its own ! Hope to see a little more Quality of Life patches but great game !!

  Great small shooter which uses a complicated passive tree, pre-packaged classes, and ship types to give you tons of options to deal with a gradually escalating Asteroids clone. You start with asteroids, and end with bullet hell. Solid buy, especially at given price. A gem in the rough.
