  Update: Ship got nerfed, Pirate Rig Refit got nerfed. Still a great rageboarder and still be easy to get away from everything with this little p2w boat and its up to 400 crew. I still feel bad to buy this crappy P2W ship as you need more DLC ships as your enemy in RvR to win. The ship is clearly P2W, with one upgrade ([Elite] Pirate Rig Refit) that only gives benefits on it, while it has drawbacks on any other ship. Makes your ship reach the speedcap on most angles to the wind, doesn't matter how you built it otherwise. Other point is it has too much crew compared to all other shallow water ships (250 base). Stacking on crew makes it an OP rageboarder with up to 380 crew. That devs gave that ship in a hotfix the ability to actually rageboard anything without any preparation needed is just the cherry on top. Other thing you will notice is how crappy the game physics are when you play this bad boy, accelerating from -10kn to 15kn in seconds. Broken visuals - sails get pushed in the wrong direction as your ship sails. And broken hitboxes for masts and sails. Don't support P2W. Don't buy.

  Remains the most broken ship in game and definitely feels pay to win. She is a 6th rate Mediterranean ship. Why is a Mediterranean ship in a Caribbean game? Definitely don't buy unless you are rank 6/12 (Master and Commander equivalent) because she needs all of that crew. Imagine being a shallow water 6th rate with more crew than light 5th rate frigates and ability to mount 12 32-pounder carronades on each side. It also has decent amount of HP for being a 6th rate but has a relatively large profile. But who cares? It can sail pretty far upwind to run away from most ship-rigged opponents. Not mounting the carronades makes it a significantly worse ship.

  Great ship. It's detailed very carefully. It has chase and stern guns also, makes it very adaptable in addition to it's insanely large sailing profile. You can easily board and overwhelm most enemy ships in the same class with 250 crew. Considering the amount of work that was put into modeling this ship, it is a good value IMO. You can see the details of the stern bas-relief figures here. Note the hammered dimples of the brass. Very detailed.   The negative reviews are mostly from when this thing first landed and was way OP. It is still very powerful and amazing for its rate, but is reasonable now. I play only PVE, so I can say if you want to overpower similar AI ships, this is the one for you. Also, the massive crew count lets you board ships that are way bigger than you.

  In order, this ship is very good. I've had one since september, taken it to Baracoa a few times and STILL havn't lost it. It makes a brilliant escort ship for Tlynxes and Bermuda Cedar Tbrigs. Combat-wise, it has very good gun capacity. Ditch mediums and longs, and only use carro's. It's super-high crew cap means that you can board most ships. The best way to board is with your broadside facing their stern. Note that this ship is kind of squishy. To get those boarding books, level up the ship with stern raking. Try and find NPC L'oceans of Vics and just stern rake them. To start off with, you want to sink them. Once you unlock all book slots, equip boarding mods only and repeat the strategy, just with a board at the end. This ship is also incredibly detailed. Loving the stern artwork. You also don't lose sail health if you lose that bowsprit. This is an amazing ship. It is useful, fun and best of all, effective. If you are planning on buying this, get it. (And play as GB)
