  Changes the game, a must buy. Each Mythic unit has unique mini faction mechanics which changes play styles of you, your enemies, and the campaign generally. Really well designed units and campaign gameplay. And it’s gorgeous!

  Mythos is kinda bland for what you pay. $25.00 seems a tad steep for, basically, a new Mythological mode that just adds a few unique units (flying units, Cereberus, and Hydras basically, with a couple Centaur units as well) and a quest line to capture one mythical monster. If you really enjoy Troy for what it is, Mythos is probably worthwhile for expanding on the game, but Mythos doesn't really change up tactics or campaign mechanics much. Honestly, the main tactical thing from Mythos is having griffins or harpies or whatever they are. And after that, capturing one of the three mythical monsters adds a lot of firepower to your main army. But in the end, I had hoped Mythos would be a more significant overhaul than it is.

  The Mythos DLC is an absolute must for Troy. The new battle style of HP bars for units in Three Kingdoms and Troy means that the historicity and tactical use of shields and formations no longer matter. Units are now blobs fighting each other in a manner similar to Warhammer (i.e., shields don't really block missiles as they did in Rome 2, and units basically just deal splash damage to each other. In some ways, strategy and tactics have gone by the wayside). Mythos helps this game go full fantasy by adding mythological creatures and epic quests to tame famous Greek legends. Despite the lackluster battles of Troy, this DLC adds depth and magic to an already beautiful campaign experience.

  Goes a long way towards fixing the flaws in the base game and greatly increases unit variety.
