  I've played this game irl. I play a lot of board games. I play a lot of online board games. This is one of the best ports from a tabletop game to Steam. The gameplay requires no defense. When it comes to multiplayer deckbuilding games, there aren't many better. I can't stress enough how important this is to me, but PvP interaction in this game is optional. As far as the translation from board game to digital, the gameplay is seamless. 1 Love the transitions, 1 Love the smoothness of the animation, and the singleplayer mode leaves enough variation to keep the gameplay interesting. Although the theme is mildly questionable [spoiler] and one of the future expansions includes a card with slight nudity,[/spoiler] this is an all-ages game. **The JRPG tag for this game is 100% wrong. It is definitely a board game.

  So -- I love Tanto Cuore. But the problem with *this* Tanto Cuore is the AI: It's much too simple. I played the iOS Tanto Cuore app that existed somewhere between 7-10 years ago, and it's AI was shockingly brilliant, and very difficult -- I learned to play (and love) the game against that AI. I don't know if it's that I got better, or if this Tanto Cuore is a different implementation. But the AI makes stunningly bad moves here. Also, it seems that multi-player is either not implemented, or is implemented in a way that it's rare that people ever hook up for a match. You might have to manually set up a call with someone and create a room, to play against them. If the AI and the multi-player worked out, this would be amazing, because the production values are good, the game works, and Tanto Cuore itself is an amazing game. But as it stands, this just isn't there yet. Here's to hoping that there are improvements. 2021-09-30.

  This one always takes a lot to explain: "You use love to buy maids putting them into your deck and if you can be serviced by enough of them you can get them into your private bedchambers. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game is the best master of the house! These are the name of the game mechanics! stop giggling."-me every game with a newbie Its a deckbuilder. Using one of the maids per turn, each maid has different abilities, most of which will let you A)give you more love B)play more special cards C)draw more cards D) buy more than one card to buy with your love E)Anything else that the devolopers think of. Draw a new hand every turn, when 2(or 3) piles are empty its the end of the game... and now you know how to play Tanto Cuore.

  I have been going to comic /anime /entertainment conventions for going on 10 years now, and every year I would see this big Japanime games booth. Even though all the stuff looked cool I would pass it by because I usually only go one day and didn't have the time. On year me and my sister went all three days of a convention and had some downtime, so we finally went to the japanime games booth and they showed us how to play heart of crown. Years later and we still love playing that game. Tanto core is something I always saw at the booth but never picked up but the day I saw it on steam I snatched it and dove right in. The card game itself is very fun, and the translation to video game is very well done. Matches last about 15 minutes, but they are so engrossing that they feel more like 30. The single player mode is a very welcome touch too, where you play a standard match against an ai player, but you have 3 extra goals to accomplish to get a star rating. It add extra depth and replayability. The ui is great, everything looks clean and readable. I love it. And if you like card games I cannot reccomend it enough. I hope they keep making these steam ports I would love to see barbarosa or core connection in video game format, those would be day one buys for me.

  Tanto Cuore is a very fun deckbuilding card game in the style of Dominion, but with a cute anime maid asthetic. It is a classic among my family, we have played it regularly and enjoy it immensely in real life. That said, the multiplayer in this Steam version never worked for me, and the A.I. feels both very unfair (they gang up on the human player), yet at the same time very stupid (they try to rush and end the game despite losing, or buy useless cards that make their decks worse). The little missions for each level are great idea for replayability and added difficulty... in theory. But the unpredictable, terrible A.I. makes completing those a frustrating crapshoot. Overall, I'd still recommend this game if you can find fun in mindless grinding against the CPU and are a fan of the game to begin with. But I had more fun against the CPU in Heart of Crown, which is also a slightler better designed game in general, so I recommend that one over Tanto Cuore.

  Fun game, has a pretty robust single player mode and unlockables, which many of these kinds of games lack. The tutorial is not very good, and I was completely lost until I played a better tutorial for another card game, Dominion, and it clicked that they were basically the same game. So, if you're lost, I recommend Dominion's tutorial (it's free).
