  I have no idea where the all the hate comes from, I mean, what do you expect, look at the goddamn screenshots or do some youtube research!! The first "RIP" game is a very short and very shitty game, a turret-shooter with a playing time of 1 hour, insane difficulty changes from level to level and without any climatic structure whatsoever, terribly frustrating and once you are through you either cheated, played on lowest difficulty or tried way too hard for this lazy piece of 90s-software shit that I wouldn´t even recommend nowadays as an office break because there are flashgame with way better....everything! RIP 2 is a decent top-down-shooter though, because you can finally move, decide from where and how to shoot on your own, the insane number of enemies and action on the screen provides a fun time for about 3 hours, and together with a lot of powerups, cool weapons, 6 bosses with nice little fights and different weapons/moves and...yeah, not tactics but at least "placed to shoot at", I can recommend it if you´re into this kind of genre, you get some updates and the soundtrack is ok. And then, the main reason to buy this package may be the newest part, because RIP 3 is like an extended version of the second part and with 6 characters in total, alotta upgrades and weapons and enemies and vehicles and bosses, 100 levels for a decent time to finish the game, changing settings and so on it´s silly top-down-action fun and imho worth a few bucks. It tries to have a story of some sort, you can create different profiles, there is a multiplayer - even if noone plays it anymore - a loca co-op which is fun and can even be played via controller, you have nice drawings, a skill-tree, better upgrades and all in all it´s just a good game on it´s own, if you liked the second one you will LOVE this and if you didn´t you should still give a chance. So if this package is in sale as it was a few times before, then grab it and have you 8 or so hours fun with part 2 and 3, take the easy difficulty because 2 is kinda unfair and hard then and when and definetly skip the first part, but as long as you don´t pay more than like, 3 or 4 bucks it should be fine, I mean you know what you signed in for by just watching a few gameplay vids and back at their release time these games costed like 5 bucks EACH so this deal should be fine. Really looking forward to play part 3 again :) Mindless fun.

  If you're up for a fun, no-nonsense, classic style, old-school, twin-stick shooter with very straightforward bish-bash-bosh gameplay then you can do a lot worse.

  The RIP Trilogy are basic shooter games. The first one is painful as you sit stationary, and have to shoot enemies as they approach from all directions. The second and third are twin stick shooters that are more comical than anything else. The second one is fair, but the third one is was incredibly easy until a train decided to derail and chase me, which was the most hillarious moment I had in the game. I died instantly, which was totally worth it. If you like twin stick shooters, try Smash TV, Robotron, Hotline Miami, and just about anything else. After you tried them all, come check this out just for a good laugh.

  Simple arcade shooter that does not fit everyone's taste. I like all three games from trilogy even if I rather play the first or third one and not so much second. This retro feel is my liking and characters are cool, what more could I want?

  The RIP Trilogy, along with the other Meridian4 games, are among the first games I've bought here on Steam. Most games published by Meridian4 are 'OK' games. As far as I know none of the games are amazing but none of them are garbage aswell. Same goes for the RIP trilogy. The RIP Trilogy, obviously exists of three games: -RIP -RIP2:Strike Back -RIP3:The Last Hero All three games are pretty much the same; Kill all spawning enemies, Pick up powerups/weapons and level up. The only real difference I can come up with would be the fact you controll a stationary base cannon in RIP(1), whereas in the other two games you'll be able to walk around and in later in the game, you will be able to controll vehicles. Gameplay is standard but fun and quite addictive. You could compare it to 'Crimsonland' which, most likely took this game as an example. The weird thing though, while many people rate Crimsonland positively, I do not get the negative ratings about this trilogy. It's obvious a lot more work has been involved in the RIP-Trilogy compared to Crimsonland, just look at the screenshots. The RIP-Trilogy is not perfect and it's not for everyone but I believe fans of the genre won't be dissapointed.

  Another forgettable top down slaughterfest with hoardes of copypasta enemies tossed your way throughout the game. Don't waste your time and money buying this snorezville of a game. Even as the best in the trilogy, it doesn't warrant taking up even a second of mine or anyone else's time.

  The game is fun, but has 2 big issue. The mouse movement seems to be terrible, it often fails to pick up movements. The tanks hp seems to be broken as the game is about impossible to beat without lowering their health in the files.

  It's a typical top-down shooter. It's actually quite challenging. The big difference here is that you can't move. It's enjoyable for the first 10 minutes (or at least until you die). The rest of the trilogy (the 2 games) are more of the same thing only with movability and/or more guns. Nothing more to write about. It's a fun and quick alternative if you are looking to kill time.

  Looks like a buggy flash player game, but to the price compared this is pretty decent game. Got it for around 1,3 e with 4 other games. It even gets challenging after a while. 3/10

  This is a weird one. I actually quite liked those games when they came out all those years ago. Probably even beat one of them (don't know any more witch one). But since then I have played a lot of games, better ones, even in this arena defence* genre, and the RIP games have not aged well. Perhaps a remake would be nice, with a silly title like RIP Retrology where old levels and ideas are recreated on a new game engine with some new elements thrown in. This could work. 6/10 *I actually don't know, if that is the correct term.
