  The weakest Monsters' Den entry if you ask me. This game feels more like a pre-alpha of Monsters' Den Godfall. In combat, presentation, and many more. If you really insist to buy this, buy Godfall instead. If you don't know what the Monsters' Den series is, go play "Monsters' Den: Book of Dread" on the internet since it's free there. Monsters' Den series started as a flash game hence that one is free. Book of Dread is a pretty solid dungeon crawler, despite its graphics and age, though it definitely is rough in today's standards Ah and the most important thing. This is a [b]Remastered[/b] version of Monsters' Den Chronicles. Which means the original (pretty similar) is for free on the internet! So yeah, instead of a demo, you have the entire game to judge if its worth. And if it is, I guess you can buy it to support the developer or play with extra features. tl;dr: Play Godfall instead, or the free version if you are in doubt

  A very nice remaster of the developer's first game: Monsters' Den: Book of Dread. It has some what better graphics than the first game but it also has a ton of quality of life additions. It has been a while since I played the first game but this one seems to also have more interesting skill level upgrades. If you liked the first game you are going to enjoy this one. I have not played much yet but I can tell this will be my "go to" game when I don't have a lot of free time.

  Do not buy this game if you have other games that you want to play. You will play only this game. You will then realize that you should play this game less, and then find yourself playing it again. PS. Send help. PPS. And pizza. PPPS. Wait, just pizza.

  fun, simple, nostalgic. Fulfills my itch for party progression, comp building, incremental upgrades, and grid-less+turn-based combat.

  I enjoyed this game quite a lot and it serves as a great entry to the Monster's Den universe. It made me go on to get Godfall, which is in my opinion the better game in that it is more feature rich. However, Chronicles is a bargain at the price and if you're after something that's more dungeon and combat focused it's worth a buy or if you are curious about the Monsters Den series. Seeing that flash is in it's twilight years. Gameplay-wise think a slightly more forgiving and looty Darkest Dungeon and youre not too far off!

  I must be crystal honest here. This one is bad. Terribly bad. It tries to be something its not. They flew away from the simple aesthetic from the first, and try to be an advanced version almost 3d-like but fails miserably because it is a hybrid. You either stay simple or go full animated, you can't simply be half of each...this game shows it. The perfomarnce is terrible too. Even on high-end PC the game floats around 11~33 fps depending on the skills used. I managed to get a 8 fps once. The skills and atributes aren't selectable like the first, it is generated randomly and its bad too. You will spend more time managing your inventory than actually playing the game. Some events don't say what is going to happen: you can simply die, or nothing happens, who knows? It sucks. Anyway, played it back in armorgames long time ago and i remember it differently but who cares? This version is an abmination i can't recommend it. Unless you're a true fan of the series and want to support the dev like me.
