  Ok, did a quick "qa" from gameplay perspective/released 4 games: - looks better than the first one, I like the art direction - sound effects are of much higher quality - "develop a game" is nicer to use since it's one "next, next" window - I love players feedback - is it possible to see it in more 'focused' way (or maybe there's some history that I didn't see) as it's in the corner and sometimes I notice it a bit too late - additional furniture now has strict functionality (NOTE: possible micromanagement issues at later stages?) - game sliders are now more logical, if you think about your genre, it's easy to get a 80+% game; also numerated positions are now nicely shown from '1' onward - reviews look nicer, text I saw was more related to the game and score chart is easily readable - first impression - are we going to expand in this neighborhood or will we buy new, larger offices like before? I'm asking because this might be a bit chaos with separate houses - item placement - weird unused space > hard to create small and efficient rooms when refrigerator or for example radiator heater can't be placed on a wall. Anything planned on that field? Bottom line - I'm happy with first impressions and this game feels like improvement on the first one, which is what we all wanted and I've sank many hours into that one as it is the best game dev game to date. If you're into that kind of games, you won't go wrong with *supporting* this one; at this price it'll for sure be worth it and this dev has proven dedication and will listen to community.   Played on Hard Difficulty, EA build 202108 - sold my car in 1976 to start a one man show studio that develops a game franchise in the genre of RPG/Action. Katari and FC were the main gaming console at that time. - develpoed 5 games all flopped, ~$2mn in debt if not cleared up within 12 months, brankrupcy. - due to good relationship with a publisher partner, made an exclusive publishing deal $2.5Mn that saved my ass. - after many flops and game analysis, finally my "Monster Tactics 7" received 70% user ratings and made a good profit. Decided to make sequels. - used that money to start R&D and ramped up the team (advanced graphics&sound, QA, motion capture). Ever since that every sequal, game reviews and sales greadually went up. - in 1990s, console war arrives, so many consoles in the market, but negelated that and choosed to focus on Personal Computers and Mac (sure, it will be big!) - because of the tech and experience accummulated in developing RPG/Action games in the past 2 decades, developers start to show ineterst to buy my TacticsEngine 2.0 with $10K upfront (later went down to 5K and ultimately want it to be free) + 10% royalties. Which proved to be an important pillar to sustain the sutido in developing AA in the early 2000. Into 2000, PC gaming continues to grow and game industry exploded. Enjoyed the upside, one game received Best Sound in the Mad Game Awards. Studio sit on ~ $10Mn cash. - borrowed another $10Mn from the bank, poured in total $20Mn in developing "Monter Tactics 17" (MMO version), it took 5 yrs in development and finally ready to go live in 2005. In some years, cash was quite negative but passive royalty incomes from my TacticsEngine saved my ass. - ready for company's biggest ever launch, ordered marketing deparment to build an overhype but failed. Good news is MMO trend arrived. We released the game right on time. Users start to jump into the server. Immediately ordered development team to build paid DLCs every 3 months and keep interest level high on the game. Topped MMO sales ever since. - by End of 2006, won GOTY and Year of the Studio, paid off all debts and sits on $20Mn cash. MT17 sales and subscription revenues still growing, We got a cash printing machine for years to come, thinking about brining MT IP to mobile soon. That was an interesting ride!

  Mad Games Tycoon 2 is a simulation/ management game where you take on the role of a video game developer. If you ever wanted to develop and publish games now is your chance, even if it is in a virtual world. Of course, that is once you work out what you are meant to be doing, as the tutorial in the game is still missing and really doesn’t tell you anything. But for a game with no tutorial and no story there is a lot of depth under its hood. Your game development company starts small in a garage but can grow from its humble beginnings to a large gaming company. That is, like in real life, if the fans like your game and it sells well of course. As you get deeper into Mad Games Tycoon 2 and more things are unlocked, there are a lot of things to manage during a game development. Choose what system to develop a game for, what dev kits and patches for your game to use. How to advertise your new game and picking a good name. Along with a slightly high price point Mad Games Tycoon 2 may have a few minor bugs and the lacking tutorial. Overall though, once you get to grips with the game it is an enjoyable and challenging management simulation with gameplay that sucks you in. Before you know it hours have passed by! Im sure all of the problems will be fixed by the games full release and I would still recommend getting it now if you are even remotely interested. Mad Games Tycoon 2 is the best and most in depth game development simulator out there - and a great upgrade from Mad Games Tycoon.   As a Sequel of Mad Games Tycoon. Graphic is better. The Game play is quite good, but still lack of new things---little bit mediocre, it seems to me,the developers have taken too much inspiration from other games (LOL). Unfortunately, only monotonous music comes out of speakers, Not nice! Control of the game is not strong point of the game, can be better. Conclusion: It is a early access game, a good game that still needed to be polished. Last but not least, some fans would like to have more languages of the game(or should I say better localization? LOL)

  When I was a kid, a game came out called Big Biz Tycoon where you ran a business of almost any kind you wanted. One of the types was to produce video games, but since the game was more about managing a business there was zero difference between making a game and making weapons for the army, they were just projects to put people to work on. That didn't stop me from stretching it's features to the limit trying to enjoy a tycoon about game making. Years later Game Dev Tycoon came out. It was a fun game, I enjoyed the walk through of the history of gaming. But I felt that so much of the interesting things about game development were missing from it, and you were so limited in the size of the company you could form and the options you had on designing games, releasing games, etc.. It almost felt more like an arcade-style sim than a real tycoon game. It was good, but it wasn't quite there. Then years later I ran into this. This is without a doubt the best Game Company Simulator I have ever played. At first, and on the surface, it feels like Game Dev Tycoon with different graphics. Then you realize you can get WAY more than 6 employees, and you can create departments to focus on testing, research, graphics, sound design, etc.. Then you start to unlock all the nuanced ways to publish your games. GDT only let you do sequels (and that research was unlocked so late in the history of games that it felt really weird). In this you can remaster, you can republish Game of the Year editions, and Silver editions (yeah, who else remembers those). You can bundle games together in a .... bundle to republish (yeah, I remember those days, Star Trek Armadas 1 and 2 and some Voyager game with it's expansion, great way to get introduced to games you had no interest in). The type of marketing you can do feels right, everything from releasing beta demos before a game comes out to drum up hype all the way to publishing fake reviews that might have backlash if people trace it back to your scummy company. You can buy other companies and make them subsidiaries. You can develop games for consoles you haven't released yet, and put them on hold to give your console "launch titles" for the big release. And that's not even going into the actual game design part that feels a lot more fleshed out than any other Game Dev Simulator I've ever played. Is it perfect? Not yet, but it's early access and it's pretty dang close in my opinion. And they keep releasing new content regularly right now. I'm very impressed with this game, I'm impressed with the developers' continued work on it, and I keep looking forward to each update as it comes. Though to be honest if the updates stopped right now I wouldn't complain. Its a great game as is. 10/10 would buy again. Side note: there is a multiplayer where I guess your friends can play as rival companies but I haven't tried it so I can't say anything about that.
