THE UNIQUES: 💎 Playing as the devils son. PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS: 💼 Violent. 💼 Dark. 💼 Nudity. PROS: + Flying around as a crow. + Easy to learn. + Voice acting, sounds and music are pretty decent. + Kills are violent. CONS: - So many game breaking bugs. - Feels rushed. VERDICT: The vibe here is obvious, the devs clearly were growing tired of the franchise and rushed the final game, it's full of bugs with some of them forcing you to restart the chapter or the game all together, these type of actions can't be forgiven, things we're going downhill from the second release but this one hits an all time low. If you really want to know how things end with Lucius, either watch a run through or grit your teeth and finish your own play through, I'd motion you go for the first suggestion, it's a far less painful experience. Total Score = 32/100. GAMEPLAY: The game follows Lucius and McGuffin as they commit a series of murders in Winter Hill, in order to break the scroll's seven seals and bring about the apocalypse. Ok this is the best game of the whole franchise, the only thing that i didnt like was the fact that ended too soon, this sure is a glow up from previous lucius games!

It's a good game, much better than chapter 2 which was horrible in my opinion. idk why they gave me a 25% coupon code after I bought the game, now I have to wait until the current sale is over to use my coupon for a cheaper price. Thanks Shiver Games.

It's a rough game for 2018 and I wish they would have either had him older or go back to the series roots with a single location as clearly open world is too much for the size of team. The voice acting and animations are good though and the locations look good but clipping can be an issue a lot along with some lighting bugs occasionally otherwise it is better than the previous installment.

Serious gfx issues, almost all areas in shade or inside buildings are just completely black making it impossible to see anything. I can deal with the bugs and minor glitches (of which there are many) But not being able to see anything even on maximum brightness settings is a killer. As I mentioned there are also MANY bugs and glitches - Clunky movement, Awful animations Objects sticking out of walls, Objects visible through walls, Things interactable through walls, Characters clipping into walls/floors and each other, Various sound issues and voice's stopping mid speech or clipping over other sound cues. And this is after just 2 hours of play no doubt there are more. The game feels like it was rushed into release far to early to meet the christmas deadline. Hopefully they can salvage some of it from the wreckage with future patches.

First off, this game is for hardcore Lucius fans only… Why, you may ask? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As requested; update Dec. 20: The good thing is that in terms of story and gameplay Lucius 3 is getting back to its origin/roots. Back in the town of Winter Hill (where you spent the first six years of your life), you (in your role as antichrist) have to track down the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. To do this, you roam the open game world, search homes for clues, (revile/investigate the past and secrets) talk to inhabitants and ultimately kill them. This means that you have to work out a killing sequence through personal research and solving some puzzles. In addition/optional you can apply this to other, non-main story related characters as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is buggy/laggy with awful/outdated graphics (incl. frame drops). Some bug details: Characters floating in the air, or stuck in the ground. Main quest items can be collected repeatedly and I had at least one game-breaking bug (couldn’t interact with an object) and had to restart this chapter. On the bright side: - open world with many locations to discover/explore - 1 tutorial and 7 main chapters - turn into a raven and fly around the town - good music, sound, voice acting and cutscenes (overall) - interesting and engaging storyline/dialogues and narrative - fair level of difficulty and easy puzzles (+ easy achievements) - a couple of side quests; you can kill almost all characters, collect "Bobbleheads" - wickedly funny - two endings - min. 6-8 hours of gameplay Lucius is back, let’s get ready to rumble! However, love it or hate it. Hell Yeah! Screenshot added: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1591339035

Everygame has there ups and downs upon release date But i shall still stand by the Whole Series as it really enjoyable to play Pros: - I hardly see a Developer Listen to all the Feedback about there game as much and this one - Open World - More Places to Explore - fast travelling - new Kills - Bubbleheads "to keep you Busy" - Better Inventory Management - Bird travelling Cons: - The bird becomes near enough Useless after finding all Fast travel locations "but can become useful in some places" - Lack of people walking around or driving around making it Ghost town - Save File needs improvements "I would like to be able to Manually save myself" - one place is buggy for me and that is the morgans family house, but The Dev Team are aware of these and Fixing it BIG CONS Where Is The Tricycle I demand a Tricycle please and thank you (^_^)

The current state of this game means it will really only be enjoyable to diehard Lucius fans right now. It's not totally unplayable and I have got some fun out of it, but it's a clunky, bug-ridden mess that should never have been released in its curent form. Good points about the game are the same as for the previous two games in the franchise: the storyline is awesome, it's incredibly fun playing the Antichrist, and the kills are pretty inventive (if convoluted). They're also merciless: child characters are among the killable. That's where the good ends. The game is so full of bugs right now it sucks all enjoyment from the game. It's a constant stream of storylines/scenes not triggering when they should, or triggering when they shouldn't, collectibles respawning when they're not supposed to, bizzarely absent sound effects and music, missing character models or hilarious clipping problems, and terrible lighting. There's a thread of 200 posts in the forum just dealing with the bugs, and although a dev is responding, it's a bit lacklustre. The main problem, though, is that they tried to be "open world" - they may market the game as such, but it really isn't. It's a very linear storyline where you have to do things in a certain order. But because they allow you to explore freely, this sets you up for all sorts of issues as the game doesn't prevent you from doing things in the WRONG order, meaning you can mess up plots without realising it and accidentally cut yourself off from huge swathes of the storyline. This last point, to me, is unforgivable and I'm not sure it can be fixed as it's a problem with the format of the game itself. The devs really should have just ditched the open world concept and made the game a little more restrictive in order to preserve the story (which, as I say, is good but is ruined by a constant fear of messing up in the game).

The son of the devil finally returns to unleash evil. After the first very atmospheric Omen-like entry of the franchise and the splatter-sandbox mutated follow up, LUCIUS III marks the ending of this satanic trilogy. But how good does it finish the story? First of all: It is NOT ready. It is bugridden, has performance issues and is missing content (like actual chapters of the story that were planned). Does this make it an Early Access Game? YES. Is it marked as such? NO. Apart from this No Go, Lucius III is actually quite good at what it does. It returns to more a more adventure-like and story ridden gameplay. You get to know the characters - before you kill 'em. Nonetheless, it tries to keeps the changing environment of the Sequel - this time by using a semi-filled open world. This open world is actually quite small and it could have been even smaller because it feels quite empty. The existing points of interests are great and there are quite many but the space inbetween simply seems like placeholder space. Luckily we get a fast travel option by morphing into a fast flying raven. Rather problematic is however the save function. You need to reach auto save points. And they are set mostly at the ending of a chapter which is all but pleasing in an open world. A lot of times LUCIUS III seems like the dev's had to high goals. With Shiver Games being a very very small indie team (there's like one person working on optimisation), this is somehow excusable but this game seems like it would have needed a lot more time. This game has a lot of potential and storywise it's not as bad as some AAA titles. But in the current state (and considering the fact that it isn't marked as Early Access - which it clearly is) I can't recommend this. As much as I love the franchise and would like to support the devs. However I'll keep up with future patches (bug- and contentwise) and will edit this review as soon as the devs proofed me wrong. Go, Shiver Games! I believe in you, you'll make it. Pros: - good story - nice atmosphere (of a splatter/horror movie) - interesting characters (though quite cliché-ed) - good music Cons: - performance - unfinished content - several bugs - no manual save / bad save system Additional notes: Not as charming as the first game but quite deeper as the second.
