  This is not a game as such, but a visual novel of Dostoevsky´s morbid story and is perfect because of that.

  A surprisingly fun way to experience a piece of literature that I wasn't aware of before. The art is a great style too, and the glossary feature adds context that I would've missed out on. Overall an excellent lil visual novel. I do wish the main menu interface was a bit more than just 2 language options though.

  I certainly enjoy reading/looking at short stories but never have I heard of Bobok. This short point and click tells a tale which revolves around individuals who reside at a cemetery. The term "bobok" is gibberish but can relate to the babbling of the dead. Mostly talking about their personal problems and how they tangle into each other's lives, Ivan learns the identities and stories of each. The visuals are overall great to look at. Each scene has a depiction of what is going on with change occurring in it. With the dead residents, it is great to have them be shown on the screen with what they are saying. Music is pretty fire. Might be a consideration to not loop one song that’s 30 seconds long for a scene that takes a while to read through. Do more of these as I certainly enjoyed this one.

  Short, but worth the money. It is true to Dostoevsky's short story and is presented in a visually creative way. It is a visual novel. Which means merely clicking to progress (there are not puzzles and so on to figure out). But I am fine with that. The point of the game/story is still worthy of reflection. No matter in what medium you view it.

  Game is half an hour long, the graphic presents the mood well, story is both intriguing and weird. I read few Russian's literature, used to watch some Bway show by Russian playwright like A Doll's House, The Cherry Orchard... and loved them, though I doubt I will enjoy reading at all. In this story the protagonist critics social situation, people are blind to see the importance, reminds me of the book Amusing Ourselves to Death. The dead under the ground chats to each other and decides to throw off all sense of shame, only turned into sudden silence by a cough from above.
