Important: Do not close connectivity panel until connections are fully made or fully disconnected. Sometimes panel might look hanged but it takes time to close. I will fix such problems when i will get time. I have many projects to do.

App to utilize two Android devices as sound recorders & mixers. Recorders behave as Left & Right ears. The recorded audios are mixed with some processing to create one 3D (Binaural) audio file.

I have tried to record audio of 2 devices as close as possible. However even a delay of few microseconds on one device kills binaural quality. Use of Audacity is highly recommended. Without dedicated hardware for timing control making perfect binaural is very hard.

Features:

- Connect 2 devices using Bluetooth or wifi. Control both using any one device.

- Record audio from devices and mix to create binaural audio.

- Use calibration of audio to align both left right audios. Or do this task in PC using Audacity.

- Ogg audio format is used for recording and export.

IMPORTANT:

Android does not allows two recordings from multiple mic at once in one device otherwise i could have made it available in app. There are so many types of devices i cannot test this app on even 4+ devices. I tested on devices i had.

TODO:

- Automatic synchronization to mix left right audios to produce binaural audio hassle free. This one is tough and consuming a lot of time.

- Manual recording mode to record audios without Bluetooth or wifi. Transfer and mix.

- Project management.

- Connection using wifi hotspot.

This app is in workable state and can help anyone to build two recordings and use Audacity to produce final audio. I highly recommend using audacity.
