Stonehearth خصوصیات

In Stonehearth, you pioneer a living world full of warmth, heroism, and mystery. Help a small group of settlers build a home for themselves in a forgotten land. You’ll need to establish a food supply, build shelter, defend your people, monitor their moods, and find a way to grow and expand, facing challenges at every step.

Starting from procedurally generated terrain with dynamic AI encounters, Stonehearth combines community management and combat with infinite building possibilities. It’s designed to be moddable at every level, from your city to the people and creatures inhabiting the world, and will ship with the tools and documentation for you to add your own customizations to the game, and share them with friends.

Build and Grow Your City

The heart of the game is city building and management. When you're just starting out, you'll need to juggle tasks like obtaining a sustainable food supply, building shelter, and defending your fledgling settlement from raiders and other threats.

Once you've achieved a foothold in the world, it's up to you to write the destiny for your people. You have the flexibility to choose your own path in this game. Do you want to build a great conquering empire? A vibrant trade city? A spiritual monastery? We really want you to feel like this is your settlement, and give you the tools that make it look and operate exactly as you wish.

Level Up Your Settlers

All the settlers in your towns have jobs. A job is like a class in a role playing game. Each job has a specific role like hauling materials, building, crafting, and fighting. As your hearthlings work at a job they will gain experience and levels. Some jobs, when they meet certain prerequisites, can upgrade to entirely new jobs with new capabilities.

Usually, to assign someone a new job you'll also need to craft a tool for them. The Mason can craft blocks, statues, and tools from stone, but to do it he'll need a mallet and chisel crafted by the carpenter. Our goal is to have a job tree that's both very wide and very deep, so there will be plenty of different kinds of things to do in the game, but also a lot of depth to explore if you want to concentrate on any one area.

Player Driven Legacy Through Modding

We LOVE mods and want to make it as easy as possible to author and share mods.

Want to see a new kind of sword in the game? You can model it, define its stats, and then craft it in game. You can also share the design with other players so they can enjoy it too, or bring their authored content into your game.

As a modder you’ll be able to do basically anything that we as developers can do: introduce new items and monsters, write new scripted adventures, influence the AI, you name it. It goes back to that original pen and paper RPG experience, where “the game” is a collaboration between the core ruleset and the stories crafted by the gamemaster.

I see a lot of people on here complaining about how the game is unfinished and the devs abandoned it. This is TECHNICALLY true but it hurts to see people hating on the devs for something that wasn't their choice. When Riot bought Radiant Entertainment they were essentially rushed to get the game out then they were told that they couldn't work on it anymore. And although it isn't exactly finished, it's still a very fun game especially with the ace community expansion filling in all the gaps.

I Love this game. This is alongside very few games in my steam library that I keep coming back to after months of not playing. I will play the game until I get to about 30-40+ hearthlings then the game starts to get choppy and laggy. At which point I start to lose interest overall and then start to move on to other things. Back when I first found this game I saw it had really active developers with weekly dev logs and an active twitch channel that they hosted dev streams on of them working on the game. I loved it. It felt so fresh and no other game since has been able to scratch the itch that this game gets when I play it. Then all of a sudden development went silent, The devs sent out one final community post saying that the game was being released as 1.0 and that no further work was being done on it. I was heart broken. Since this happened I started to notice more and more bugs that I was putting up with, with the thoughts "it will be patched out later" in the back of my mind but now knowing that they wont. It really hurts to see the game i loved playing like this. I'm glad that ACE is a thing on the steam workshop, but it doesnt do much to "fix" what is already broken. That being the engine the game runs on. The engine is old. It wasn't made for the amount of AI commands that can occur at once in a late game situation and it shows. If you get to late in a game cycle and have 40+ hearthlings things can get very very choppy as the game starts to need frequent restarts in order to keep up with itself and not dump its load on "idle" processes that slow it way down. I really want to give this game a good review because I love it to bits. But, I just can't. It hurts me to finally admit after so long that its not a good game. I know the devs sold themselves to RIOT so they could keep working on a larger scale on larger projects and make more of an impact but you could seriously tell that this game was a Passion of the developers when they were working on this. They have videos on YouTube from 9 years ago when they first started working on this and they worked on this so hard over the years only to abandon it so far into development. I started playing this game when it was in alpha 9 before multi story buildings were consistent to build and the building AI would fall over itself if you tried. And before even Rayya's Children were added. I still play the game to this day but I just cant recommend it in the state it is in at the price. If it was less than 10 I would say go for it but at nearly £16 its not worth it. While writing this I decided to watch the final desktop Tuesday they released simply titled "The End". And listening to the things that were being said about the game proved to me that the game was a passion for all the team from the beginning and that they loved making it. My only hope is that some day they will come back with a fresh passion and a larger team behind them to make the game I know this could have been.

RIOT GAMES BOUGHT THE DEVS OUT, AND HAD THEM STOP WORKING ON THE GAME The ace community mod is where you can find some updates, but the game isn't very optimized. tysvfm riot games for taking this unfinished gem from us IMO game is still worth it if you can get it on a sale

The first city builder I ever really played, and an excellent one to boot. The unique aspect of this city builder is that it is voxel-based as well as it's unique blueprint mechanic, allowing you to design your city the way you want it. This combined with the wholesome soundtrack accompanying it all made it a highly anticipated game with a lot of potential from some really hard-working developers who I honestly think will go far in their careers. Then Riot Games killed the game's official development in the bud. To those of you who are unawares of the fate of Radiant Entertainment, they were bought out by Riot Games in 2016, back when they had a semi-favourable reputation as publishers and developers. However, upon initial full release of Stonehearth in 2018 (with developers stating they would continue the addition of features mentioned of being included) Riot Games pulled the plug on all future development, with Radiant instead being conscripted into the League of Legends machine, with their second game Rising Thunder cancelled and so far have been left dormant since 2019. As a result, it seems as though this will be the first and last game this studio will ever produce. Then why the positive review? Did I really just write this just to give the middle finger to a studio? Well in some parts I'll admit, yes that had something to do with it, but in equal measure I constantly find myself coming back to this game to start up a new city and start all over again. Stonehearth is a city-builder that is truly unique and stands on its own compared to every other city builder. The unique graphical style, gameplay, and music DEAR GOD THE MUSIC. While each individually on their own are great (with the music being so exceptional I listen to it in my own time for the chill vibes) together they become much more than the sum of their parts. The blue-print tool also allows for endless versatility and architecture styles that leads to me coming back to try out a new play-style (with a personal favourite being the entirely underground Mole Men). Three factions and maps each with unique progression means that I've sunk 200 hours into this game without becoming bored in the slightest. Also, note how I said Riot shut down the "official" development. In one final gift to the community before being shut down, the devs of Radiant opened up mod support alongside the essential tools to continue on development in their stead. As a result, the development of the game has actually continued from where they left off with the Authorised Community Expansion (ACE) that is actively turning the game into what was promised in the Kickstarter and beyond. Not only that but the tools have lead to new factions, maps, resources and gameplay that means even as of writing, 5 years after release the game is getting new content and updates, which rivals some of the most long-lasting games. The game still supports a vibrant community of players who are happy to help out and share tips and tricks. So this is why I'm reccomending this game to you. Despite it's shortcomings, and things aligning to essential throw this in the bin of failed city-builders (of which there are many) this game has been able to endure with a satisfying gameplay loop and endless amounts of content that fosters a rather wholesome community. A diamond in the rough of a game that I would honestly suggest you try out if given the chance, and hope you make as many happy memories with it as I have.

To me, the 25$ was a bit steep for something that you could technically "accomplish" within 2 hours. I mean if you're into expanding and creating towns and furnishing the houses with the prettiest of flowers, you'll love it, but if you're like me with just striving to hit the top of the research chain/skill tree, it's a bit easy. I'd say you could compare this a little bit to Banished in some several yet different ways. Pros: -Easy to learn -Visually nice -Can design your own buildings -Nice mix of city builder/management -Some slightly unique concepts -Is playable in it's current state -Slow progression, but actually being updated Cons: -Bugs, lots of 'em. -Crashing is frequent (Until you update your drivers) -Occasionally slightly broken UI (F5 to fix) -Not fully complete job tree (yet) -Weird inventory viewing system All in all, I would reccomend this game. I did find it enjoyable for the 2 hours I played, but until more is added, I'll just wait patiently. Maybe a price drop would be nice as well.

I have played Stonehearth for 341 hours and have enjoyed playing through the developing stages. The game is becoming more polished and seems to be headed in a positive direction. I would recommend this to someone who enjoys a sandbox building and crafting games where they can design towns and villages with a little bit of hostile goblins thrown in to the mix. I do not recommend this yet for someone that is expecting a finished polished product or get upset when an error message pops up. The Good - I find the game extremely fun to play with the ability to design your own houses and structures. - The pace of the game is relaxing and the music is very soothing. - The Heathing are amusing as they try to carry out your commands - There are more creatures to worry about now as Giant Zombie, Stone Golems, Eants, and what looks like a mutant alligator roam the land. Undead Villages complete with crazed necromancers pop up and flood the night with undead critters. - The ability to create Mods will mean continued content. I hope that this also continues to develop end game content. - Weekly twitch feed keep you updated on developments and lets you give feed back to the developers. The Bad - There are still errors when trying to build structures, and it takes a while to learn what works and what does not. It seems the building logic really wants you to lay down your design in a certain way. I watched a twitch feed were the designer was working on this to allow the engine to be more flexible. - The Hearthling become idler as your town, village, Kingdom expands. I am unsure if this is caused by distance, memory issues or pathing (although sometime it’s because I ran out of wood). The developers have work hard and these issues have improved greatly since I started playing it. (I still have to chop my own wood of course) - The end game is not there yet. There is a basic scenario evolving Blood thirsty goblins which ends after 4 or 5 encounters. Following that you only have to fend off random creatures once or twice a day. I will continue to play and follow this game as it develops.

This is my very first review for any game, I just feel compelled to do it! My first impression of Stonehearth after watching their video wasn't good. This is my very first uh I don't know what to call it, 2D-pixel voxel game? Anyway, I was a bit turned off by it. I've always avoided minecraft for that reason. Also, the price of $24.99 for this type of game seemed a bit too much for me. Anyway, I spent a couple of weeks thinking about it, watched their intro video at least 4 times and finally caved and bought the game the other night. Stonehearth has been such a delight to play. I thoroughly enjoy the job/class and advancement systems. I love the cuteness that is the game, even the boxy critters and animals are adorable. Building your own homes can be quite a challenge, which adds to the fun for me. I also love being able to use a building template the game provides and customize it to my own preference if I'm too lazy to create my own. I love renaming my citizens! I love that I can assign them to their own beds! I love that the cook helps my farmer harvest the fields :D As you can see, I enjoy a lot of the little features in Stonehearth which is why I felt compelled to make this review and share my experience with others. If you enjoy survival/strategy city-builders with cute pets and citizens + job/class advancements, then I highly suggest this game to you. Imo, this is one of those games that's worth the price tag. I love what the developers have done with the game so far and I'm happy to support this early access title.

Alright I'm back to review this game again in May 2018. I've played it a bit for this review to see the new updates(which were the latest version, the so called unstable version). It's not alot that's been added in the almost 1 year that I stayed away from the game. They added the steam workshop just recently, the appeal system, weather system, new building system, coversation system and the new quest system(If I missed anything let me know and I'll add it in). This does seem like alot but it really doesn't feel like it. During my few playthroughs I felt that the gameplay didn't change much and infact slowed down a bit except when making new buildings. I think the biggest change for me was infact the building system, where after learning how to use it for a bit was indeed alot better than the old one so I'll give them a big plus for that. But all in all I feel that it's still too similar to how I left it and so I'd reccomend to everyone to wait for it to release(whenever that is). I am hopefu for the future, despite not reccomending it as it is, because they actually seem to be doing stuff now to actually get some more features in the game. I'll do another one whenever I feel like playing the game again since I've already lost intrest in playing it again, maybe next year? *****************Old Review June 2017*'****************** This game has the potential to be something great, a must have in any city builder/sandbox fan's library, but at it's current stage I can describe it as something that's as wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle. It also doesn't help that development on this game is incredibly slow and no major update has happened in a long while. If they however finish the game with all their original promises and fix all the bugs I'd reccomend this game in a heartbeat but as it stands I cannot reccomend this game unless you need a city builder/sandbox fix and are desperate.
