  All the reviews, videos and screen shots made this game sound like it was much more than it is. Its simply a poorly executed and built game... walk to circle, shoot one of a few dino models that either run or attack when engaged, kill. repeat. It's not a game as much as a chore, its not fun, and its not a product that should be sold in good faith in its current state.

  Prehistoric hunt is decent right now but it has alot of things that need to get improved such as the vegetation.The game has alot of potential.

  I loved the Carnivores hunting games, and this feels like a spiritual successor - I'm having a LOT of fun with it! The addition of tents to sleep through night cycles and the helicopter pick up points has made the game play a lot less of a grind. Once you get the hang of things, this game is absolutely fun; lots of stealth, lots of exploration, a few jumpscares here and there, and the dinosaur models and sound effects are really good. My suggestions as far as additions: -more dinosaur species (that's always a given in any dino game) -a narrated training mission to start off and further explain how to use items and weapons, pointing you towards the next mission(s) in line and continuing that trend. Especially when it comes to the camouflage netting and the callers! -addition of an ATV or similar open vehicle, for faster movement BUT also added danger! -a visual depiction of each dinosaur's weak points added to the dino information screen, and an option to hear that dinosaur's different calls as well! -more points of interest to explore across the map, and added benefits to exploring!

  A glorious disaster., What can I say. Graphics - pretty awful. 2005ish Directional Audio - Horrid UI - Terrible Movement - The worst I've played in decades Yet....When walking around...you hear the thump.......it gets louder.....directional audio is horrid so you have no clue where it's coming from....you heart starts to race....is it a Vegesaurus?? Is it a T-Rex?? Now a days you spend 20 bucks on a new release movie hoping it will entertain you.....and it's over after an hour and a half or so. I wish this game was more around 10 bucks.......but so far, even with all of the awfulness....did I have fun? Remarkably...YES. I did. Was it worth the 20? Well i've wasted 20 on flop movies so I'd say yes. I assume there will be updates and i can only improve right? There will be more fun to have especially when they make some improvements. Happy hunting all.

  Obviously this is in early development, but the game looks very promising indeed. The developers are always updating and welcome feedback from testing, so that speaks volumes in itself. Already a thoroughly enjoyable game. Would love to see the addition of vehicles...

  I wish that there was a "neutral" or "meh" sort of option that I could give this game in terms of reviews. I understand that we're pretty hard-pressed with having any sort of dinosaur hunting game worth its salt. The pickings have been thin since some of the OGs have come and left us. Is this game worth $10? Well, yeah; I suppose it is. It's not terrible, but it's nothing remarkable either. I'm not going to leave some deadbrain review of "hurhur me shoot dinosaur, game gud" because that doesn't really do it any justice. We're here to give some honest critique. At a first glance, the game is "okay" to look at. Lots of grass. Big trees. Big rocks. Very hilly and very unforgiving in terms of long range reconnaissance and general scouting. The grass is tall enough in around 80% of the map to ensure that if you crouch, the vast majority of your reticle is vegetation, leaving you with virtually no sight picture. Thankfully, the developers were generous enough to counteract this fact by making it so that there is no aim difference/difficulty between crouching and standing. While I'm sure that wasn't intentional, I'm just going to pretend it was. While I haven't encountered any game-breaking issues, I have been confronted with some in-game dilemmas that left me.. less than pleased. For starters, I'm not exactly sure who is tracking *who* in this game? I may be the hunter, but I surely don't feel like one most of the time. I mean sure, there's tracking? But the tracking system is mediocre *at best*. Dino-pathing is less than predictable. The true issue is that for some reason, dinosaurs seem to magnetize toward my character once I am in a range where I can hear their footsteps, which for some dinosaurs, is quite far away. Do I have a geo-tag implanted in my buttcheek that I wasn't made aware of? Why are the dinosaurs utilizing it? Dinosaurs will either laser-beam spot you from wild distances, or will (for reasons unbeknownst to me) automatically adjust their course of direction to walk STRAIGHT TOWARD YOU regardless of how stealthy you are attempting to be. For big carnivores, this is a massive headache. A natural course of action would be to hide, no? Perhaps crouch in a bush, or position yourself on the opposing side of a large tree to get out of line of sight? Well, you see, dinosaurs don't really care about "stealth" in this game, as that whole MAGNET thing kind of debunks the whole strategy. Kind of hard to hide from a Rex when his now-adjusted path is determined to use you as an ottoman (a footstool). Aggro is based on proximity, NOT sight. But the tree?! Surely you could use that as cover for detection and what-not?! (As so hilariously demonstrated with the in-game's concept art)..YOU MAY NOT. To my misfortune, a Giganotosaurus magnetized to me while I was hiding behind a tree. Inevitably, he detected me. In my head, I'm like, "Alright, I'm just gonna try to square-dance around this tree, using my superior agility to slam-fire body shots into the side of this menace. He'll have to take wide, clunky turns to try and nibble on me" Much to my detriment, the Giga had other plans. You see, he was more like: "Why would I waste my time running around this tree when I can just CRAM MY BIG FAT HEAD straight through this tree model and bite you on the other side?" Not only can these dinosaurs auto-track me, but their patron deity apparently gave them the ability to ignore f*#king physics. The cherry-on-top with all of this, is not only do they murder me in cold blood (huehue), but they also mug me for my lunch money. I don't know why these dinosaurs need my money, but it's probably to fund their psychic hunter-tracking operations. Absurd and abusive. I feel oppressed. Speaking of absurd, the price tags on everything in this game are incomprehensible. Dinosaurs are worth very little monetarily and shop items are suffering from the worst case of inflation I've ever encountered. When you take into account that *all* dinosaurs are damage-sponges, these issues compound upon one another. Vital organ hits *rarely* guarantee a kill. I feel less like a hunter and more like a deranged cowboy, fired up on cocaine with how I have to rail off multiple shots at anything I want to take down. Even something as trivial as a Gallimimus will shrug off the fact I punctured both of its lungs with a rifle round, saunter/panic off around 100 meters away and then, for some reason, forget it was shot in the first place. It doesn't bleed out and die for some reason, thus, I must fire again. Some dinosaurs you can matador-style dance around when they're actively trying to mug you. It's something I'm thankful for, but also further distances us from the whole "hunting" aspect of the game. There's no real clean, satisfying, one-tap kills in this game. (Unless you want to grind for 50+ hours to get the .50 cal, which may do the job for some, but doubtfully all) Isn't that the point of hunting and hunting games? Clean and precise shots? It just feels so unrewarding. Then they further piss on my parade by giving me sweatshop salary on top of it. My guy should just give up on being a dinosaur hunter and go work at a gas station or something. He'd probably earn a more sustainable living that way. The game is "meh" at best. Is it more fun with fellow cowboys by your side? Probably, I haven't tried yet. Do I want this game to improve and succeed? Absolutely. Is this a hunting game? F*#k no. More like castaway cowboy finds himself stuck on an island in the Cretaceous period. The bar is low right now, Devs, you can do better than this.

  My brother and I have played this game for several hours and we believe we've had enough. Crouching and hiding does absolutely nothing because dinosaurs from across the area will still find us, regardless if we put on camouflage nets AND crouch, so they're virtually useless. Stamina runs out too quickly and takes forever to come back, and the power of the Revolver is stronger than any other basic rifle with higher strength and the same level of penetration, and even after finishing contracts upon contracts upon contracts, we still can't even afford the .700 rifle or the 50 cal. I just bought a tranquilizer gun and tested it out and now I realize that it's also utterly useless unless you have a contract to capture a dinosaur which will only show up by chance. Dinosaurs like the T-Rex, Giga, Spino, and Carno will end up running across the map chasing after Galimimus, making it an utter hassle to track them down, and when they're close by, the stomping sound completely surrounds you instead of coming from any specific area, so the dinosaur is right in your face before you even know which direction it's even coming from, and by then you're already dead. It was fun for a new experience, but we just keep running into several issues one after another. It certainly has potential because of the variety of dinosaurs it has and the map itself is huge, but with issues of running out of stamina, constantly dying, able to take on any dino with just a revolver, and the utter lack of reward of maybe 50 coins for even killing rexes or gigas when a .700 rifle costs near 10k, is just not worth the trouble. If you're lucky you will come across missions that offer closer to 200 coins, but that's it.
