  Played for eleven minutes, *apparently* finished the game (which itself was confusing, as I had to click "new game" to continue with what I had already done after downloading the second part). Only two actual s*x scenes, the rest is just teasing. There's a couple scenes where the girls are unabashedly offering themselves to your character (no joke: "I'm serious, use me however you want." types of offerings) and you have no choices to pick from - as your character will refuse any pu**y that's not their girlfriends'. (Not something I'd normally have a problem with, except that's not what I was looking for - or thought I was going to find - when I bought Red Falls.) Should be called "Teasing Falls" as that describes most of what happens between your character and the women in-game. I'd recommend City of Broken Dreamers or Love Season over this, mainly because of the lack of actual, full on, sexual content here - compared to the other two, which even give you the option of choosing which girls you want to hookup with. I wish I didn't feel this way, too, because the graphics are rather awesome, and the premise a solid one to start an adventure from - again, there's just not enough times, or even options for the player to decide, for the MC to get any (besides their girlfriend at the start, and IIRC, even that's not an option... not that I'd refuse it, tbh). Anyway, until there's more content and/ or choices of what you can do with the ladies in-game, I can't recommend it over (or, really even in addition too) City of Broken Dreamers or Love Season.

As of this review it is currently at episode five of eight. The new episodes, judging from previous updates, are about two to three months. [h1]Story[/h1] You, main character name customizable, are just finishing up college when your girlfriend returns from an internship at a mental health facility. Unfortunately you only have one night together before Paul (your father?) calls you and tells you that you need to get on a bus the next morning and return to Red Falls, a juvenile camp for troubled youth. Normal it means a bunch of "bad boys" from the city are forced to come out to the country. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] My biggest complaint is about the opening sequence. You don't have access to the options unless you press the F1 key, something completely hidden from you, so you have to suffer with a windowed game until you get past the introduction. Once you're past the introduction you will have access to the options via the main menu. The characters, with the exception of Paul and the main character, are all female. You are able to set the relationship of the female characters who live in the house and run the camp. Some kind of family unit makes the best sense. Emily looks to be slightly younger than you, Kiara looks to be slightly older than you, and Eve is the motherly figure. The inmates are Belle who runs a fan site, Stacy a member of a cult that worships fire, Violet a sporty girl who does daily yoga, and Naomi a girl of means. There are about 54 decision paths in the game right now, so not too many and not too few. Not all of the decisions will have a great affect on the game, just change some minor sub plot items. The game has places where you can view an image, or scene, from a number of different angles. Most of them don't add much. Currently there aren't a lot of scenes, but there are enough to keep you interested. A lot of the beginning is story building and scantily dressed girls. [h1]The Gallery[/h1] There is currently not a Gallery option, however there are plenty of same game slots for you to save your favorite scenes. [h1]Final Verdict[/h1] I recommend this game. The updates seem to come regularly and the story is really starting to pick up.   This game is pretty, but also pretty rough, especially in the story department. First, needs music and sound, especially in the lewd scenes. Got tricked by songs playing in the trailer, and load screen, or would not have bought it. Second, relationship naming tool doesn't work, or it doesn't work like those used in other games, that flag names and unlock scripts for Mom/son, or Brother/Sister. There is no defined backstory or relationships for the house staff, which engages the player much less in the story, and lowers the stakes for events that occur. Third, Why NTR with Eve and step-douche? Is Eve going to be a love interest or not? Her dialogue, and actions, suggests she will. If that is the case the NTR and lovey Dovey with her and the step-douche should not exist. Fourth, Why is the Main Character a spineless Sub? I don't like super creepy MCs in these games, but I like sissy boys even less. MC needs to grow a pair and stop being a doormat to everyone, especially step-douche. That dude needs a kick to the daddy bags really, really bad. Don't like Douchey dudes who serve no purpose other than being a douche. To sum up. Renders and animations are pretty good, but desperately need sound and music. Story is all over the place right now, and is not very compelling, due to lack of backstory, and the most interesting characters getting way too few interactions. I'm talking about the sisters, if the relationship tool actually worked. Choices don't seem to matter much right now, and it would have been really nice to be able to build a relationship with the different girls, so that Stacy was not the only option for the one decent lewd scene in the game so far. Violet would have been much better. Game has potential to be much better, and if this stuff gets addressed, I will edit my review.

  This is quite good. The story isn't deep, but it is a bit of a departure from the typical college-based fun. Gorgeous art/renderings, and interesting enough story, with a protagonist who isn't a complete unethical moron. This one is in the top 1/3 of all AVNs, and should satisfy both the storytelling and sexual/sensual cravings of its viewers. My consistent bone to pick with most AVN is the incompleteness. Yes, you get a full story, but then get an abrupt "to be continued." When on ichio, I expect this, but not on Steam. I want a full complete game/story when I buy something on Steam. That said, at least I will be waiting patiently for the next chapter. Cheers!

  [h1]Updated to reflect "Helping the Hotties" update[/h1] The update appears to have changed very little, and not for the better. The intro's still a lengthy drag with some unearned nudity thrown at you, and is pain to skip through. The game now gives you the option of skipping both the free-roam interface and a load of unfair broken mini-games. The former just goes to show how superfluous the free-roam interactivity was; the minigames seem arbitrary and bolted-on for no reason. The graphics seem to have all had a polish-up, but those weren't the problem of the game to start with. Still one to avoid. The entirety of the plot is on-the-rails and totally skippable, so no meaingful interactivity. [h1]Red Falls review below[/h1] A very incomplete and brief (2.5 hours to play through to current end) episodic RenPy VN with nothing to recommend it above its competitors. [h1]The gameplay is immediately familiar to anyone who has played comparable titles[/h1] It uses the same free-roam you see in games like [i]Welcome To Free Will[/i]; [i]Amnesia[/i]; [i]Bad Memories[/i]; [i]MILFs of Sunville[/i]; [i]Lust Theory[/i]; etc, etc. Like those games, it's incredibly under-developed and under-utilised - offering no substantial interactivity or control over more traditional VNs. It's one of the more linear examples: Not as bad as [i]Lust Theory[/i], although equally brief and even more unsatisfying. It makes all of the same mistakes as other games of this type: The animated sex-scenes and random nudity thrown at you straight out of the gate without establishing any narrative behind them just to go "look, here's some thoroughly average CG porn!" that fall completely flat and skipable. The lack of thought into how to make the Season satisfying whilst still being part of a multi-act narrative structure. The same bland protagonist who can't help *chuckle*ing to himself like the Joker at every inane comment he wryly makes. The same weak plotting that denies you significant amounts of player agency. It even manages to flub the bread-and-butter "two sisters and a MILF" core household framework – custom relationships seem to have been dropped from the product at some recent point in the development, with no incest-enabling patch apparently available to restore the now largely nonsensical setup. It also bizarrely chooses to remove inline narration in favour of actually treating it as coming from a character called Narrator - which really breaks up the flow of dialogue in a jarring way. [h1]The game squanders its promising setting and premise[/h1] The setup has plenty of potential, but the game doesn't seem particularly interested in doing anything with it. Coercing and manipulating vulnerable patients in your care, who are effectively trapped in an emotional wrought situation, is ripe for emotional drama. The game doesn't seem interested in pursuing this. The whole thing feels sparse, threadbare, and under-developed. Like the dev was more interested in letting you view the gals from multiple angles every thirty seconds than actually including interesting gameplay or getting on with interesting plotting. [h1]The sex scenes are boring[/h1] As usual for this sort of derivative VN, they're underwritten and perfunctory. On top of the bland characters and story-telling, they're completely disposable and not particularly sexy. [h1]Everything about the title screams mediocrity[/h1] The art's fine, as is the character design - but they're both bland standard middle-of-the-pack fare. The dialogue is fine, presumably written (or translated) by a native speaker given some of the colloquialisms that slip in; but it's all very weak and insubstantial. The plotting's threadbare, and doesn't go anywhere - the game's terrible at establishing any sense of stakes or drama. It's slightly better than the worst offenders, although just barely. Yeah the free-roam sections and presentation make it better than amateurish titles like [i]Picture Perfect[/i] - but not in substantial ways that would make it seem less like shovelware or a scam. [h1]The game's a waste of money in its current state[/h1] It's too incomplete, too unsatisfying, too disengaging, and too unoriginal. Its consolidated setting provides a more coherent story than alternatives such as [i]Come Home[/i] or [i]Welcome to Free Will[/i] – but those offer the same amount of play time for free, and the latter is of much higher quality in every other respect. [h1]Episodic releases like this come across as scams[/h1] [i]Sisterly Lust[/i] manages to get a satisfying and complete story with a beginning, middle, and an end into six hours at a reasonable price without resorting to selling the game in overpriced mini-chunks. [i]Come Home[/i] and [i]Welcome to Free Will[/i] give away more opening content than this game currently has for free. Even the deeply disappointing [i]College Kings[/i] gave away its first act before it started milking its customers for unsatisfying and inconclusive DLC; ditto for the amateurish [i]College Bound[/i]. So whenever you see an Early Access title asking a substantial upfront fee with the expectation that you're going to have to buy god knows how many more chunks of the game to get any value out of it – well it just comes across as fishy. Do you trust the dev to come up with another four-to-six hours of content for this season with no extra charge? Or do you think he's going to use sunk-cost-fallacy to make you buy 2 hours of Season 2, and then another 2 hours of Season 3, and then so on and so on? Because bitter experience and common sense will tell you it's gonna be the latter.

  Helping the Hotties (HtH) is a NSFW visual novel game that tells the story of a young man who has to go to a juvenile camp full of horny women in order to… help them? The premise is weird, but you are here for the NSFW so don’t question it. Be aware that this game is for heterosexual males and has a lot of female nudity.

  Questions you might have if you're interested in playing it:

  <*>What is it exactly that you do in the game? It’s a visual novel where you click on stuff, read dialogue, make decisions over random choices that can sometimes pop-out on the screen, explore locations and chat with NPCs in order to progress the story… and you obviously watch short nsfw slideshows. <*> Will it make my eyes bleed? The backgrounds are kind of generic and a bit bland, but the character models look so good. The textures and the clothes are so well done and the faces look great. The NSFW bits are smooth animated loops of 3 or 4 seconds with great jiggle physics. Something that I really like is that HtH gives you the option of changing the camera angle, this is something unique from this game that I wish to see more on other games. Fantastic <*>Does it have a good story? From what I experienced, it’s your cliché porn movie premise. The characters are kind of bland, but again, you are here for the NSFW. <*>Does it have a good soundtrack? It's fine. What matters for a good soundtrack of a game is to enhance the gameplay and the story. The OST for this game kind of does that, but not particularly well. The best thing that I can say about it is that it didn’t annoy me but I don’t like it. Again it’s fine. <*>Does it have replay value? HtH has a gallery for collecting NSFW videos, secret scenes and multiple endings. I spent 6 hours on this game but I could have spent another 6 hours to unlock more scenes and endings if I wished to do so. <*>Does it run well? It was way too unstable. On my first playthrough the game crashed a lot but after reinstalling it, it worked just fine. HtH has some input lag which is weird, sometimes if you press fast the skip button, the game queues the actions and even when you stop, the game keeps skipping. I’m aware that HtH is an early access game but if you decide to pick this game up, be aware that you may experience some technical issues. <*>Is it fun? For the amount of hours that I got from the game, it was fun enough.

  Is this game worth my hard earned money?

  In its current state… not quite, wait for more patches. I love how the devs made this game so accessible and fun to play. And the NSFW scenes are great. I particularly love how the very first scene of the game has voice acting and I wish, when this game comes out of early access, the rest of the scenes have voice acting too. I talked with 2 friends that also own this game and they didn’t experience any issues with it, but I have to be honest and I can only review what I play so I can’t fully recommend this game in its current state but I like the potential that it has. Wait for a sale. Rating: 6/10 Great NSFW game, has some performance issues.

  I prefer the previous version, rather than this new iteration. The developers have lost the plot! Why not expand on the previous version's successes? Why try to reinvent the wheel? IMO the new name is entirely inappropriate. A slight variation of the Red Falls name would have been more suitable.
