  Perfection. From the very first 5 minutes of playing this I knew this was going to be great. And great it was, all the way to the end. Even though the game demands a lot of concentration and patience, I could've played this for hours end. While the gameplay is basically perfect, it also helps that the graphics are gorgeous. The levels are huge and packed with details. Sometimes I found myself just scrolling around, looking at the environments and the people who live in it. It's so much fun just looking at the screen and thinking about your next move, like it was a game of chess. Thanks to save scumming being an important feature of the game, it's easy to try and fail many times without getting bothered by it. A very welcoming QOL feature I loved was fast forward which allows you to quickly go through enemy's routine without having to wait in real time. Weirdly enough, although I played their previous game, Shadow Tactics, I did not get to the end. Not sure if I just like the western setting more or was it the comic book style of Shadow Tactics versus the realistic one in Desperados. In any case, I'll be sure to play it again asap because I need my real time tactics fix. Thank you Mimimi for reviving this dead genre which I was fond of ever since I played the first Commandos and then actually making it 10x better. Can't wait for your newly announced IP.

  this game may not be for everyone , watch some gameplays before buy . its a slow paced strategy game , type of a game you play during cold winter evenings , nothing to rush ...pour some tea take your time play again when the mood comes. i love it

  Okay this is a weird situation. I personally don't like this game all that much, but I do still recommend it nonetheless. That's because despite me not being personally huge on it, I can't deny that it is a very well-crafted game that definitely will give people the experience they want if this is the type of game they're looking for. I, turns out, am not part of the crowd that is targeted for said experience. I just found the whole trial and error stealth RTS style of this game to just not be my cup of tea, but again I can't deny its very well-crafted. I also think the art style and voice acting and story are all very well done as well. So yeah, if you're fond of games of this type, then go for it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I, for one, don't think I'm entirely sold on it though.

  Wow! What a ride! Loving these games by Mimimi developers so much! I played "Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun", and immediately moved on to "Aiko's Choice". Then, straight to "Desperados III". Such engaging storylines and the gameplay is what is best! Many ways to complete each mission, many ways to solve problems using the characters and their abilities! To the Mimimi developers, please, please make more games like these! You already have an awesome formula here! So go for more! Desperados IV, Shadow Tactics 2 or other themes with new storyline!

  If you like Commandos-clones, this is one of the best and well worth getting. However and this is a big one, if Commandos 2 is peak gameplay of the genre for you, you might get frustrated quite a lot when playing this. Commandos 2 really gave you a lot of options, any character could distract or knock out enemies, find universal items and so on. There was always multiple approaches to a problem. Desperados 3 however often feels like a puzzle game. That is not to say that you cannot try different things, but usually there is an optimal way do a level and anything else is trial and error. Characters are very specialized so don't expect to be luring enemies to remote locations and dispatching them left and right. The game relies heavily on coordinating you teams efforts especially in the later levels. Another problem is that Depserados 3 is really hard, even on normal difficulty. There are 3 enemy types. Normal cowboys, ponchos and long coats. Normal cowboys can be distracted and killed by anything in your arsenal. Ponchos cannot be distracted, unless by Kate, but she can not lure them away. Unless the enemy is female, in which case none of her charm works. Long coats on the other hand are a real pain. Only Hector can kill them with one hit or knock them out. The rest will die if trying to take them out, unless you shoot them first and guns in this game... well let's just say they aren't the best idea. After the early levels pretty much the whole map is covered in alarm zones, trigger an alarm and patrols start comming your way. You can fight of course, but ammo is limited and using guns... has a cooldown on them like every skill. The original Desperados allowed for broad use of guns, it's a western setting after all, but here it's more of a last resort or something that you need to plan carefully. It's basically "total stealth is optional", but it's the easiest option. Add to that the fact that the levels are very tightly crafted, so for every enemy you want to take out, there's likely 3 more watching them and don't expect to abuse the dark green area of their vision, the kills take long enough for them to notice. The final part of the last mission is just bullshit and I had look up a guide, cause after 30 minutes of failing, I had enough and what you need to do is really a very tight puzzle. I won't spoil anything, but looking at the achievements, less than 24% of players have finished the game. It's worth mentioning also that the game has quite a lot of replay value, as almost each completed mission gives you a bonus challenge mission and there is also a cheat mode that can act as a mission editor and if the already high challenge level of the game isn't enough for you, there is a hard mode and you can always replay levels to earn additional badges. TL;DR Great game, but quite hard and not for the impatient. I think they made this specifically with fans of the genre in mind.
