  This DLC is very hard to recommend. Basically, unless you're a fan of Claas this DLC will for the most part be a complete waste of money, unless of course you just want another brand in the game just to have another brand. Don't get me wrong, I like Claas and IRL their machines - especially their combines - are generally considered some of the best you can get. But in terms of the game, this DLC is severely lacking and effectively only adds Claas branded versions of machines that are already present in the game There are no new crops, there is no new map, there is no new gameplay whatsoever. This DLC should've rightfully been called "Claas DLC" because that's what it is. There is nothing to justify the platinum in the name, especially when you compare it to the platinum expansions for the previous games. [b]What you actually get:[/b] - Almost every medium/small to large tractor Claas makes from the smallest Arion, over the Axion, to the big Xerion (that means 5 tractors in engine sizes from 90 to 530 hp) - Two Claas combines (Tucano 580 and Lexion 8900 - the 8900 is just a tad bigger than the Agco combine in the base game, but only has a 12.3 meter header because Giants) - Two silage trailers and a loader wagon - Three different size wheel loaders (though the smallest is classed as a front loader and the middle one a bit on the weak side and of limited use) - 1 version of the Scorpion telehandler - Two versions of the Jaguar 900 series forage harvesters (one is the tracked prototype Claas has showed off at various farming shows the last few years) - Roundbaler w. wrapper and a square baler - A set of ordinary 10 meter front+butterfly mowers - And 3 adjustable weights - from 600 to 2800 kg - And if you preordered the DLC you also get a Dominator combine (which Giants clearly ripped off from the identical mod) and an alternative skin for the big wheel-loader. - Unusually it includes header trailers for basically all the headers, which Giants have never bothered to do before and is desperately lacking for every single combine in the game. And the headers actually align themselves properly to the trailers. [b]What you don't get:[/b] The DLC does not contain any actual tools whatsoever apart from the mowers, not even a tedder or windrower (which Claas makes). But the most obvious thing that's missing: There is not a single tool designed for the Xerion (neither in the game nor in this DLC). - The DLC includes the Xerion VC (with the rotating cab and reverse drive), but none of the many types of machinery that are made to take advantage of this tractor's unique design, which typically is large slurry and manure spreaders, and specially made sowers and a few others things that are made specifically for this tractor. This an even more serious offense because these are all made by companies Giants already have a license for and are otherwise represented in the game. --- Don't get me wrong, you can use the Xerion as you would any other tractor, but the whole point of this very expensive and powerful piece of equipment is that it can do more than just be another tractor. Without the equipment specially designed for it, it becomes a bit pointless in the game because it's just another tractor and you won't be able to fully utilize it the way it was designed. Everything does however work very well. It's just hard not to feel like "where's the rest?" [b]Technical stuff:[/b] All the models look very good and are highly detailed, and include animated fans, axles, rollers, plungers, etc, as well as dynamic hoses on everything - though the trailers are missing air hoses for the brakes and electrical cables for the lights. But thanks to the game's poor performing engine, these details only add to its already unstable framerate. Several of the machines, especially the harvesters, have extra light groups that are not connected to any controls because the game only supports headlights, front worklights, and rear worklights (the engine supports more, but the game as is doesn't gracefully support it). So because these extra lights aren't and can't be bound to any controls, you HAVE to cycle through all the light modes to turn everything on - which is extremely unrealistic and annoying. The Lexion combine has a texture error in the grain bunker which appear to be a failure to load the texture/fx for the vertical auger (something that doesn't exist on other combines in the game), but for most crops that I've tried it seems to fix itself if the bunker is completely filled and then completely emptied. Unfortunately this falls in the "visual" category, which means Giants aren't likely to want to fix it, no matter how terrible it looks. Both the Lexion and the Xerion also have an odd bug where any towed equipment attached to the rear hitch pin will randomly slide sideways when they're stopped. Which, if they're left long enough, will cause the whole machine to spin around until it hits something.

  First thing first, this DLC is called the “Platinum Expansion” and not, let me repeat NOT called the ‘Claas DLC’. Now keep that in mind if you’re reading this. This DLC should’ve been called the ‘Claas DLC’ and sell for £15 like the other branded dlcs. It should not of been called the “Platinum Expansion” under any circumstance. In all other Gold/Platinum Expansions for previous Farming simulator games have contained a new environment/map but still cost the same amount as this new DLC that has just released which at the time of writing in £20 which means we’re paying more for less content. Only purchase if you’re desperate to get Claas in your game and I’d recommend you wait for a steam sale to come around but hey that’s your Choice

  hi all, this platinum addition for FS19 is amazing. however, €19,99 is too much for this expansion. the vehicles you get are great but there aren't much of them, you don't get a new map and it doesn't feel complete enough for me. don't know what's missing, but it is something. i would still want to play it though, i am going to keep playing it. if i were you, i would wait for a discount or something. unless you are a hardcore Claas fan ofcourse. this is just my opinion, someone else will have a different one. but i am glad i can share this with you guys. have a great day all!

  - Should not be priced at £17.99, an utter joke it’s like paying for the whole game again for the extra content - Shouln’t be called the platinum expansion which it is just the Claas DLC, totally misleading I like the content but negative review due to high price and mis-leading advertisements

  Not even a new map, like really? You could of thrown in a featured community made map or something... Come on Giants... Having Claas in the game is nice though. I just couldn't recommend for the price.

  Base game is amazing ! But sadly this so called "Platinum Expansion" Isn't worth the money they want for it. Basic models with claas skins on. You can tell Giants are in it for the money rather then the quality. Modded versions of the claas stuff is players passion to build good mods with insane detail on it. Some of these guys mods should be payed for DLC IMO!. All in all save your money guys and download mods you will get a better experience overall and save yourself money

  this should have been the class dlc not your platinum expansion, in the other farm sim games the platinum expansion gave us a map and a new crop. this is just a vehicle pack... and its NOT worth $20. if it wasnt for the modders this series would die. this is kinda like bethesda a couple years ago and i hope giants doesnt make that same mistake.

  Very expensive for very little content. A now common trend on all DLC/ expansions. To call this an 'expansion' is misleading it adds very little for it to be considered what i would call an expansion.

  A... rather disappointing DLC, all considered. Firstly, this is a Claas brand equipment pack only, no additional content such as a map and/or crops present. Equipment pack which is, I might add, almost completely redundant. Well, save maybe for the big bad Lexion combine harvester, which I was really looking forward to use on my fields. Which brings me to the second gripe I've got with this DLC: eye watering lack of quality. The harvester might have a new sound pack and shiny decals, but there are some graphical glitches, especially in the tip up grain hopper, where the grain does not line up with the container and the "auger fountain" shows a different type of grain to the one being harvested. I've seen unpaid mods of much higher quality than this pile of garbage. Avoid.
