  This is a mixed bag for me. Yes it is fun, for the first few games, but pretty much, its the same cycle over and over again. No real strategy involved. Build units, send them over and take over each circle. I normally don't mind this type of game, but the AI cheats SO bad. I understand you have to give some advantage to the AI, but not at these ridiculous levels. In my opinion, when games do this, it ruins the gameplay and the fun altogether.

  i downloaded the game on game jolt 2 years ago from that version to this one.... not much has changed... try the free version first before buying this. compared to the free vesrion: +better graphics +achievments +faction +new bosses +new units +better engine (runs better...??) ((been 2 years can't recall)) ------ on the minus side, THE GAME hasnt changed that much to be wort buying on steam, there are issues that should be fixed, for example when you double click a unit, it selects all -BATTLE type units: ranged/mellee it should be changed to unit type instead: vampire, guard, archer, zombie. would make the strategist part WAYY easier, also more ways to lvl up a unit, for example xp potion -> expensive, probably needs laboratory for it, but it gets the job DONE or at least a way to put training dummies in, for an indie game to change to full-fledged game this is NOT enough as the game is now don't buy it. please feel free to prove me wrong on some of my points...

  [b][i]Circle Empires[/i] almost verges on being a bit too lite in several ways, but it's fun enough and the price point is fair.[/b] This plays like a clicker/mobile version of [i]Age of Empires[/i], but in a good way. The metagame progress really saves the whole thing by creating serious replay value. I'm not really sure what else to say about this one. [i]Essentially, you can set up the game however you'd like.[/i] You choose your starting clan which give you specific buffs. You choose out of three modes of gameplay (find and kill the enemy, rule the entire map, or more aggressive enemies). You can also choose a specific villian. There are achievements tied to all of this, which also helps replayability. You really only need the mouse to play. All of the standard RTS mechanics are present. This is best played in short bursts. [b]Pros:[/b] +Cute little game that has a 'one more go' addictiveness going on +Simple to learn and best played in short sessions +Metagame unlocks and Achievements add a good bit of replayability [b]Cons:[/b] -Not all that fresh, really -I'm still on the fence regarding the difficulty curve; it feels too easy so far and I'm on 5/6 on the difficulty choice -Now I almost never say this - but this game could really use some multiplayer, even if it was just local [b]Seeing that this title was on the best seller list makes me think it gets a bit more credit than it should, but overall I think it's fun enough to merit the small asking price.[/b]

  Just like my empire, this game has room to grow. More units, buildings, balance, items, customization, and multiplayer would be appreciated. I love the building of an empire and getting a sizebly larger army to snowball through the map.

  [h1]Easy-playing simplified fantasy RTS[/h1] Gather resources, spawn armies, win a playthrough (10-30 mins depends on game mode and settings), and unlock more stuffs (bosses, characters, units), repeat till you unlock all. AI is a bit too simple in general but overall enjoyable and relaxing.

  Started playing, decided that knights, wizards and fancy monsters are all too decadant. NO MORE SHALL THE WORKERS OF THIS EMPIRE BE SHACKLED TO THE MACHINE OF MAGIC Started making workers, LOTS of workers. also build up walls gates drop hundreds of workers rush forward in sight that would inspire awe in stalin himself tl:dr staged a communist rebellion in a mideval fantasy world 10/10 would rise up with pitchforks again.

  This review is going to be negative but overall im pretty conflicted on the game.(This is my first review so forgive me if I do anything stupid) My biggest problem with this game is that I finished pretty much everything in under 2 hours, I believe this game is in dire need of some affordable or free content add on that adds some kind of reptitive incentive other than the half baked treasure system. Some possibilties I believe would be helpful are multiplayer or some kind of unit upgrade system. On the bright side I think that this game is at a fair price and the artwork has been improved on from the previous gamejolt version.

  No idea if the devs are still listening but the thing I immediately felt was missing was a pause button. This is not due to the difficulty of the game, in fact my first game I played on hard, large map, imperial conquest and found it a bit underwhelming in difficulty. I wished for the ability to pause, (Without a menu over the screen) because I felt like I was missing out on the magic that was quite possibly a great game. I wanted to pause and organize my troops, read all the tooltips, learn the build menus, set up my troops into different squads to really get that RTS feel. Instead It just felt hectic and rushed. I beat an entire map by spamming axe throwers a few towers, and guards if invaded. Never upgraded anything as I never really knew what was going on as I felt like I couldn't "pause" to take a breath. Overall the game could be harder.

  Looks much more impressive than it actually is. I like the art and there are other positives to the game but the main problem is that it is super shallow and boring after a only few times played. You essentially gather resources, create troops, capture other circles. The only problem is: that is LITERALLY it. There is no real strategy or skill required, it's just about creating a large army, clicking on another circle, watching the fight happen, then repeats with new circle. You can imagine this gets boring quickly. It looked promising but end of the day there is just not enough to do.
