  Hiya Devs. I've been homeless on multiple occasions from periods lasting a few weeks, to a max of 8 months, including surviving through 2 winters. (I'm not any longer, currently.) I've played the game a number of times so far, and while I enjoy the premise, and the gameplay, I find the biggest challenge is the lack of a minimap. Even while not having a place to live, I still maintained having a phone for social media (because having someone to talk to, even strangers online, is good for staying out of your own head), keeping in contact with relatives, and a map program specifically for surviving in new areas where I didn't know what options were around me. Most of the homeless I've known over the years, also keep a phone for those same reasons. For those of us who earnestly struggle to get back on our feet, and back to a place of success however we measure it, having the ability to plan based on knowing what shops are in our surroundings is pretty necessary. Just my two cents.

  This game is a real slap in the face if you don't know anything about the homeless. It gives you an idea of what they endure on a daily basis. Although I think the game is quite a bit easier than real life, I know because I was homeless at one point in my life. I got lucky and had friends and found a job not long after it happened. As far as the game goes, it is very repetitive at times. It is still early access so it does have a few bugs, but they aren't deal breakers. I came across a sound bug that was annoying but fixed with a restart. Certain npc's don't seem to act correctly yet either(except the cop....he works CONSTANTLY!). The thing I like is your traits carry over to your next game. Unfortunately your items do NOT. The following may be a bit of a spoiler alert so do not read on unless you want help or are having trouble surviving. **SPOILERS AHEAD** 1. The dog costs about 3-4 dollars every 2-3 days or so. He does help out quite a bit so he is worth having!! 2. Recycle,Recycle,Recycle....you're walking past it anyway, might as well pick it up, but dont go out of your way. 3. Libraries are KEY to a good job! Study OFTEN! 4.If your happiness is in the dumps, beg until you can buy beer or smokes but don't stay on em!! Once you get bars in the game this is easier. Drink in the morning so you can find a bench and sleep it off before you need shelter. Only do 2 or 3 or enough to get your happy over 40 so you can study again. Don't worry about the loss by not continuing to drink or smoke for 3 days. Lose the habit ;) 5.Once you hit 25 or so study, hit the job office once a day. Job requirements change daily(well they did for me) 6.Feed yourself AND the dog(if you have him). There is an auto eat lowest food option, I didn't use it but it may be a smart thing. 7. Try to stay close to your shelter till residency! Then get a bus pass!! This makes bus travel free and will take you to a job center in the morning and a residence shelter at night(make sure you go to your residence shelter and NOT just a shelter!! Pick a shelter near a bus stop so you aren't later for work or curfew! 8. Jobs give perks after awhile, pay raises, double shifts, ect. They do however also give you problems, i.e workplace injuries, poor performance warnings. Make sure your happy and hygiene stay high. 9. Wash your clothes every so often, it also washes you :D 10. DO NOT refund this game. 20% of the games price goes directly to helping the homeless. If you don't like it, just let er sit in the library and gather updates. It's the decent thing to do :)

  I had a very eye-opening moment while playing. I was in a bit of a tough spot and was begging. A lot of what I got was under a dollar. Then a person gave me over four dollars and I celebrated. Then I realized that I had just celebrated four dollars as if I won the lottery. Looking back, had life been different for me, I could have easily ended up in a similar situation portrayed in the game. I have social anxiety that, during high school junior year, had gotten to the point where I could not go to see the doctor or apply for a job. Luckily I was young and had parents that got me the help I needed. I'm going to college in an area with a higher homeless population. Let's just say that I'm going to start carrying change in my pockets.

  I bought it for the cause, and I'm still playing it for the gameplay. What's more to say? But seriously. They took a very sad and often grim subject and treated it with the respect and gravity it deserves. What's more, the moments of light and hope feel genuine and well worth the wait.

  So I'm former foster youth and I have had several periods of homlessness over my lifetime. I don't know what it is about this game but I love it. Maybe its helping me work through trauma, maybe I like the idea that I'm helping someone (albeit a virtual someone) get out of the position I was in, Idk. Point is this is a solid game full of real life experiences. 10/10 would recommend.

  In addition to raising awareness to homelessness in this "walk a mile in a mans shoes" type of way the developers take it a step further by donating to help the homeless. As a previous homeless Vet I appriciate their efforts and thank them for it. Thank you Delve Interactive!!!

  What a great little game this is. You get a real sens eof wanting to actually get somewhere in life. So, you busk, you study, you get the bu to work, you go in the local shops and you beg on the streets. That's only a broad outline. In between there's the thrill - and sadness - scratching a lotto card, getting arrested, washing in a drinking fountain, staying in a doss house and being ignored and abused by total strangers. This game is a real 'Change' from the norm. Buy it!

  Where to begin...I'll try. First and most I was homeless in my younger years. So, this is my experience as a player in the game. Too much negative impact in this game, getting money for food was never a negative thing when being homeless. Only way to achieve happiness is drugs or drinking? What is the developer/s trying to say? It is okay to become an addict if you are homeless? There are other ways to attain a place to sleep that are not filled with such negative impact (churches? Yes, I stayed at many churches and one dedicated to homeless people that served food, gave clothes, and nice beds). There are what homeless people call a soup kitchen. Having to read when you get a job and continue to read even when the job gives no days off. (WTF?) If homeless you can get food, shelter, and be able to wash your clothes is happiness. You would not believe the kindness of a job and a boss that knows you are homeless (How I became not homeless). Reading books everyday is not a requirement for homeless people and homeless people are not stupid. I could go on... Players saying this game is too easy, it is suppose to be an experience... Try being homeless for real. This game stacks negative on top of negative to TRY to explain why is homelessness is hard. Too much negative without showing the actual reality of being homeless and the true challenge that a homeless person faces. There is happiness in being homeless when a homeless achieves things that help their circumstances and a piece to a way out of being not hungry, cold, raggedy clothes (where are the actual clothes in game? Not just something in your backpack that gives a buff), warm shower, and etc... Oh, and I give to the homeless when I can and if I see them. I do not forget what it is like. It definitely isn't like this game. This is a game that punishes the player and calls it an experience.

  With this game you realize how cruel life can be. The game was really challenging but added realism to the game. May God help all those in need. I am seriously impressed. Time is not important to me in this game. Because in five minutes you'll understand.

  It's a great game for its price. You'll pretty much not notice you've already sunk in a few hours at times playing it. More reasons to buy it: - The updates that keep coming - Even more new stuff from the updates - The music
