  One of my favourite games of all time. Simple and fun, a great renewal of the old flash game. Great with friends, online servers are enjoyable if you can find a decently full lobby. Modding and custom content still active with plenty of mods and scripts to experiment with.

  I have been playing superfighters since it was a flash game on Newgrounds. An incredible game for anyone who has, or is able to obtain friends.

  I've been playing this game from the original free version. With the deluxe version, it just adds so much more. This game might seam like it will get old, but it just doesn't. Even though it is basically an arcade game. This game has been out for only a year and yet so much has been added. This game has the most potential I've seen in a game so far. I just hope the creators keep updating it and keeping it new and fresh.

  UPDATE: I decided to come back and check the game out again after parting from it for a few months. The situation is even worse then before. This game is really really dead. Instead of being able to find at least 2 or 3 servers with people in it with ping around the 200s, now i can maybe find 1 server with ping in the 300+ IF im lucky. This is a muiltiplayer game so unless your buying it with friends, DONT BUY THIS GAME!! Its pretty dead at this point and if you have never played superfighters before, be prepared to be destroyed because the only people who play this game are the most dedicated. Ive played for awhile, and i can barely hold my own against the 10-15 people who still play this game so its def not going to be a fun experience for new comers. While I LOVE this game, and would buy it again. I really really want to give this game a good review, however, I cant recommend it due to how dead the game is. A majority of the fun to be had is in online PVP, and 99% of the time, their is only 1 or 2 servers with people in them, with ping in the 200s. I think SFD should go free to play again. In order for the devs to bring in money, most cosmetics, and the 3 campains would only be for people who bought the full game. This would bring in a ton of people to the servers. Edit: a few other things that need to be addressed: 1. The streetsweepers. Nobody asked for them and they ruin the flow of gameplay. It adds luck based gameplay where the fate of the match sometimes lies in who was closer to the streetsweeper then actual skill. Ive won matches against pros because i got lucky and a streetsweeper spawned next to me and i just watched as it decimated the guy. 2. The challenge maps are way to luck based. Some may disagree, but in some of the challenge levels i have died in actual seconds. Imagine this: You spawn next to a ton of explosive barrels and their are 8 NPCs all around you with guns. Not only do you have to jump out of the way of the explosive barrels faster then the NPCs can pull out their guns, (which you cant) but you also have to deal with getting shot at from all angles as soon as you spawn in. Ive won a majority of challenge maps with just luck where i run around trying to survive as long as possible while the NPCs blow and shoot eachother up. Its chaotic but not in a good way. A simple fix would to remove the random spawn mechanic in the challenge levels so its not a "die until you get lucky", which to be fair some challenge levels have. Once again I like this game a lot, but i cant recommend it (unless you like these kind of games,) due to its bugs, low playerbase with high ping, and (sometimes) luck based gameplay. A lot of these issues can be fixed easily and i would be more than happy to change my review if these are fixed. Edit edit: Hey back from another 10 hours of play. Wtf do i have 500 ping when im playing with my friend on the same wifi? Once again like the game but their are a lot of bugs and technical issues the devs need to solve still

  Superfighters was a niche browser game, and like a lot of flash games was ahead of its time. I was around 9 or 10 when I played the "Original Superfighters" with my brother on Y8 and Newgrounds, we dumped hundreds of hours into the game and had endless amounts of fun. When I saw it on steam I had to buy it and show some love n support. When I hear games like Superfighters get mentioned, the nostalgia just rushes in. Back when I had little to no responsibilities life was good, everything was perfect, perfect down to the last minute details (Games, Tv/Movies, Music, Social Media, etc.). God Bless the late 2000s/early 2010.

  The amount of memories I have with friends on this game is mind boggling considering how far it's come. I am shook honestly that I still remember a lot of combos and keybinds for this game like seriously we played that much I miss the old days tho :(
