  Such a throwback, I have been dreaming of playing this game on steam for 10 years. Now my life is complete, and I can end it all. This must be one of the best games of all time.

  Sumotori Dreams is perhaps a perfect example of a cult classic video game. It has a small but very passionate player base. It's a game about four Sumo wrestlers - the Blue Guy, Grey Guy, Brown Guy, and Green Guy. All you have to do is push the other Sumo guys over before they get you. That's it. Usually, doing nothing is the key to victory. All with a comedic intoxicating effect. Just walking around is a challenge. Originally released in 2007, Sumotori Dreams has endured, now with this shiny new release. In this Classic edition, it runs smoother than ever before, with everything functioning as it should - plus a very welcome addition of an in-game mod loader. You might ask yourself: what is the point of such a game? Why would people play something like this? All I can say is: try it for yourself - you'll have a stupid grin on your face in no time. With the addition of user-made maps, there is a huge amount of content to try out. Speaking of which, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time modding scripts for Sumotori Dreams on my YouTube channel, "SumoCreations". I have been constantly amazed by the amount of demand for new maps, and have been surprised by the number of possibilities that Sumotori Dreams has to offer. Currently, I am in the process of updating my maps, so that they all work in this Classic Steam release. In the past, Sumotori Dreams became very popular with big YouTubers, in a bygone era of content creation. Most notably, perhaps, is jackscepticeye's very comedic series, where he played many of my mods - this was, and still is, kind of crazy for me to think about! To finish, I would like to thank archee for creating this game, and for providing myself and many others huge amounts of entertainment.   [b]I used to play Sumotori Dreams about 10 years ago as a kid with my grandmother on a Windows XP machine.[/b] I remember all the laughs, the wonder of the physics and the destructible objects, the hidden part, the launcher with the map loader and the light settings from which the higher values lagged the game, the different levels, the music and the characters, and most importantly the smile on my grandmother's face whenever we were playing this game. What an amazing game and how wonderful memories. You never know how valuable they are until long after.

  I am amazingly happy its here on steam. So for those un aware the year was 2012 the internet was still being trail blazed by some and youtube was a gold mine of comedy and enthusiastic content creators. This game caught the attention of a lot of big Youtubers like Yogscast, Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, and Uberhaxanova are just some of the youtubers that covered it. It was a very fun game but it had a really bad problem and that was accessibility you really had to go out of your way to play this game that many would pirate it simply because it was hard to get it. What you had to do back in the day was download Sumotori Dreams then buy a code from the dev on a site that you can use to unlock the full game in the executable as the download was only the demo. The problem was it was a very honor based system and simple to avoid as any codes were reusable indefinitely so if you got a payed for a code then anyone besides you could just play the full game without paying by using that code. 2012 was a simpler time and this system was really hard to regulate so I am glad for the steam release as this should snuff out most piracy efforts and make the game easier to obtain. In any case lets talk about what you get with the purchase you get Sumotori dreams and its full version with no extra requirement attached just like the original 2012 full release the game has seen updates back then and this is the most definitive version of the game. The fact people like this game as a steam purchase goes to show Gaben is serious if you just make a game accessible to the masses they will buy it with minimal problem. Its not perfect however you are still limited to 2 players at the most you cant go up to 4 despite you being able to have 2 Humans and 2 CPUs and the controls are not Re Bindable. The reason this is not a bigger complaint as this was how the game was all them years ago. If you want some make shift rebinds or controller support I highly recommend Joy2key. An old software designed around changing key inputs to a controller or changing them to a different button. But rebind able controls even if its a config file will be most appreciative preferably id like to do it in game but it would be something at the least along with some workshop support preferably. Also 4 player support would be the cherry on the top to really let this classic re release start up once again with a bang if I were the dev of the game. And if your wondering just like the original all the old classic stages are back with the ability to add stages from creative individuals so if you can find them old downloadable stages. Then they can be used here just like back then.

  i spent 5 dabloons to get this low poly sumo wrestling game. dont be fooled by my time on this game. i WILL fight other low poly fat men and pushing them off tall buildings. i personally challenge silver guy cause he ran over my wife in his 1986 dodge rampage.

  2000s
