Some games need a polish, this one needs a power sander. Still fun and well worth the money.

Futuristic, neon version of Vampire Survivors. Really addictive, fun and easy to understand. Levels are original and really, really challenging at times, but can be beaten with some card loadout/ship tweaks that player unlocks as he progresses. Would never expect a game like this to be so easy for a beginner, yet so complex in it's core.

Tip: If you're experiencing lag with all the xp, turn on "combine xp" in settings.

Not enough depth. You eventually get the same upgrades in every run

The game is interesting, one of those "thumbs middle". At time of writing I have almost 4 hours play time, and 'finished' the game. While the game-play is interesting I simply can not recommend it unless it is on deep sale or you really enjoy this genera of games. The ships are not very unique in that they each simply offer a single boosted stat, the same holds true for the bland upgrade system of stats for gems. Perhaps future updates will add more layers and this game might be worth picking up, but as of writing this it is simply too bland.

Neon Sundown has a lot of potential, but is completely unbalanced in its current state. The damage values are all over the place. Most ship main weapons do 1 to 2 damage, while a select few do 10 to 15. This is SUPPOSED to be balanced by fire rate, but it really doesn't translate well in game. However, NO ship main weapon is worth boosting much as your main source of damage is going to come from weapon mods. Speaking of weapon mods...good grief. So the game is basically about maxing out the Scythe, Dual Scythe, then Dual Harvester mods. The damage does an insane leap from Scythe dealing around 2 damage per strike, to Dual Scythe hitting for around 80-120 damage per strike!! Now that MAY sound like overkill, but it actually becomes ESSENTIAL if you want to hit the level "survive" timers or beyond. Other weapons such as the Shuriken and Missiles do decent damage, but hit VERY randomly. And don't EVER try to go for the Synergy of Drone Strikes because it is WORSE than just having either Missiles or Shurikens maxed by themselves. It's fun to try and get all the dual synergies, but the only one worth the time is Dual Harvester. Laser Shots is flashy, but ultimately pointless as main gun damage is NEVER going to be enough to clear the field of enemies. It just pushes the ones in front of you away, until they can circle around the field of fire. The Champion syngergy could have potential, but in this game, the benefits are just not viable or practical. Dashing INTO enemies makes a shockwave? Great. I've tried it and never seen the actual shockwave. The health of enemies and damage outputs need serious attention. From a rogue-like game with meta scaling, it never feels like you get enough variation to try any unique play styles. For having so many different base ships to try, they all end up feeling the same when the only way to deal damage is the same dual syngergy as always. The game is not expensive, so that's a plus. It just doesn't feel like a game that's going to go places or grow. Have some fun with it, but don't get invested or care too much.

The Sub Zero stage in the Winter Update is not hard, it is fucking unfair! There is no "Try Again" button after defeat. Modules are not saved when switching ships. Everything else is good
