  Realy shines in coop, but is also an awesome tactical horrorgame alone. Reported bugs actually get fixed. I definitely recommend it.

  I served on submarines for 6 years in the US Navy. No one will ever get to come to my house without trying this game. The use of room scale is absolutely phenomenal, I have never been so immersed in a simulation. The ability to grab a hatch wheel and twist to get to the next compartment is perfection. Stepping up onto the bridge at a full bell I swear I could feel the sway of the deck under my feet. I have already threatened several of my old shipmates to buy a VR headset and get this game so we can go back to sea together. I cannot wait to see what further improvements are made to the simulation to really challenge a fully manned crew. (More enhanced DC would be absolutely amazing. Fire is scarier on a submarine than flooding, welding a ruptured pipe is somewhat distracting as we would probably use a pipe patch like a strongback if the leak could not be isolated. These are minor compmlaints, the game is simply incredible and perhaps the best game I have ever played in my life.)

  Brilliant ! but could you make a "SITTING DOWN" option for us old, inferm and injured. VR offers a new freedom that lets people forget there disabilitys and puts everyone on a even-par . ...Wheelchair freindly lets say !

  This game is a rare gem in VR. A team co-op it excels at putting players in a situation where communication and skill is key to success. It is an arcade simulation, do not expect it to be a realistic depiction of a submarine. Its much faster paced and provides a ticket straight to the chaos farm full of panicking players trying to isolate floods and engineers crying for more fuses. This is required, you wouldn't want to do a real time super simulation in a submarine. With that being said it is very atmospheric, claustrophobic and has a "submarine" feel to it that is magnified by the fact it is a VR game. The room scale is awesome, and most players will find they can walk freely around the compartments without bumping into walls or ever having to use the controller to move. This lends massively to the immersion factor. A big plus. As a serving submariner, I can confirm that the current format works well! It allows a small group of players to start and stop playing as needed and doesn't tie you down into a 20 hour engagement. Unless you are a glutton for punishment. If that's the case, join the Navy instead; the graphics are better. Happy Hunting.

  I understand why many people will find this fun, and it is indeed exciting to experience a room-scale VR submarine like this, at least initially. However, for someone like me, coming from a modded Silent Hunter V background, which is a proper simulation, I quickly found IronWolf to be a frustratingly limited arcade experience. My biggest disappointment was that I expected to patrol an open world instead of being forced to fast travel to an area where I must immediately engage enemies in order to operate the vessel in "real time". All I wanted to do at first was sail around a bit in safe area, familiarising myself with the VR stuff and learning the controls, but it's not that kind of a game. However, I did not want to give it a thumbs down because it is still a good VR entry, and definitely worth a look.

  This isn't such a bad start for an early access game... It looks pretty good, though a bit cramped even for a sub, and lacking in AI crew. However, it still needs work to match the current standards in sub sims: 1. Periscope should show relative bearing, not just magnetic bearing. 2. We need binoculars. Modt night attacks were conducted from the conning tower using binoculars. 3. The sub needs a proper plotting table, to be able to mark the course of any moving objects. 4. We need a deck gun. Many merchantmen were sunk by gunnery from submarines. 5. Torpedoes weren't instant kill weapons unless a warship's magazine blew up. It took time to sink a ship, sometimes hours. The way these ships sink is too arcadey. 6. We need decoys and to be able to launch oil and debris to throw off persistent escorts. 7. Pattern running torpedoes and sound-seeking torpedos, as well as sstraight-running steam and electric torpedoes. 8. Torpedo depth settings and magnetic influence detonators so we have the choice of direct impact or a detonation beneath the keel

  Very smart use of room-scale, great atmosphere, overall fantastic experience; demonstrates that VR is good for more than just wave shooters (thank goodness). Definitely in my top 5, a must-have for any VR enthusiast imo.

  - Nice visuals, Really gives a sense of being in a sub - Great for 3-4 players in Coop - A lot more in depth than most crew based games I hope this inspires Devs to come out with more crew based games at this level of detail and coop opportunities that a more complex system offers.

  Disclaimer - Beta tester. Main things that I like. - There's a rare incentive to NOT die in games. In IronWolf VR, drowning is quite a visceral experience, especially when the water slowly creeps up from your knees, waist, chest, and then you're on your tip toes trying to keep your head above water. This makes me actively try very hard to avoid dying. - Multi-player makes the experience truly better than playing solo. Shouting bearings of targets, depths while trying to avoid depth charges actually makes it a viable 2-3 player game. This is really giving me a good idea of what I'm expecting from StarTrek Bridge Crew (assuming that each role has active roles). - I'm bored of wave based shooters, and it's a huge relief to flip switches and turn dials and plan my tactics, rather than trying to aim a pistol/rifle/bow+arrow at monsters.
