Assetto Corsa Competizione - American Track Pack Panimula

The American Track Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione features three of the most iconic circuits from the United States of America.

COTA - Circuit of the Americas

The project for the first US-based circuit aiming to cater for all major track racing series started back in 2010, in Austin (Texas). The circuit features some highly complex sections, driven at very high average speeds. At 5.5 kilometres long, it is situated on a hilly area, which brings some very impressive short braking zones mixed with straights where it is easy to gain speed in an incredibly short amount of time. With all major events selling out, the circuit is close to the hearts of the locals, holding a record attendance of 400,000 people in a single race weekend.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Have you ever seen a place where a racing track is so important that a city is named after it? Well, Indianapolis is such a place, as it is located in a city called "Speedway". The circuit is the second most ancient race circuit in all of humanity, built in 1909, just two years after Brookland (UK), the very first one to exist. This should tell you a lot about the huge motorsport culture this place in Indiana (USA) holds in its heritage. Everything around here is completely absorbed by the passion for engines, speed, tyres and everything attached to a racing vehicle. Indianapolis has been known for ages for its impressive oval section, which features an extreme banking for high-speed racing. As a motorsport capital, the circuit has been able to evolve, and now also features an FIA Grade 1 layout, which is home to the Indianapolis 8 Hour for the Intercontinental GT Challenge by SRO and many other racing categories across all disciplines. Carl G. Fisher would be very proud of the heritage he created for the entire motorsport industry.

Watkins Glen International

Watkins Glen, close to Seneca Lake in the state of New York (USA), was first opened in 1956, and it was built to relocate motor racing events previously held in near villages and roads to a proper circuit. It has been home to major racing disciplines throughout its history, in which it has become very popular as the "Mecca" of North American motorsports. Initially, racing activities in this area were fuelled by Cameron Argetsinger, whose family's summer residence was located nearby. The family collaborated with local authorities and started organizing racing events, giving life to the future circuit that also provided the venue for the Unites States of America Grand Prix for years.

All of these 3 new circuits will come alongside a new Assetto Corsa Competizione update, featuring new liveries and improvements for all players.

In 2020 we got 4 tracks for $14.99. Now it's 3 tracks for $17.99. Is the inflation that high? lol Anyway. Kunos needs to survive. It's still cheaper than other games and it's a pretty awesome sim racing. Many esports competition are base on ACC, and there are amazing communities around it, like SimRacing604. I hope that keeps growing. Thank you Kunos! Let's race!

ACC DLC - the only DLC I buy without even looking at what's in it.

As an American I've been looking forward to this pack for a bit now. As a big fan of Watkins Glen International one of the first things I did was hop in my Porsche and go there. It is one of my all time world wide favorite tracks and American tracks. Only one missing is Sebring now. But overall a great DLC for the tracks. Some decent'ish new skins, nothing special to mention really. I generally run my own custom skins, but I did look at the new ones. Decent if you don't run custom skins. The tracks look and feel great which is what this DLC is about. I compared them to Assetto Corsa and they look and feel amazing. Watkins Glen I was the most happy about. One thing I want to mention is the feeling. One of the first things I noticed coming from AC Watkins Glen and COTA to ACC Watkins Glen and COTA was the tracking feeling. The feeling is just that much better if that makes sense. This isn't a "must buy" but its certainly grab it when you got the cash or after you've gotten the more important DLC's (GT4 and such). If you're an American track fan then it certainly is a quality buy and worth it. 4/5 only because honestly its 3 tracks and no new vehicle, granted they are high quality tracks. But I would of love to have seen Sebring or VIR or Road Atlanta even. A 4th track or at least another vehicle would of been a lot better and made this a 5/5. Lack of a new vehicle or 4th track lowers it by 1 in my opinion.

Let me preface by saying that as always, Kunos has delivered the highest of quality for these three tracks. They look and feel wonderful, and as a long-term fan of the game I'm happy to purchase this DLC. That being said, overall three tracks is rather disappointing compared to what Kunos has previously delivered. From the 2021 GTWC America calendar this DLC is missing Sonoma, VIR, Road America, and Sebring, all of which are legendary tracks. In their absence, this pack feels empty and half-hearted. With travel restrictions having been lifted for over a year I personally don't believe there's much excuse for missing so many iconic courses. I'd happily pay more and wait longer to get these tracks, but with Kunos being so tight-lipped with their development roadmap I have to assume that we won't be getting the rest of these tracks anytime in soon in the coming years. Like Valencia, Magny-Cours, updated Zandvoort, and updated Barcelona, it seems Kunos is just not interested in pumping out content for this game. I really hope this changes.

Well. Nicely done tracks, as always. Price is a little bit higher than in the past - but still cheap compared to other sims out there. Watkins Glen is a GREAT track - very fun to drive. For that one alone i would happily pay money. Indianapolis is alright.. although some more oval would also be nice. COTA is just.. really meh. I mean - it's well done by Kunos, but just MEH to drive. Hard track limits, insane curbs, lots of bumps.. blind corners everywhere if you don't have a triple screen setup. I really don't like it. Sadly this pack is missing some great tracks.. what about Sebring, Road America.. Virginia? :/ Was hoping for a little bit more.. but as always - great quality and worth buying.

Pros: Very high detailed tracks. Watkins Glens. Cons: Incomplete DLC, missing several tracks. Higher price. Where is Road America? xd Maybe there will be a Part 2 DLC with the missing tracks? Only recommendable if you love Watkins Glens.

I still recommend this DLC but buy it when it goes on sale. Watkins is really good. This track is very versatile as it works with all the classes. I recommend taking the GT4's. Watch out on the first lap as you might understeer into the wall going up the hill. I potentially see public lobbies and online leagues will use this track a lot. Cota is ASS. The Turtles are ASS. The tracks limits are ASS. Setting up the car for this circuit is ASS. If you want the ultimate ASS experience, drive the Ferrari challenge around this track. This circuit is better suited for sprint formats. Major problem with this circuit is that if you run deep into the gravel at T12 and return to the track, you get DQ'd. (Edit: This has been fixed but Kunos has just moved the barrier forwards to the edge of the gravel/runoff area -_-) I potentially see this track only appearing from time to time on public lobbies and online leagues. I personally love Indy but I fear it's going to rarely feature in public lobbies and online leagues. I still find it a bit annoying how there still hasn't been any introduction of pitlane white line rules into the game which has resulted in orange barriers being all along to T1. This track works well with all the cars but I see single spec sprint races would work well here. While all tracks are good, this DLC overall feels a bit hollow for a long time player like me. It has been 16 months since the last track DLC (British GT) and we only received 3 tracks! I see these tracks will only keep me going for the next few weeks. The DLC just needed another track or two. Another track would have meant we would have had at least 5 USA tracks in ACC which could have been good for leagues who could have created america themed seasons. If I had to add a track it would have been Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Has historically been part of the GTWC America series until Covid and a historic circuit like Canadian Tire Motorsport Park would balance out the tracks with more of the modern circuits that feature in ACC. I understand licencing for these tracks has been a pain for Kunos but we needed something radical after 16 months of the same tracks. In conjunction with the licencing pain, the cost of the DLC is higher in price than the other DLC's. This means not as many people will buy it therefore these circuits will never gets raced after a month or so and we'll be back to racing Monza, Spa and Nurburgring online. On a minor note, while you can setup a GTWC america race format in the custom race weekend (90 minutes with a 10 minute pit window), because there is no filter for the GTWC America entries in the car selection, you end up racing with all the GTWC Europe cars and it feels a bit off. While the dlc is good, for a long time player (3.5 years) like me, it just isn't enough.

The only Kunos product I can't recommend. The devs are known for delivering the best quality to price ratio on the simracing market or at least have been so far. This DLC is fairly expensive for what you get and inside the pack there is one great track (Watkins), one F1-made Tilkedrome (COTA) with broken track limits and one garbage track which is impossible to derive any satisfaction from because it's as flat as a pool table and the in-field part is a combination of boring 90-degree turns and veeeery long and slow ones (Indy). I bought it to support Kunos and enjoy Watkins Glen (and to be able to race the full season in LFM) but in the recent context of broken servers, DDOS attacks and general lack of communication from the developers, this track pack is a massive disappointment. Despite the unappealing nature of driving GT3s on COTA and Indy, the biggest reason for the negative review is the fact that everything concerning car and track choises in ACC used to be explained through SRO licencing and allowing players to emulate whole seasons of Blackpain/GT World Challenge series but now Kunos have decided to give us just 3 out of 7 tracks featured in GT World Challenge America and despite some of the biggest fan-favourites on the calendar (Sebring, VIR, Road America, Sonoma), we get Glen (good), Indy (bad) and COTA (you've got a drive through penalty for track limits), and the reason for that which the devs cite most often is "personal preference" which is somewhat insulting to the playerbase, a vast majority of whom would gladly swap both COTA and Indy for just one track out of Sebring, VIR and Road America.
