What can I do in Onset?

By default the map in Onset is completely empty. The Onset Developer Wiki holds a list of all Lua functions including descriptions on how to use them. With those functions you can write your own game mode scripts that either run on the server or game client. This way you have endless possibilities to realize your idea in Onset.

Seems to be pretty dead. Great idea, but no sign of the dev in the last year... Unusable as a game in it's current state. DON'T BUY

absolutely love this game. No limit to what you can create. RP/Cops vs robbers/ Races/ etc. You name it and it can be done through time and effort.

I see potential, decent car handling, Decent gunplay, VOIP is nice. Excited to see how far it goes :)

The servers are currently in Very early stage. BUT there is a lot of potential, so if you have patience Buy the game. Otherwise wait a couple of months The dev(Talos) is very responsive and a good working man

- 0 populated English servers - 1 Populated french server - A general lack of anything to do The game has potential to become a replacement for Gmod rp servers but that is a long way from now. I'd recommend it to developers looking to expand from their current game, but for players it's not really worth it yet as the community has not yet matured.

fairly interesting and has some potential but in its current state it would probably be easier to make a game from scratch than to base something off Onset. the vehicles and core mechanics have a very asset flippy feel to them and you have little control over the existing world. you could say it will be a much more polished game in a year but despite how much i'd like to see it happen, having roamed around i personally don't think the team has sufficient talent and resources to pull off what they're trying to achieve

If you speak french, then you may enjoy? Otherwise stay away! If there were more English streamers promoting then maybe it will take off...?? But I can't honestly say that in it's current state this game is aimed at English speaking players. In the 13 hours I played I have only met 2 other solid players who spoke English and interacted with me. I was kicked of a server for not being French and also ordered to speak in German on another server. Absolutely no Australian/ English / US players ever online when I am online!!
