Jurassic World Evolution 2: Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack Funciones

Showcase an array of outstanding new prehistoric species with the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack. Inspired by Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation’s hit Netflix show, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, this DLC features two entirely new dinosaurs, two new variants for existing species, and eight eye-catching skins that players can use to bring their parks to life.

SCORPIOS REX

One of Dr. Henry Wu’s first hybrid creations, the Scorpios Rex is a truly fearsome carnivore. Blood-red eyes, charcoal-black scales, prominent spikes, and jagged, uneven teeth characterise this impressive species. Known for its aggressive nature, it was originally deemed unfit for display…until now.

MONOLOPHOSAURUS

Named for the single crest adorning its skull, the Monolophosaurus is a medium-sized carnivore from the mid-Jurassic period. Its distinguished crest helps intensify roars and aids communication between Monolophosauruses.

OURANOSAURUS  (Variant)

The Ouranosaurus is a peaceful herbivore that lives in large herds. Keeping a single Ouranosaurus is not advised, as lone individuals have been known to break out of their enclosures and panic guests. The Ouranosaurus has a broad snout and tall spines on its back supporting a camel-like hump.

KENTROSAURUS  (Variant)

Despite being covered in lethal-looking spikes, the Kentrosaurus is actually a docile herbivore that uses its beak to bite off plant material. One of the smallest species of stegosaur, the Kentrosaurus defends itself when threatened using long spikes on each shoulder and smaller spikes protruding from its hips and tail.

8 NEW DINOSAUR SKINS

Bring the Baryonyx trio Grim, Limbo and Chaos, plus Toro the Carnotaurus, Bumpy the Ankylosaurus, and Big Eatie the Tyrannosaurus Rex to life in your parks, and entrance your guests with two glow-in-the-dark skins inspired by the Parasaurolophus Lux.

·         1 Ankylosaurus skin - Bumpy

·         3 Baryonyx skins - Grim, Limbo, Chaos

·         1 Carnotaurus skin - Toro

·         2 Parasaurolophus Lux skins - Lux 1 (glow in the dark), Lux 2 (glow in the dark)

·         1 Tyrannosaurus rex skin - Big Eatie

As usual for this franchise, this DLC is just more dinos and skins for existing dinos. No new content so only buy if you really like the game or the dinos in this pack. As with any aesthetic DLC i recommend waiting for a sale unless you have the money and want it now like i did.

It's a skin pack with a new couple new dinos. It's for enthusiasts like myself, who gladly will support devs for good games by shelling out money for something, that is entirely optional and is not needed at all to have fun in the base game. At 10 euros i rate it reasonably priced, although I have the money to spare, so your mileage may vary. If your budget's tight, wait for sale. And on to a note that the DLC broke peoples sandbox games, and the reason i actually review the DLC. Sorry but everyone complaining it broke their save files is too dumb to read the patch notes. It's not the DLC, it's the patch which causes it, because in sandbox, you now have research (finally a reason to play sandbox...). But you can turn it off. Research, expeditions and extraction, and scientists. If you turn them off in sandbox settings, you get your stuff back. I didn't test it on an old sandbox park since I didn't bother with sandbox before (what's the fun if you already have everything at your disposal?), but I tried with my newly created sandbox. Turned those settings off and tadaa, i have all my unlocks. It's not rocket science, seriously, all you needed to do was read the patch notes.

I like it. At first I was a little skeptical considering that it was 10$ for two new dinos. However, the new skins are enough to make it worth the 10$ if you're a big JWE fan and the new skins for the Ouranosaurus and Kentrosaurus are different enough that I would consider them to be essentially new dinos. If you're not a super into JWE i'd wait for a sale but if you are then this is well worth its price.

I am a little disappointed that the Scorpios rex, and Monolophosaurus don't have any voiced intros when they first come out (makes them feel a little unofficial to me, like a mod), but other than that I like Scorpios rex, and Monolophosaurus models, and animations. I also really like the luminescent Parasaurolophus Also to anyone whose game is now broken, It might be installed mods; I had to uninstall, and reinstall (because I forgot everything I changed) and it worked ok after that

I never expected too much from a DLC based on Camp Cretaceous. Obviously, the Monolophosaurus and Scorpios rex at the very least were going to be brought in. The inclusion of the Spinoceratops and Smilodon were a bit up in the air, but ultimately it seems they have been excluded because we don't have an adult version of the former hybrid and the latter is a Cenozoic mammal that simply doesn't fit given the lack of other prehistoric animals from the same era. Regarding the skins, they're perfectly fine. Don't know if I'm going to use too many of them. That said, the new creatures and skins are translated very nicely from their cartoonish versions to the game. I do like that we now have Monolophosaurus in the game as a new real dinosaur. It was always a unique creature and I felt it would be remiss not to include it in Evolution 2 at some point regardless of its canon or franchise status. The Scorpios rex, while I'm not big on hybrids, is at least translated very well from the cartoon world to the 3D game world and really captures the aesthetic of being even more of a prototype hybrid than the Indominus rex or the Indoraptor. Even its database entry states that this thing should probably just be put out of its misery because its an unpredictable and unstable monster of an animal. At any rate, this DLC is perfectly acceptable and well paired with the massive and much-needed major update 2 to the base game. The price point of $10 is a little questionable given this is mostly a skin pack, but given the amount of content the major update had, I'd say it's a minor nitpick at best. I'm just glad the Monolophosaurus is now in the game and the worries about Camp Cretaceous content being included in Evolution 2 can be put to rest. And now we wait to see what Frontier will do when Jurassic World Dominion releases.

Just when I thought nothing could look scarier than the indoraptor they bring the Scorpios rex out! If I saw that sucker I'd have nightmares for sure. He is awesome the way he poses when he roars. I doubt it needs to be said but we definitely NEED more fluorescent dinosaurs, a Brachi and Spino with the lux pattern would be Super Incredible! Also want more cool hybrids. This game is incredible and has many more dinosaurs they can create, sky really is the limit for them!
