In the face of such evils, exorcists who command powers of the divine rise to stand against these supernatural threats, sworn to rid the world of monsters and evil spirits that intend to harm mankind.

While there is "technically" very little wrong with the game from a general use standpoint, the overall design is lacking, the scenes are uninteresting, the story is boring and it all comes off feeling like a complete waste of time by the end. Don't bother.

Really wanted to like this one, a cute miko going on an adventure, but it plays awful, there is fights, and then losing causes a scene, and it's all very bad, if you win everything there is no scenes at all. There is one lewd R scene early on, and it comes out of nowhere, it was alright, but if you aren't into that this game is just, even if you are into that it sucks. This game is awful, avoid it, I don't know why I kept up with it. 2/10 This game is awful, but I did like one scene at least,
At a Glance

(Adult) Content No. . . I think.

Censorship Not applicable.

Hours of Gameplay A few hours. . . ?

Modding Support? No.

Patch Required? No. Easy peezy!

Divine Miko Koyori is a RPG-maker game about a girl named Koyori, and some grand adventure she (unwittingly) finds herself a part of. Note. This review is currently a WIP, so expect updates as I continue my play-through on this title. Consider this review in its current state as a "first impression".
Game-play
Through-out the map, Koyori is able to harvest plants. You can find useful materials, such as Mugwort (used for healing). If you find yourself unsure of what to do next, all you need to do is hit-up the nearest "shrine stone", which will tell you what your next objective is. Combat plays-out like a classic RPG, with the ability to attack, use magic, and use items. As Koyori levels-up, she can learn new skills using "skill points".
Story
The game starts with Koyori, fending off a pack of Gaki. She threatens them, which causes them to scatter. Clearly, the Gaki aren't the bravest monsters around. Koyori is on a journey to a remote village, where she is tasked to complete her training as an "exorcist". But as it turns out, her training is going to be much more than just that. The locals have been struggling with malevolent spirits called "Yokai". It's up to Koyori to deal with them, while earning her keep at the village.
Visuals
The visuals look very well polished. Even if the sprites are RPGMaker defaults, they look great. The maps are neatly pieced together, and the character portraits are well, well drawn. I was very impressed at the get-go.
Verdict
So far, this has been a quality game. I would suggest grabbing it while it's on sale, and giving this 'un a whirl!
Support the Wombat
If you enjoy my review(s), please follow my Curator page. I live and die on your thumbs (up) and follows. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36272124-Wombat-Trap/

Waki miko Reimu~! - this is basically what every Touhou fan would be saying upon seeing Koyori! Eroges here on steam have always been either very good, or incredibly horrible! Finding something in the middle is harder than finding some that belongs on either of the extremes! Thankfully, I'm here to report that Divine Miko Koyori was, indeed, a very good eroge. What are the things that you look for in an eroge? What even is an eroge? It's not "Erotic Geh" it's "Erotic Game". The standards in this genre are vastly different from a normal game. For example: 1. Plot- is less than secondary. If you're looking for a game to introduce you to a colorful world that will intrigue and mystify you this genre is simply not the right one. And sadly, Divine Miko Koyori is similarly lacking in that regard. The plot is basically a miko (if you don't know what that is, it's basically a priestess or a shrine maiden) was called to help a village be rid of its problem concerning youkais (if you don't know what youkais are, they're basically supernatural beings like demons, spirits, or sometimes even gods). After arriving in the village she finds out that everyone in the place are as likable as a cuum stained deeldo, basically not at all unless you wanted to be pregnant or get aids. She also finds out she's the only girl in the village, oh boy~! Despite the obvious problem, apart from the youkais, she decides to fulfill her duty to honor her mother's legacy... oh and because she's afraid she might get shouted at if she returns empty handed. 2. Art Design- in any other genre, you would be forgiven to say "I don't care if the animation isn't as good, or the characters don't look as pretty. Just give me a good story." If you bought this game and you said that, then please put your name in the comments so we can laugh at you for your inability to read the tags you Microcephalic Addle-pate; heh, I bet you didn't even realize I called you a moron~. Anyway art design is top tier! Koyori is a beauty to behold! They designed our innocent Miko just right; moderately sized in the front, and bountiful in the rear! Koyori is a fresh and good example of how a realistic figure is more appealing than a bunch of cows carrying medicine balls on their chests! 3. Gameplay- like the plot, gameplay is pushed down, when it comes to eroges... actually, when it comes to JRPGS in general. If you're looking for some action packed features you're not going to find it here. What we have here is your good ol turn-based RPG setting. Turn-based RPGs can be fun, but that's rare nowadays because that requires a lot of mechanics to force you to plan your every choice of moves. However, here, it's literally just attack, defend, or heal. Winning in this game is just a matter of grinding your way to a level high enough so you can 1-hit everything, or at least out survive anything. 4. H- Gameplay- there's another type of gameplay when it comes to eroges, it's basically how you unlock CGs or h-scenes... and this is basically the main draw of the game alongside 'art design'. There are 3 ways to get forked in this game. a. Wait for an enemy to do its H-move b. Lose to an enemy who will then use your sloppy insides to polish his dirty rod c. Talk to the villagers, or trigger flags inside the village, because that's a village of deeks Losing to a boss nets you a game over, while losing to a random enemy you're allowed to be "let go" or if you're like me and you're psychotic "continue to get forked" and then be given a game over. 5. Voice Acting- the second most important aspect of the game, second only to art design in my honest opinion. All of Koyori's dialogues are voice acted! No silent protagonist here! She sounded ever so lovely in her h-scenes, you can hear the innocence in her voice, and how it's slowly robbed from her thanks to your stupid decisions you twaat! Make sure you double check how sound proof your room is, or at least wear a headphone because Koyori will make sure whoever hears her regret ever associating himself with you. Overall, I think Divine Miko Koyori is a great game. A very good game for its cheap price. A little tad short in my honest opinion but I'm satisfied. I give this game an Armpit/10 (For you non touhou fans, that's at least a 9/10). Edit: Oh by the way... Kagura Games old timers would already know this, but in case there are eroge virgins reading this... download the h-patch. It's already somewhere in the reviews... Don't be lazy.... "Your nyotaimori game is on point!"- Villager A

Poorly designed game, with little to no direction. Every area looks like another area. Got lost on the map and literally could not find my way back to town. After an hour I quit trying. Not recommended.

Divine Miko Koyori v1.01 Recommendation: I'll start with would I recommend this game: Yes - BUT only on sale. Game: From the makers of Slave Sword 1 and 2 this game has a lot of similar game play and battles. This game seems to only have 1 quest giver and no side quests it's nowhere near as indepth as Slave Sword. The world is rather linear, paths open up as you get to certain points in the game. Enemy like in SS head towards you (which I personally find a good thing) when you enter the map, so you'll have to dodge them. There are also a number of hidden enemys to find throughout the game (e.g. those ____ which can only be found when you investigate the _____ in the map - LIKE I'D TELL YOU THE SPOILERS!). There is no New Game+ mode upon completion, what happens is that you continue playing and the Battleground map can be reset so you can play against multiple enemys and bosses. Gear: Very limited 1 sword or 1 magic talisman for your weapon. During my playthrough I found no head piece, 1 ring, 4 body and your amulets are cards which you summon once a day. However your cards, may be a bug, but when I summon them the one I had the day before vanishes, so you get no choice. Following completion of the game and final boss before game play I found an head, 2 rings, more body. I haven't found any gear which can be brought for money. Skills: Can be unlocked as you level and spend your skill points. However my most used skill is the first sword technique which deals high damage to one enemy at lost energy cost, very usedful, puts most of the other skills to shame, including the ultimate, which I rarely used. Quests: As mentioned above there is only one quest giver and no side quests, this is very disappointing. Following completion I haven't found any quests. Bugs: I haven't found any major game killers after installing v2 patch. However after completion there is no night mode, if you enter the abandoned village you can enter some of the buildings there, when you come out it gives you a dusk appearance, returning to the main village doesn't make it go night, instead if you go in so some of the buildings and out it returns to day. Exploit: Trying to avoid the spoiler, at a certain point of the game the village becomes full of hostiles. However your safe rest point is fine. You can use this to your advantage by setting the game to insane difficulty and going in and out of resting to kill two wondering mobs for 800+ XP per enemy. Map: Various sections of the map open up on different days to suit your quests. You'll have a bit of fun running around collecting things. Once you've killed the boss of that area the enemys vanish and you can wonder around without any threat, dissappointing I think. Given the number of main quests it's not a large number of new areas to explore, but there are hidden things to find if you want to go looking. H-Scenes: I've not yet found a method of unlocking them all following completion. Battle scenes can be skipped in the options (HORRAY), as they are limited and repetative over various enemys. Developers: Please in your next game make it a little bigger with some dungeon side quests from other sources. This game seems rather rushed and lacklustre compaired to SS1+2.

one thing I will give props for circle poison is that they definitely make characters that are very visually appealing and personally Koyori's design is probably the most appealing to me . what I don't really like though is that their titles don't actually have much when it comes to variety and the story I will be very honest is very bland.
