Also note the ongoing legal battle between publisher and developer and consider buying this elsewhere. [i]Well, dear reader, you have come back for more? Do you want to know whether the secrets of the Necromicon can redeem the fallen city? Read on and learn....[/i] Worshippers of the Necronomicon is a DLC which adds three new missions to The Sinking City and frankly, it is an insulting money grab. Not only is this content which should have been in the main game instead of the many bland filler quests, it is far too short for its price. I will briefly describe the three missions without spoiling too much: [b]Mystic Tomes:[/b] Place new markers around the city, visit locations, grab eight classical volumes of Lovecraftian lore, from the Unaussprechliche* Kulte to the Necronomicon itself. What sets it apart from the rest of the filler content is that these locations are slightly (!) more interestingly designed and that there is one additional boss fight at one point of this quest. It is a rather easy fight, though. The excerpts from the books are interesting, but short. [b]Breaking News:[/b] In this, you help the editor of the Oakmont Chronicle - a skull - to solve the mystery of a tiger that is hunting criminals in the city. It is comparatively interesting, but the tone does not really fit the depressing atmosphere of the rest of The Sinking City. Also, why is the editor a skull? It is never explained. [b]Blood from a Stone:[/b] The closest this game comes to a love story. I liked it, despite its cheesiness, but it was rather short. Also, you once again have to deal with that stupid skull. [b]Final Verdict:[/b] This should be priced at half of what it actually costs. Maybe even at a third. It is not a bad DLC in itself, though, and worth getting in a sale. 4/10 --- *Yes, I know Lovecraft called it "Unaussprechlichen Kulte", but I am German and that is just wrong. It's either "Von Unaussprechlichen Kulten" (Of Unspeakable Cults) or "Unaussprechliche Kulte" (Unspeakable Cults).

  From what I can tell this adds in a number of side quests that add in little puzzles into areas around the map to go find. so far iv seen two, and they usually have a lightning effect with a bunch of posed skeletons, sometimes with a little puzzle. it gives a fair amount of EXP so it might be better to find them with a new game rather then picking it up form an old save, but I got this on sale in a pack so it was integrated form the start.

  This DLC is a fetch quest with 8 new houses to explore and with one new boss which you can see in the picture description. Personally, this DLC wasn't as exciting as I had hoped and it's because there's nothing that makes it exciting. Picking up the necronomicon isn't a cutscene moment with cool lore but is instead presented as picking up a normal item like any other document you find in the game. Essentially, this is how the DLC works: Go to all 8 locations, find the hidden book, kill the same monsters that the rest of the game has and, finally, when you complete all the quests, you unlock a cultist/ octopus costume. If you're looking for more of the same, this DLC does exactly that but, if you wanted a real side campaign, meet new characters and spice up the gameplay in any way, than this isn't it! The best thing that I can say about this DLC is that some of the locations were cool and the stories were pretty good overall. Lastly, the boss in the picture isn't challenging so don't expect an epic fight or anything. The area is full of explosive barrels so shooting about 5 of them next to the monster kills it . Bottom line, if you want a faster way to gain XP and want more of the same, get this DLC. Stay clear from it if you want or expect anything else.

  1 collect 9 things mission 2 good missions where you do two investigations for the oakmont chronicle. Both interesting and compelling missions with lots of player choice on how the story is reported. 2-3 hours of content. if you like the main game this is more of it,

  I was under the impression that this version was supposed to give me the Thompson submachine gun at the start of the game, but I have never received it at the beginning of the game.
