  I've beat all the Ninja Gaiden games on the hardest difficulty and this game is a joke... and not only because of the reduced enemies and less gore. Here is a list on a few things that they did change in Sigma 2 in compare to the Original Ninja Gaiden 2 • Game got censored (99% of spilled blood was changed into purple mist) • Completely censored Cutscenes • Reduced enemy count • Increased enemy damage • Increased enemy health • Increased enemy delimb resistance • Reduced enemy aggression • Reduced enemy IS throwing • Addition of one hit kill grabs on MN from all bosses and most enemies to compensate for the lower enemy count and easier difficulty • Changed weapon upgrade system (upgrades are for free and the game mandates when and to what lvl the player can upgrade. Infuriating) • Easier game overall (most of the fights were deleted or altered, f.e. Sigma 2 on Master Ninja starts with 5 grey Ninja instead of 5 IS Ninja, CH 11 lacks the first 6 fights ENTIRELY, more save points / shops were added, and more) • Removal of all water combat (cannot fight the Water Dragon on water in Sigma 2) After some research, we found that the enemies were cut by 2/3. Enemy count in Vanilla 2: 4300-4600. Enemy count in Sigma 2: 1550. Simply pathetic • No NG+ anymore (original had 2 different NG+ modes) • Cut (or exchanged) Bosses • Easier and slower bosses • Ability to Izuna Drop Genshin (destroys the entire bossfight) • Removed the ability to counter strong attacks (f.e. Genshin's Haze Straight Slash and his FS, or Mechs) • Removal of Incendiary Shuriken, Windmill Shuriken and Underwater Gatling Gun • Removal of Bow UTs • Unlimited Arrows and addition of a gun to compensate for the lack of Bow UTs • Addition of 3 Mandatory Female Chapters (HORRIBLE) • Game forces life / Ki upgrades on pickup (when u pick up a Spirit of the Devils or a Life of the thousand Gods, then the game uses it automatically and robs u of the choice of when (or if) to use it) • Even tho Chapter Challenge was added, it reduced the max Ki slot count to 5 instead of 10 and is in general no replacement for a proper NG+ mode • Removal of all keys / keycards in the game, including all lore that came with them, as well as having all doors already opened for the player • Increased in-game loading times (when opening chests, change weapons, etc) • Guillotine Throw is not a 100% delimb anymore, and performing a Flying Swallow on in air / crawling enemies is not a 100% insta kill anymore • The Izuna Drop is in Ryus arsenal from the start with a lvl 1 sword (as well as all other lvl 1 weapons) making an already easier Master Ninja mode even MORE easy • Logically, the Izuna Drop does not enough damage anymore to kill some of the lesser Ninjas • Removed the ability to shoot 2 arrows in the air after a normal jump • Heavenly Justice is not moving towards the attacked enemy when performed without directional input, making the followups clunky or wiff entirely • Removed the ability to turn the camera during an Izunda Drop and during all "Rope" shimmy sections • Removed the ability to switch between free and locked on cam during bossfights. It is always on lock on now. Pure retardation • Removed the ability to switch between manual save slots and autosaving (seperate slots). The game will always autosave at statues and the player can only manually save after a chapter • Removed the ability to turn the camera while casting Ninpo without actually aiming the Ninpo. Both sticks aim Ninpo now (in the original, the left stick aimed the Ninpo, the right stick only turned the camera) • Bosses like the Blind Giant or Rasetsu will be obliterated with both a light and strong attack now... Before, only a strong attack would OT them... They cannot be killed any other way. A very bad change to combat • All Tests of Valor have been removed Go watch Farnham__TheDrunk on twitch, he is a good Ninja Gaiden player doing challenges like "No taking damage" etc

  I will be getting a refund. Extremely low effort port. NG2 is the lame censored version with purple mist instead of blood. performance is poor. No anti-aliasing NO PC options. No resolution options. Weird scaling on UI & textures, most UI is low res and pixelated. the HP bar looks horrible. they couldn't even get the steam store listing right. NINJA GAIDEN Σ only listed the Deluxe Edition which I bought thinking it was the only option. disappointing.

  Do i like the NG games? Yes absolutely.... but this port? freaking no... NG1 same framedrops and performance issue like on console NO ABSOLUTELY NO option for graphics. 60 fps lock in year 2021 is still a thing. NG2 no gore, violet blood ? wtf Games starting in windowed mode. need to double klick the frame for fullscreen windowed No AA Story clips look like 480p Game show´s it´s running on 60fps but on some areas it feels like 30fps so wtf is this shiieet? It´s a 1:1 port they didn´t change a thing or upgradet a thing. worst port ever waste of money

  I played the original "Ninja Gaiden Black", then played the Sigma versions on PS3, then played Ninja Gaiden Black on Xbox One via Backwards compatibility. THEN I played it on an emulator to try to relive some type of nostalgic memories and realized that the game held up really well especially since it was running on something that wasn't even supported by the developers. I then waited for years for news to break on whether or not this game would get released on PC since I was finally able to afford to build one and play games in the best quality possible. I always told myself that "Yeah I love Ninja Gaiden so much, I've bought the games like 3 different times, but if it were to ever come out on Steam, I'd buy it for 60 dollars all over again." As crazy and devoted as it sounds, I just enjoyed the game for so long that it just made sense to have it in my steam collection. We're now on the day that it finally came out, what's essentially considered a "rapture" day for me since I never truly thought it would actually happen, only to be disappointed. So, most of my review is actually based on the port itself or lack thereof. The game is good. If you haven't played it, please do on whatever platform you can. If you like fast-paced action with high skill ceilings or don't need a detail rich story or you just want a reason to break your controller so you can get the new dual-sense, then get this game for sure... on a sale. I just want to start with this so that you can understand why I'm leaving a negative review. KOEI TECMO needs to catch flak because they have done their consumers a disservice way too many times to not get called out on their laziness. I started this game up and immediately was met with a windowed screen that I thought I could change in the in-game settings. No. There isn't a setting for full screen. In fact, you should treat this game like a web browser or an indie game made by a single person. They call this game a "bare bones" port. It isn't even that. It almost feels like you’re running this game on some web browser like a flash game. This game doesn't have ANY settings apart from the ones that allow you to change brightness and contrast. Like I said before, there isn't even a full screen option. Resolution? The game does this weird thing where it tried to figure out what resolution you're playing on instead of allowing you to change it in the settings because again, there are none to change. This means that you have to do what the publishers suggested you do in order to change the resolution which is to go into the launch options and change it manually. They legitimately want you to do it yourself via a steam command instead of taking the time to simply do it themselves. It's not a matter of player laziness, but instead greedy corporations and their complacency. I know that seems like it might be coming out of left field, but please keep in mind that this is coming from the game publisher who wants you to pay them over 1000$ for their last two games, so 2000$ in total in order to play a fighting game and all the DLC in said games. (I'm referring to DOA5 and DOA6). Players aren't too lazy to change these settings, but publishers are getting too greedy nowadays and charging over 40$ just to roll out fodder. I haven't even gotten to what I believe is the worst part about this "bare bones" port. The first time I went to open a chest up in the first level, I noticed that the button prompt was strange and didn't look like a normal one that I was used to like the Xbox "B" button or the Playstation's "O" button. It was still a "B" but it just looked...funny. I continued playing but felt weird and didn't like how the controls were mapped so naturally, I looked for some controller configurations and found absolutely none. I figured that was kind of weird considering the game's store page boasting "Full Controller Support". So, I closed the game and tried to figure out why the controls were so weird, that's when I saw on one of the tabs "Steam Controller Configurator". This game, which was advertised to not have ANY keyboard and mouse controls btw, doesn't even have proper controller support. It instead, relies on the steam's implementation of controller configuration or an alternative to Xinput in order for you to play. This one I don't even understand to be honest. This doesn't even paint it in a greedy or lazy light. Because they could've just left the game to have the PlayStation button prompts and let people like me who were using an Xbox Controller to deal with it. They instead opted to go for doing some halfway support for controllers by using the steam controller configuration which just feels more awkward than anything else. The button prompts they chose to map for the controllers don't even work some of the time. It's just strange all around. So disappointing. Nothing good to say about this port. Oh, and btw, if you read the minimum requirements and told yourself you probably can't run it, you're fine. The game DOES NOT need a GTX 970 to run. They were just too lazy to test that too.

  [h1] JUST A PATCH![/h1] If you release a patch for Ninja Gaiden 2 where you remove the censorship, add original XBOX achievements, the fiend and biometal outfits. you will have a great product. please consider this suggestion. thanks for this collection. This is the only thing missing to make it perfect

  Every time I die I take a break and read for 10 minutes. I've read three books now. Remember when you said Fromsoft made the hardest games? Well, they got nothing on early 2000's Team Ninja. It's the essential classic of Hack and Slash franchise. The finesse and speed of Bayonetta, The style and combos of DMC, and the hectic combat of Metal Gear Rising. I /HIGHLY/ recommend downloading the BLACK mod from Nexus for the best experience, you'll still get achievements etc, and it takes about 10 minutes to make X amount of hours twice as enjoyable.
