Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈklubi dʒi ʁeˈɡataʒ du flaˈmẽɡu]; English: Flamengo Rowing Club), more commonly known as simply Flamengo, is a Brazilian sports club based in Rio de Janeiro, in the district of Gávea, best known for his professional football team.

The club was first established in 1895 specifically as a rowing club and did not play its first official football match until 1912.
