You've got to be joking Big Ant. This game, which is again basically a re-skin of the last, is a buggy mess. Basic features which worked well in previous games simply don't work now. Why? It is like they have not bothered even testing the game for bugs before release, or simply didn't care. Online play is extremely janky and near unplayable. Batting is not fluid or responsive and the batsmen don't react to run commands in a reasonable timeframe. The bowling player seems to see everything as choppy and delayed while the batting player sees things as they actually are. A friend and I tried and failed to play a co-op match against the AI despite 4 or 5 tries to host such a session - it simply wouldn't let us be on the same team despite the 'vs AI' setting being selected. Fielding is also a glitchy joke and i wasn't able to throw to the non-strikers end all game, nor wind up throws with consistency due to the choppy bar powerups. The game wouldn't even allow either of us to change the field. I have been playing Ashes Cricket and Cricket 19 for years now and this release is extremely disappointing. Even if it were 10 bucks i wouldn't recommend it in the current state. Edit 1: We are giving it one try per update, so far 2 from 2 for CTD within 3 overs when playing online. Come on devs actually make the game playable online this is sad. Edit 2: almost 3 weeks after release, still have yet to finish a full 20/20 match without a CTD. Almost refund time i think. Edit 3: Still CTD during online play. Even tried a local multiplayer game and it was buggy as hell.

Man i was expecting way too more considering the pricing This game has lots of issues... Pros :- - AI fielding is very much improved - Many More batting shots really loved this one - Cutscenes and replays now run at 60 fps (still gets reduced to 45 for some reason) - If u go big in an over, u can see mini highlight at the end of the over, really liked this small touch so i mentioned it - Match loading is way faster way way faster than 19 - Ball tracking is also better than 19 if u use broadcast camera angles sometimes ball used to flicker when ball goes towards outfield in 19 - And my personal favourite which was removed from 19, i really like how i can make full use of crease i can go hard left and right to go full 360° innings smash like how T20 players do That are the only good things Cons:- They had 2 years to make this and another 1½ years to fix this thing but still has lot of issues - Player models look even more terrible now and oily For some reason i think a 8 yr old made characters with oil pastel colors It's even worse than cricket 19 - Whenever i look at their eyes i feel something terrible must have happened - Highest quality grass is worse than cricket 19's medium quality grass can u believe it !! Game with 8gb ram recommended specs outperform their own new game Very very low quality like i feel i am playing a ps2 game :/ - New Zealand T20 kit is having real trouble can't even read players name in the back of jersey They have rights for all these licensed tournaments - Big bash league - Ashes - Carribbean Premier League - Hundred Yet they don't make any effort on giving each tournament their own scoreboard/scorecard and match review stats like how we see on Television - Same graphics and match review stats are used across all the above mentioned licensed tournaments (Only THE HUNDRED HAS A Custom Score Card like how we see on TV ) only the Score Card again match review stats are same these are the small touches which really makes the sports game special - Also complete white theme in game menu is kinda irritating Atleast we had options to change theme based on eng,aus and Windies, no options here... - New UI for changing match settings and changing kit was not needed at all old one was easy and very friendly - Commentators aren't excited at all 5 needed of 2 balls and they speaking absolute garbage like i am still playing in middle overs :( - And the very first match i had a bug where i need 5 of 2 balls so i hit a shot and ran 4 myself as ball did not touch the boundary line but after that score card was still showing 5 of 2 and i got out due to that, which ended in super over I hope there's new cricket game this year since we have ashes this year Pls fix above things look at other games for reference of player models And make the next game affordable this is definitely what i would not buy even at 50%

Like cricket 19 this requires you to sign in online to play the single player game. Not only can you not play the game without an internet connection what's worse is that the Big Ant servers are regularly down meaning you can't get past the loading screen. When they go down they are usually not fixed for a full day meaning you literally can't play a game you've paid full price for. It's a kick in the teeth since people who have pirated the game don't have this issue. You are essentially being punished for purchasing the game rather than stealing it. It really doesn't matter how good or bad the game is when you can't even load it.

Overall I'm disappointed with this edition of Cricket 22. I don't think this is an improvement on Cricket 19 in any tangible way. 19 improved on the presentation of Ashes cricket before it and dealt with some of the annoying gameplay issues. I think 22 is basically a rehash of the same game. I understand this is a small games developer with a limited budget so I refuse to be critical of graphics or match engine type stuff. Yes the player models are clunky and the lighting is odd at times but in my opinion that stuff is forgiveable and should come second to the gameplay. I have played a fair few hours and I'll likely continue to play because it's about the only cricket game on the market, but there's some deeply frustrating shortcomings. Firstly, in career mode the statistics tracking is just deplorable. You can view your own players stats and filter according to competition, year etc. You can also view all player stats for the competition you're currently playing in but that is literally just it. Last game of the season, did I finish as top runscorer? You'll never know because those stats are disappeared, gone into the ether, on to the next game you're signed up to. There's just no sense of a wider cricket ecosystem. When you're at club level, the first class scene just doesn't exist, and when you're FC, no test/international cricket results to follow. No world rankings. The only game that exists is the competition you're currently playing in. They have to fix this stuff urgently to make the career mode more immersive. Currently you just have to imagine what's happening in other countries, competitions. There's no context to any of the games outside of the one you're playing. I'll happily take slightly longer sim times between games, imperative for immersion that you actually feel there is other cricket being played. This should include you're own career, what series/competitions you've won, you're top scorer, top wicket taker awards etc. I hope they get some of this basic stuff right but a further advanced stats wishlist would include modes of dismissal, bowler/batsmen match-ups, types of bowling average (for captaincy purposes). Second major bug-bear which carries over from previous games is that captaincy is unplayable. If you perform well for a bit you'll likely be offered captaincy. If you don't simulate at all then the game will let you make decisions. Obviously this isn't feasible however unless you intend to spend 30 hours per red-ball game. Why on Earth the game doesn't let you set bowlers for a specified number of overs, give you the option of setting them a field or leaving it to them etc. is beyond me. Frequently decide you want a particular bowler to come on, click simulate and then the game just whizzes by and ignores your choice. Game simulates and doesn't offer you key tactical decisions like taking the new ball or not, follow-on or not. Really bad and nothing to do with small studio budget, just lazy gameplay testing in my opinion. Big Ant have tried a couple of new things this edition but pretty much all the additions are terrible and I wish they'd concentrated on refining the existing career experience. Training consists of a series of tedious mini-games which seem to mostly be pointless for player development. Press conferences happen at random moments and have no bearing on anything. A greater variety of bowling actions has been added, that's kind of nice though at the start of the game it seems like every second spinner bowls the 'frog in the blender technique'. Camera settings for batting and bowling have changed slightly but actually somehow seem worse than the defaults in Cricket 19. Bowling controls again broadened but the standard bowling controls (which I prefer) now don't have slight length adjustments. My experience so far is that the batting feels more like cricket than bowling. It can be satisfying building an innings and knowing what shot can/ can't be played according to the delivery is rewarding sometimes. That being said, issues in previous games are present here. Bowlers setting an off-side field then repeatedly bowling terrible leg-stump deliveries for overs in a row. Even when the issue isn't as acute as this, doesn't generally feel like the game is examining your tendencies and reacting with different plans. Finally complaint I'll include in this review is conditions not really being a thing. The game will tell you what each pitch is like, along with the weather, but there's very little discernible difference in how the game is played. The ball basically seems to swing an equal amount from overs 1-80. I really don't know anything about games development but it strikes me that Big Ant could implement a 'conditions probability' formula. Eg. randomly calculating swing, spin, bounce probability for a game day given various parameters. Just seems like more needs to be made of conditions in the game. Otherwise the whole touring the world thing kind of just falls flat. Overall, this is a serviceable cricket game. I'd recommend it to anyone who is desperate to play a cricket game because it is probably the least worst option out there. That being said, it certainly isn't worth £30 and they could do so much better. Like many sports games, it seems to be tested for glitches but not for user experience and immersion. Pity

Back those days, like 10-12 years before, EA Cricket was the most popular one in the Cricket games, but the game guess was easy that many gamers were hitting at 20- 30 runs per over in 5-star difficulty. There were also memes spreading like if you feel your team has been beaten badly, open your system, play EA Cricket, score 1000 runs, dismiss them for like single digit score and thus 'revenge taken' But the BIG ANT entry in Cricket world is not like that, like simply bashing the ball straight from ball 1. Rather, you have to play as if you are almost playing the game for real, study the field, analyse the gaps and predict what the bowler would bowl and the go for the shots. You can't simply swing your bat. This is what happens if you try to show your EA skills in Big Ant cricket titles without much practice. (Clean Bowled, edge or LBW) Big Ant Studios have put a lot of effort and have made this game after Cricket 19, now its more realistic. So, enjoy the game and try to improve your timing and placement by having Net practice or batting gameplay... Both the 14 and 17 version were class apart compared to previous Cricket games! Cricket 22 brings a new control system delivering the batting, bowling, and fielding experience by providing you a greater level of variety and precision of play. Motion captured first class cricketers, including Female commentary for the first time in all game modes.. More refined shots, more detailed characters and on the top of that more detailed cricket.. Plenty of new stuff to try and deliver. This is going to be the best Cricket game ever made... Thanks Big Ant and Mr.Ross God bless you!!! Hello Cricket Fans - I know this is bit early to say all these things but whatever you gonna read below is true and next to reality. First thing first.. Congratulations to Mr. Ross and Big Ant studios , you guys nailed it. What a way to start this new year 2022, extremely happy today. The new update PLATINUM cleared all the doubts and questions with ease. Now Gameplay looks balanced and smooth. Few Things will always be there for sure but we can avoid them for a while and it also depends on person to person, platform to platform which is a serious to task to handle. Since beginning I am agreeing on one thing - HOLD YOUR HORSES, Keep patience and maintain some positivism in community but not sure why everyone is so fast paced, they need everything so fast. ALWAYS REMEMBER - What Comes Fast Goes Away Fast So keep playing the game and supporting dev's They are doing their very best and we should be thankful for this. Stadiums, Commentary and whole new movements are making this game a magical moment. Literally I have no more words to explain but this is it- A NEW SENSATION AMONG GENERATION which BETTER BIGGER AND BOLDER THAN EVER. Thanks BIG ANT and Sir Ross Symons.

The Big Ant created Cricket 19 and it was awesome and I wanted to Support the Devs for their work Cricket 22 , loving the nets so far. so I bought it for the asking price no matter what... My message to the Devs : With not very massive community unlike like Football games has,its a risky and challenging thing to create a cricket game of this scale, I really appreciate the effort poured into it and come-on it its requires some courage to develop with this risk factor...(Hope one day we will have large licensed International Teams) Even there are very large group PC gamers who want to support the game by buying it. You guys are the only Devs in the world to create a game of this Scale.. All the best
